Abstract: A method for matching and tracking workpieces in laser etching operation includes generating by the computer a label image that uniquely identifies the workpiece, moving a laser head to the workpiece, setting the laser head to a first power level by a power controller, etching the product image on the workpiece using a laser beam emitted from the laser head, wherein the laser beam is modulated at the first power level in accordance with a product image in a pixel wise fashion across the workpiece, moving the laser head to the label by the transport mechanism, setting the laser head to a second power level by the power controller, etching the label image on the workpiece using a laser beam emitted from the laser head, wherein the laser beam is modulated at the second power level in accordance with the label image in a pixel wise fashion across the label.

Abstract: The invention provides crystalline forms of biphenyl-2-ylcarbamic acid 1-(2-{[4-(4-carbamoylpiperidin-1-ylmethyl)benzoyl]methylamino}ethyl)piperidin-4-yl ester, and pharmaceutically acceptable solvates thereof. The crystalline form can be a freebase, or a salt such as a diphosphate, monosulfate or dioxalate salt. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising these crystalline compounds or prepared using these compounds; processes and intermediates for preparing the crystalline compounds; and methods of using these compounds to treat a pulmonary disorder.
Abstract: Analogs for CLR/RAMP receptor ligands are provided that have agonist, superagonist, antagonist, super-antagonist, or multiple receptor modulating activity. The analogs can be selective for one or more CLR/RAMP receptors, or can be pan-specific for multiple G protein-coupled receptors.
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to communication generation by traversing routes of a graph in a complex computing network. The communication generation is used for determining whether certain input data has certain desired data attributes.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for providing access to records of a database stored on a database server in a cloud database platform are described herein. A data sharing platform may determine a shared view definition for access to the database. The data sharing platform may determine rules that specify criteria that limit access to the records stored by the database. The one or more first rules may be received via a user interface. The data sharing platform may perform, based on the rules, a data access certification process on the records stored by the database to generate a table of certification results. The data sharing platform may generate, based on the table of certification results, and without modifying the records stored by the database, a limited consumer view definition. Based on updates to the records, a new limited consumer view definition may be generated.
Abstract: A transmitter transmits payload data using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) symbols. The first OFDM symbol is a first type having a number of sub-carriers which is less than or equal to the number of sub-carriers of the one or more second OFDM symbols of a second type and a guard interval for the first OFDM symbol is selected in dependence upon the longest possible guard interval of the second OFDM symbol. Accordingly an OFDM communications system can be formed in which data is transmitted using a frame structure in which a guard interval is adapted to allow a mix of different types of OFDM symbols.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining total hardness in a fluid stream utilizing an ion exchange column in a monovalent cationic form having an inlet and an outlet, where one or more monovalent ion selective electrodes are positioned either at an inlet, outlet, or at both locations simultaneously. The monovalent cation selective electrodes are in electrical communication with one another, and in fluid communication with one or more valves incorporated within a fluid path in order to introduce feed water/softened water to the monovalent cation selective electrodes. Additionally, one blending valve may be incorporated in the ion exchange column to allow a fraction of the feed (hard) water to mix with a fraction of the softened water. In this manner, the blending valve may be utilized to adjust the hardness of the water at the output.

Abstract: Logic may detect a malfunctioning payment interface on a customer's payment instrument. Logic may receive transaction data about at least one transaction performed via a payment instrument associated with a customer. The transaction data may indicate a payment interface of the payment instrument through which the customer conducted the at least one transaction and the payment instrument may comprise one or more payment interfaces. Logic may determine, by a model, based on the transaction data, a probability of a malfunction by at least one interface of the one or more payment interfaces. The model may be trained based on a pattern of transactions associated with malfunctioning payment instruments. Logic may compare the probability of the transaction against a threshold. And logic may determine whether to contact a customer associated with the payment instrument, based comparison of the probability of the transaction against the threshold.
Abstract: A system, method, and air purification device. Air is taken in from an environment into the air purification system. The air is prefiltered. The air is filtered with a primary filter. The filtered air is treated with vacuum ultraviolet radiation in a primary reaction chamber to generate irradiated air. The irradiated air is treated with ultraviolet-C radiation in a secondary reaction chamber to remove ozone. Ozone and other contaminants are removed from the irradiated air utilizing a carbon filter to generate purified air. The purified air is emitted back into the environment from the air purification system.
