  • Patent number: 11391101
Abstract: The invention provides a bit breaker comprising a generally flat plate that defines two arms and a base leg. The two arms project respectively from opposed ends of the base leg. The bit breaker has a generally rectangular pipe slot located between the two arms. The bit breaker includes a jaw mounted on one of the arms so as to be removable therefrom when damaged and thereafter replaced with a new jaw. The jaw defines a working surface located on a side of the pipe slot. In some embodiments, the bit breaker further comprises a security plate attached to the generally flat plate so as to define a mount space between the generally flat plate and the security plate. The jaw is received in the mount space such that the jaw has limited freedom of movement relative to both the generally flat plate and the security plate.

  • Patent number: 11390538
Abstract: A method and system of wastewater evaporation uses a turbine-based wastewater evaporation system to convert wastewater to steam. The wastewater evaporation system includes a wastewater heating track disposed in the interior of the exhaust collector of the turbine in the flow path of turbine exhaust. The wastewater fluidly communicated therethrough is heated by the turbine exhaust and fluidly communicated to a plurality of atomization nozzles. The plurality of atomization nozzles direct atomized wastewater into the interior of the exhaust port of the turbine that is converted to steam in the presence of turbine exhaust within the exhaust port. The system may be disposed on a mobile trailer or skid to facilitate disposing the system on a job site and may be remotely controllable by a remote operator.

  • Patent number: 11391848
Abstract: A method of Doppler-based localization includes establishing an estimated position for a moving receiver. The method also includes generating a plurality of candidate positions about the estimated position. Each candidate position corresponds to a possible actual location of the moving receiver. For each available satellite, the method includes receiving a measured Doppler effect for a signal from the respective available satellite caused by the moving receiver. For each available satellite, the method also includes, at each candidate position, determining a predicted direction of the signal based on ray-launching the signal to the respective satellite and generating a predicted Doppler effect for the moving receiver.

  • Patent number: 11393028
Abstract: According to various embodiments, trades may be filled based at in part on order price and fill rates determined for providers of orders. In some embodiments, orders at a given price in an order book may be ordered in order of decreasing fill rate, such that orders associated with a higher fill rate (or higher probability of fill) are preferenced above orders associated with a lower fill rate. In some embodiments, order books may also be ordered based in part on response times from order providers. For example, orders in an order book may be ordered according to an algorithm that preferences higher fill rates and shorter response times ahead of orders with lower fill rates and longer response times. Order book ordering algorithms may also consider order quantity and interdependence and duplication of order quantity.

  • Patent number: 11390899
Abstract: Cell-associated secretion-enhancing fusion proteins are disclosed that comprise a target protein binding domain and a transmembrane retention domain. Co-expression in a host cell of a fusion protein and a target protein of interest that is temporarily bound by the fusion protein leads to an increased level of target protein secreted from the host cell. The fusion proteins are engineered to be retained with the producing host cell, thus eliminating a non-natural component from the extracellular media of the host cell and simplifying purification of the target protein. Nucleic acid molecules encoding such fusion proteins are also disclosed for use in expressing the fusion proteins in host cells, for use in restoring lost or diminished cell functions, and for use in treating diseases characterized by a lost or diminished cell function. Methods and compositions comprising fusion proteins of the invention are disclosed for use in enhancing the level of co-expressed target proteins secreted from host cells.

  • Patent number: 11392329
Abstract: Two data storage systems, DS1 and DS2, may be initially configured with identifiers for target ports and target port groups. Subsequently, the two system may be combined into a cluster including a stretched volume configured from the volumes V1 and V2, respectively, on DS1 and DS2, where V1 and V2 are exposed to the host as the same logical volume, L1, over multiple paths from DS1 and DS2 to the host. V1 may have a normal attribute indicating target ports and port groups of DS1 have associated identifiers as specified in an initial configuration when reporting information regarding L1 to the host. V2 may have an extended attribute indicating that target ports and port groups of DS2 have associated extended identifiers determined using a first extended value and using identifiers from an initial configuration when reporting information regarding L1 to the host.

  • Patent number: 11394704
Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that enable integrated second factor authentication. These techniques and apparatuses enable the improved security of something you have without the accompanying inconvenience or chance of loss. To do so, a secure physical entity is integrated within a computing device. While this provides the something you have without a need to carry a separate object with you, the something you have also must not be able to be accessed remotely. To prevent remote access physical wires are connected from the secure physical entity to physical structures on the computing device. In this way, a hacker or cyber thief cannot convince an authentication system that the cyber attacker does indeed have the something you have because to do so the attacker must be in physical possession of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 11395036
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to methods and systems for annotating generating training data for video quality impairment detection. A video stream recorder extracts one or more image frames from a reference video stream as it is played. A video image labeler embeds a unique label into each of the one or more extracted image frames. The video stream recorder records the one or more labeled image frames as a labeled video stream. The video stream player then plays the labeled video stream through an impaired communication channel to generate a degraded video stream. A video image comparator compares one or more corresponding frames of the labeled video stream and the degraded video stream to generate one or more difference frames. An impaired image recorder annotates at least one of the one or more difference frames according to a corrupted region of the at least one difference frame.

  • Patent number: 11395194
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for indicating data status to a target base unit. One apparatus includes a transceiver that communicates with a remote unit and a processor that determines to perform a conditional handover of the remote unit to a target base unit. The processor sends a conditional handover command to the remote unit, the conditional handover command including at least one condition the remote unit is to monitor for fulfillment prior to handing over to the target base unit. The processor receives uplink data from the remote unit after sending the conditional handover command and forwards the uplink data to the target base unit. The processor also sends an end marker to the target base unit in response to completing the forwarding of the uplink data.
