Abstract: A device for generating a scented mist of an atomized liquid fragrance oil includes an atomizer complex, a reservoir assembly, a drainage tube, and a vacuum tube. The atomizer complex can atomize the liquid fragrance oil into a scented mist and deliver the scented mist to air outside of the atomizer complex, where the liquid fragrance oil the fragrance oil that is not atomized into the scented mist delivered to the air outside of the atomizer complex includes collected oil that is collected and drained to a reservoir assembly. A drainage tube extends from a bottom area of the atomizer complex into the liquid fragrance oil. The device can filter the liquid fragrance oil in the reservoir assembly and the collected oil from the atomizer complex that drained down the drainage tube. The vacuum tube can suction the filtered liquid fragrance oil and the collected oil into the atomizer complex for atomization.

Abstract: A surgical instrument is provided. The surgical instrument has a drill bit employable in drilling procedures wherein the drill bit has an internal grasping hook. As a result, the drill bit may not only drill into bone, but may also be used to grasp an object within or part of the body. The present surgical instrument reduces contamination and difficulty which may otherwise result from switching surgical instruments from a drill to a grasping mechanism or from the need to drill multiple holes into the patient's body.

In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving audio data of an utterance. The actions include generating a word lattice that includes multiple candidate transcriptions of the utterance and that includes transcription confidence scores. The actions include determining a context of the computing device. The actions include based on the context of the computing device, identifying grammars that correspond to the multiple candidate transcriptions. The actions include determining, for each of the multiple candidate transcriptions, grammar confidence scores that reflect a likelihood that a respective grammar is a match for a respective candidate transcription. The actions include selecting, from among the candidate transcriptions, a candidate transcription.

Abstract: An electrically operated aerosol-generating system may include a reservoir configured to hold a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, an atomizer assembly configured to vaporize the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to form an aerosol, and a pump configured to convey the liquid aerosol-forming substrate from the reservoir to the atomizer assembly. The reservoir may include a substantially rigid housing and an inlet valve that is configured to allow air into the reservoir based on a pressure difference between an interior of the housing and an exterior of the housing exceeding a threshold pressure difference. This improves the reliability and efficiency of delivery of liquid to the wick. The system may further include a robust reservoir that is configured to at least partially mitigate liquid leakage between the reservoir interior and the reservoir exterior.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for processing a query for a ranking of candidates for an opportunity. During operation, the system obtains parameters associated with a query for a ranking of candidates for an opportunity, wherein the parameters include a candidate and the opportunity. Next, the system matches one or more of the parameters to a fixed number of quantile thresholds calculated from a distribution of scores for the candidates. The system then estimates, based on the fixed number of quantile thresholds, a quantile for a score of the candidate. Finally, the system outputs a position of the candidate within the ranking based on the estimated quantile.
