Abstract: Systems and methods for coordinating the transportation of shipping containers through a terminal are provided. The systems and methods provide for efficient storage of shipping containers in flow stacks in a terminal, enable collaboration among users, and provide efficiencies in executing export street turns and the use of off dock container yards.
Abstract: The present subject matter provides various technical solutions to technical problems facing sensor-based vehicle safety technology. To address problems facing identification of safety features (e.g., safety sensors) for a particular vehicle, a vehicle safety feature identification system may be used to identify a vehicle and the safety features that are installed on that vehicle. To address problems facing identification of which safety sensors require maintenance, a vehicle safety feature maintenance system may be used to identify vehicle safety sensors based on information received about one or more vehicle repairs, such as structural repairs following a vehicle collision. The vehicle safety feature maintenance system may use image data or other inputs to identify a vehicle repair area, identify other vehicle components that must be removed or adjusted to complete the vehicle repair, and identify all vehicle safety sensors and other safety features that will need to be repaired, replaced, or recalibrated.
Abstract: Packaging for protecting a brush comprises a box and a brush. The brush has bristles forming a particular shape, and the box defines a nose with a corresponding shape for accommodating the bristles without bending or impacting the bristles, whereby the brush holds its form while packaged. The brush preferably is an angular brush. The box includes a lid by which the brush is secured, with a handle of the brush extending through an opening in the lid.

Abstract: A system includes one or more processors that are configured to obtain a measured fuel consumption rate for an internal combustion engine while the engine is operating at a predetermined operating condition to perform a mission. The one or more processors are also configured to compare the measured fuel consumption rate with an expected fuel consumption rate for the predetermined operating condition. Further, the one or more processors are configured to determine whether an injector flow limiter is in a latched condition based on the measured fuel consumption rate compared with the expected fuel consumption rate. Also, the one or more processors are configured to perform a responsive action responsive to determining that the injector flow limiter is in the latched condition.

Abstract: A compostable laminate for food wrap and method for making same. The wrap can include a first layer of paper material, a second layer of paper material, and a series of coatings between the paper materials. The coatings include a first flood coating having water and/or barrier properties, a second flood coating having water and/or oil barrier properties, and a third coating that only partially covers the second flood coating. None of the first, second and third coatings comprise a thermoplastic or polyolefin, and are made substantially from one or more biodegradable and/or compostable materials.
Abstract: Presented are flutter countermeasure devices and control logic for active aerodynamic systems, methods for making/using such active aero systems, and vehicles equipped with spoiler flutter countermeasure devices for increasing downforce and decreasing drag. A method of operating an active aerodynamic system of a motor vehicle includes detecting, via a system controller based on sensor data received from one or more sensing devices, a flutter excitation experienced by a spoiler of the active aero system during operation of the motor vehicle. The controller determines a harmonic oscillation amplitude of the flutter excitation experienced by the spoiler, and then determines if this harmonic oscillation amplitude exceeds a vehicle-calibrated threshold amplitude. If so, the system controller determines a damping force sufficient to mitigate or eliminate the harmonic oscillation amplitude.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, systems, and apparatuses, for a microphone circuit. In particular, the circuit includes transducer that can sense pressure changes and generate an electrical signal having frequency components in a first frequency range and in a second frequency range higher than the first frequency range. The circuit includes a feedback circuitry that can attenuate frequency components in the first frequency range in the electrical signal and, from it, generate an audio signal. A feedback path circuit includes a low pass filter having a cut-off frequency within the first frequency range, and filters the audio signal to generate a low pass filter signal that includes frequency components in the first frequency range. The low pass filter signal can be used to generate a low frequency pressure signal that corresponds to low frequency pressure changes sensed by the transducer.
