Abstract: This document describes techniques and apparatuses including a solder joint damage-prevention mode for a computing device. In general, the computing device may enter the solder joint damage-prevention mode to transfer heat to solder joints and prevent failure mechanisms such as fracture, creep, and/or fatigue. The solder joint damage-prevention mode may rely upon one or more operations, including identifying a state of the computing device in or following which damage to the solder joints has an increased likelihood and, in response, activating a thermal-conditioning system. The thermal-conditioning system may, in general, increase a temperature of the solder joints to improve mechanical robustness of the solder joints.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of compositions for treating or preventing a condition in a subject by inhibiting androgen signaling. The use of composition comprises methods of treating or preventing cancer with agents that inhibit androgen signaling. The pharmaceutical composition will further comprise agents that inhibit Androgen receptor activity, transcription, or expression in a subject.

Abstract: Utilizing existing information of community transportation offerings, the present invention builds customized travel routes to enable independent mobility for individuals with cognitive disabilities. Visual, aural, and sensory prompts are provided based on the location of, and through, a mobile device. Concurrently with providing direction and reassurance to the traveler, the system monitors the location and progress of the traveler along the route. Upon recognition that the mobile device (traveler) is no longer on the initiated route, a caregiver, or the like, is notified to render assistance.

Abstract: A load sensing circuit includes a load coupled to a load source having a load voltage that causes a load signal to flow through the load. A regulated sink circuit is coupled in series to a sink source and the load, and provides a sink voltage. A comparison circuit a reference signal that establishes a reference value of a second electrical characteristic at a reference input; a sense input is coupled to the load and to the regulated sink circuit. The regulated sink circuit regulates the first electrical characteristic of the load signal, based on a regulation signal, so that a sense value of the second electrical characteristic present at the sense input matches the reference value of the second electrical characteristic. A comparison signal is generated at an output of the comparison circuit, and indicates a difference between the sense value of the second electrical characteristic and the reference value of the second electrical characteristic.

Abstract: A method for compliance testing of a Digital Interface Board attached to Automatic Test Equipment in the testing of integrated circuit semiconductor devices using Impedance Response Profiling. The includes launching alternating voltage digital clock signals from the Pin Electronics to one or more circuit paths in the Digital Interface Board, and sampling a mix of the launched alternating voltage digital clock signals and reflected signals. The method also includes compositing time domain waveforms originating at the Pin Electronics, and generating an initial reflection response profile baseline. The method is repeated at a later predetermined time, generating a later reflection response profile. The method further includes comparing the initial reflection response profile baseline with the later reflection response profile, and determining whether the one or more circuit paths of the Digital Interface Board are in compliance with predetermined operating standards.

Abstract: System and methods for a decentralized hybrid air-ground autonomous last-mile goods delivery are disclosed herein. A drone can include a controller configured to cause the drone to depart from a docking station of a vehicle, transmit a discovery message to available vehicles in an operating area, the discovery message having drone metadata, select at least one of one of the available vehicles based on response codes received from the available vehicle, or a nearest fixed docking station, and dock with a docking station of the one of the available vehicles or the nearest fixed docking station.

Abstract: A semiconductor device package may include a leadframe having a first portion with first extended portions and a second portion with second extended portions. Mold material may encapsulate a portion of the leadframe and a portion of a semiconductor die mounted to the leadframe. A first set of contacts of the semiconductor die may be connected to a first surface of the first extended portions, while a second set of contacts may be connected to a first surface of the second extended portions. A mold-locking cavity having the mold material included therein may be disposed in contact with a second surface of the first extended portions opposed to the first surface of the first extended portions, a second surface of the second extended portions opposed to the first surface of the second extended portions, the first portion of the leadframe, and the second portion of the leadframe.

Abstract: A method has now been found for the preparation of calcium, magnesium, and zinc salts of sugar acids, this being the object of the present invention, which is characterized in that the method may include providing a sugar and oxidizing the sugar to a sugar acid in the presence of a noble metal catalyst, oxygen, and a heterogeneous hydroxide source. Preferably the oxidation is carried out with a gold catalyst, and a heterogeneous source of magnesium, calcium, or zinc hydroxide. The oxidation can be performed in a batch or continuous manner.

Abstract: Systems and methods for artificial intelligence based, such as machine learning-based, image analysis and suggestion of optimal or desired placement of surgical appliances and/or medical alignment devices, with, in certain implementations, supervised learning provided by users. A computing device may receive a target image captured via an image sensor; process the captured target image to identify anatomical features within the captured target image; calculate, via a trained neural network or artificial intelligence algorithm, a placement orientation and position of a virtual surgical appliance and/or desired item within the identified anatomical features; and render, on a display screen, the captured target image and the virtual surgical appliance and/or desired item at the calculated placement orientation and position.

Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to methods, systems, and computer-readable media to relight a video. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a plurality of frames of a video. Each video frame includes depth data and color data for a plurality of pixels. The method further includes segmenting each frame based on the depth data to classify each pixel as a foreground pixel or a background pixel. The method further includes setting depth value of each background pixel to a fixed depth value and applying a Gaussian filter to smooth depth value for the plurality of pixels. The method further includes calculating surface normals based on the depth values of the plurality of pixels. The method further includes rendering a relighted frame by adding a virtual light based on the surface normals and the color data.

Abstract: A video data collection and sharing platform is provided capable of detecting high-priority events and communicating alerts to users. A high-priority event is captured by a video capturing device with one or more sensor modules, including one or more video cameras for recording video footage. A network connection is established and input from one or more sensor modules is received. The input includes image data from the one or more video cameras. An input from the one or more sensor modules is analyzed to determine a potential high-priority event. Upon determining a potential high-priority event, conditions of the network connection are measured and an amount of data to be transmitted to a remote server through the network connection is determined based, at least in part, on the measured conditions of the network connection. The determined amount of data is then transmitted to the remote server. The transmitted data includes at least part of the image data from the one or more video cameras.

Abstract: A testing system for a wellbore operation and method of testing a fluid sample from a wellbore. A fluid sample is obtained from the wellbore operation. The fluid sample is received at a first test station having a first robot arm for performing a test on the fluid sample. A controller receives data on the wellbore operation, selects the test based on the data and controls the first robot arm to perform the test. A result of the test is used to adjust a parameter of the wellbore operation.

Abstract: A flow tagging technique includes tagging a data flow at a plurality of points in the data flow. For example, the data flow can be tagged at a socket and at a proxy manager API. By tagging the data flow at multiple points, it becomes possible to map network service usage activities to the appropriate initiating applications.

Abstract: An audio customization system operates to enhance a user's audio environment. A user may wear headphones and specify what portion the ambient audio and/or source audio will be transmitted to the headphones or the personal speaker system. The audio signal may be enhanced by application of a spatialized transformation using a spatialization engine such as head-related transfer functions so that at least a portion of the audio presented to the personal speaker system will appear to originate from a particular direction. The direction may be modified in response to movement of the personal speaker system.

Abstract: A computerized mapping system is provided, including a map server configured to, in a map serving phase, receive a request from a client device to view a portion of a map at least partially including a building for which an indoor map is available, at a requested level of detail that is outside a range for displaying the indoor map, and transmit a target tile with a prerendered bitmap image for the building, and a client-side renderable geometric element with a perimeter and a client-side renderable visual feature of the internal map feature of the indoor map selected according to a selection criterion set by an authorized user of the indoor map, to the client device for display.

The system and method includes at least: initializing, at execution time of an application code, a scan of actions performed by the application code on resources of a cloud computing environment; identifying an existing set of permissions for the resources; identifying one or more accessed permissions by the application code based on the actions performed by the application code on the resources; generating a new set of permissions for accessing the resources based on the identifying the existing set of permissions and the one or more accessed permissions; transmitting the new set of permissions to a database for storage and later retrieval; and applying the new set of permissions to the resources when the application code is executed in a production environment.

Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying clouds and cloud shadows in satellite imagery are described herein. In an embodiment, a system receives a plurality of images of agronomic fields produced using one or more frequency bands. The system also receives corresponding data identifying cloud and cloud shadow locations in the images. The system trains. a machine learning system to identify at least cloud locations using the images as inputs and at least data identifying pixels as cloud pixels or non-cloud pixels as outputs. When the system receives one or more particular images of a particular agronomic field produced using the one or more frequency bands, the system uses the one or more particular images as inputs into the machine learning system to identify a plurality of pixels in the one or more particular images as particular cloud locations.

Abstract: A scrap melting system and method includes a vessel that is configured to retain molten metal and a raised surface about the level of molten metal in the vessel. Solid metal is placed on the raised surface and molten metal from the vessel is moved upward from the vessel and across the raised surface to melt at least some of the solid metal. The molten metal is preferably raised from the vessel to the raised surface by a molten metal pumping device or system. The molten metal moves from the raised surface and into a vessel or launder.
