  • Publication number: 20220234414
Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for using vehicles to detect and remediate air pollution. In an example implementation, a server computer transmits a directive to a vehicle controller of a vehicle, to measure an air pollution level around the vehicle at a first location. The vehicle controller executes an air pollution measurement and transmits measurement data to the server computer. The server computer evaluates the measurement data and directs the vehicle controller to perform a remedial action for reducing the air pollution level at the first location. The remedial action can involve, for example, the vehicle controller moving the vehicle from the first location to a second location. The server computer may also determine whether the first location is a transient pollution location or a persistent pollution by directing the vehicle controller to carry out measurements at two different times and/or by employing two different sampling rates.

  • Publication number: 20220238343
Abstract: A method of singulating a silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor wafer can include defining a cut within the silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor wafer by performing a partial dicing operation where the SiC semiconductor wafer is aligned along a plane and the cut has a depth less than a first thickness of the SiC semiconductor wafer. The cut is aligned along a vertical direction orthogonal to the plane such that a portion of the SiC semiconductor wafer has a second thickness that extends between a bottom of the cut and an outer surface of the SiC semiconductor wafer. The method can further include defining a cleave, by performing a cleaving operation, through the portion of the SiC semiconductor wafer having the second thickness. The cleave can be aligned with the cut and extending to the outer surface of the SiC semiconductor wafer.

Abstract: A silicone prosthesis delivery apparatus and associated methods are disclosed for facilitating the transport and subsequent insertion of a silicone prosthesis into a surgically developed pocket of a patient. In at least one embodiment, a flexible, substantially funnel-shaped delivery sleeve is constructed out of a material having a lubricating additive that forms a textured inner surface within the delivery sleeve. An entry portion of the delivery sleeve defines a stretchable entry opening configured for allowing the prosthesis to pass therethrough to a position inside the delivery sleeve. An opposing exit portion defines a stretchable exit opening configured for allowing the prosthesis to pass therethrough when the prosthesis is subsequently expelled from the delivery sleeve. A volume of surgical lubricating fluid coats the textured inner surface of the delivery sleeve so as to reduce the coefficient of friction between the inner surface of the delivery sleeve and the prosthesis.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for 5G media streaming. In some examples, a user device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry sends a request from a 5G media streaming (5GMS) service client of the user device to a 5GMS application function for a 5G data network. The request can request for a 5GMS service. The processing circuitry then receives an acknowledgement from the 5GMS application function with information of a 5GMS application server that is instantiated by an edge application server. Then, the processing circuitry can perform the 5G media streaming based on the information of the 5GMS application server.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for ensuring electronic communications have not been intercepted and manipulated. An exemplary device generates a public/private pair of keys, and transmits the public key to another device with information about the data to be shared. The second device encrypts associated data, while also executing a hash function on at least a portion of the data. The first device receives the encrypted data, decrypts it, and verifies its accuracy using a third party. The third party also executes the hash function on the data received from the first device, and transmits the output of that hash function to the first device. Both the first device and second devices and display the hash values, allowing users to visually determine if the data has been manipulated during the transaction.
