Abstract: Providing TCP/IP control commands to a storage system includes intercepting TCP/IP data provided on a TCP/IP network, determining if the TCP/IP data corresponds to a control command directed to the storage system, and converting the TCP/IP data to a Fibre Channel control command that is forwarded to the storage system if the TCP/IP data is a control command directed to the storage system. A host may intercept the TCP/IP data. The host may be coupled to the storage system. The storage system may have only Fibre Channel connectivity. A PC having only TCP/IP connectivity may provide the control commands via the TCP/IP network. At least two hosts may be coupled to the TCP/IP network. Software on one of the hosts may provide the control commands for the storage system. The storage system may be coupled to an other one of the hosts.

Abstract: A method may include transmitting, by a wireless device to a base station, a capability message indicating an activation delay of an antenna panel of the wireless device. The method may include receiving a downlink control information (DCI) comprising a time domain resource assignment field with a slot offset value larger than the activation delay of the antenna panel. The DCI may schedule a transmission of a transport block and indicate activation of the antenna panel. The method may include receiving, via the antenna panel, the transport block in a time slot based on the slot offset value.

Abstract: A universal threshing concave for an agricultural combine for harvesting different types of crops is disclosed. The threshing concave comprises a frame with a pair of opposite side members and opposite end members. The invention further comprises an array of threshing bars angled and notched along their longitudinal extent, and hexagonal in cross-section. Each bar is seated in openings in the end members of said frame.

Abstract: Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems are equipped with channel extenders to further increase the number of receive and/or transmit antennas that can be supported by a given radar transceiver. One illustrative radar system includes: a radar transceiver to generate a transmit signal and to downconvert at least one receive signal; and a receive-side extender that couples to a set of multiple receive antennas to obtain a set of multiple input signals, that adjustably phase-shifts each of the multiple input signals to produce a set of phase-shifted signals, and that couples to the radar transceiver to provide the at least one receive signal, the at least one receive signal being a sum of the phase-shifted signals. An illustrative receive-side extender includes: multiple phase shifters each providing an adjustable phase shift to a respective input signal; a power combiner that forms a receive signal by combining outputs of the multiple phase shifters.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device that includes a mobile device cavity that is configured to receive and retain a mobile device and an internal storage compartment is disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the case has a molded multi-layered construction. In such embodiments, the exterior back surface of the case may be configured to conceal the existence of the storage compartment or may alternatively be transparent to facilitate scanning of personal items held in the storage compartment without requiring removal therefrom. In some embodiments, the protective case provides different user viewing operating positions while minimizing bulkiness and weight.

Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and reception apparatus for extracting metadata, and an information providing apparatus for providing the metadata. The method for extracting metadata includes processing, by circuitry of the reception apparatus, content that includes the metadata embedded therein. The metadata is embedded as a watermark in a first portion of a video frame of the content. The circuitry determines symbol values of the watermark from the video frame based on luminance values in pixels of the first portion of the video frame of the content to extract the metadata. At least one of the luminance values is less than 16.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modeling electric vehicle towing are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining that a trailer is connected to a vehicle, generating a surface mapping of the trailer based on output of a sensor assembly of the vehicle, predicting a drag coefficient of the trailer based on the surface mapping, estimating a drag force based on the drag coefficient and the surface mapping, calculating an estimated range for the vehicle based on the drag force, and displaying the estimated range on a human machine interface of the vehicle.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein to address the problems discussed above and in particular to provide coordination for uncoordinated content. Beyond simply archiving and/or organizing available content, the methods and systems generate composite media assets that provide enriched details and supplemental data that extends beyond any given source content. The methods and systems achieve this through a novel data filtration and synchronization process.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing access to computing services include an access manager that receives a request to modify a configuration of a computing service to a new configuration. The access manager stores a previous configuration of the computing service, updates the configuration of the computing service from the previous configuration to the new configuration based on information representing the new configuration, and starts a service request timer for the computing service. The access manager receives a subsequent request. When the subsequent request is a reconnect request, the access manager deletes the stored previous configuration. When the subsequent request is not a reconnect request or a new request the access manager returns an error when the service request timer has not expired, or sets the configuration of the computing service to the previous configuration of the computing service when the timer has expired.

Abstract: A silicone prosthesis delivery apparatus and associated methods are disclosed for facilitating the transport and subsequent insertion of a silicone prosthesis into a surgically developed pocket of a patient. In at least one embodiment, a flexible, substantially funnel-shaped delivery sleeve is constructed out of a material having a lubricating additive that forms a textured inner surface within the delivery sleeve. An entry portion of the delivery sleeve defines a stretchable entry opening configured for allowing the prosthesis to pass therethrough to a position inside the delivery sleeve. An opposing exit portion defines a stretchable exit opening configured for allowing the prosthesis to pass therethrough when the prosthesis is subsequently expelled from the delivery sleeve. A volume of surgical lubricating fluid coats the textured inner surface of the delivery sleeve so as to reduce the coefficient of friction between the inner surface of the delivery sleeve and the prosthesis.
