Abstract: A tampon and therapeutic delivery device is disclosed and includes a generally cylindrical applicator tube defining a cartridge within which a tampon is slidably received for ejection through one end of the cartridge. A generally hollow cylindrical plunger member is slidably received within an opposite end of the cartridge for ejecting the tampon therefrom. A cannabinoid-infused disintegrable carrier material is partially embedded in and movably held by the tampon for intravaginal delivery when ejected from the cartridge, whereupon the cannabinoid agent is released into the vagina and absorbed through the vaginal mucosa to provide relief of dysmenorrhea. The cartridge has a plurality of slots to permit pre-lubrication of the tampon, if desired, prior to insertion into the vaginal cavity. The system delivers a higher concentration to the muscle of the uterus, the primary site for the dyskinetic muscle contraction, which is the pathophysiologic cause of dysmenorrhea.
Abstract: A device and method for extracting particles contained in a ferrofluid medium are provided. Such methods may comprise suspending particles of different sizes in a ferrofluid medium and containing the ferrofluid medium in a cylindrical reservoir, and applying a first magnetic field to at least a portion of the reservoir. The first magnetic field is configured to indirectly exert a force on at least a portion of the particles of a predetermined size, and direct the portion of particles in a desired direction.
Abstract: A system includes a clutch control module, a shift control module, and a torque control module. The clutch control module is configured to generate a release command signal to switch a selectable one-way clutch (SOWC) from a locked state to a freewheel state. When the SOWC is in the locked state, a transmission transfers torque from an engine to a driveline and from the driveline to the engine. When the SOWC is in the freewheel state, the transmission transfers torque from the engine to the driveline and but not from the driveline to the engine. The shift control module is configured to generate a shift command signal to shift the transmission from a first gear to a second gear after the release command signal is generated. The torque control module is configured to increase an output torque of the engine for a period when the shift command signal is generated.

Abstract: A thermal sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a tubular woven wall extending along a central axis between opposite open ends with an outer reflective foil layer fixed thereto. The wall is woven with lengthwise extending warp yarns and circumferentially extending fill yarns. The fill yarns include first and second fill yarns bundled in side-by-side abutting relation as a single pick, thereby forming discrete single pick bundles in axially spaced relation from one another. The first fill yarn is provided as a standard monofilament, while the second fill yarn is provided having a low melt material melted and bonded to the abutting first fill yarn and to portions of the abutting warp yarns, wherein the spaces between the discrete bundles remain substantially free of melted material, thereby further enhancing longitudinal flexibility of the sleeve.

Abstract: A power supply in a test and measurement device includes a stimulus having an output coupled to an amplifier in which an output signal from the stimulus controls an output level of the amplifier. The stimulus may include a Digital to Analog Converter. A measurement circuit detects the output level of the amplifier. The power supply includes an overpulse generator that can be structured to accept a desired amplifier output level, overdrive the stimulus at a first level for a first time period, and drive the stimulus at a second level for a second time period. The measurement circuit determines when the overpulse generator switches from driving the stimulus at the first level to driving the stimulus at the second level. The time period for driving the stimulus at the second level starts as the actual amplifier output level approaches the desired amplifier output level.
Abstract: The e-vaping section includes a housing, the housing defining an inlet to allow air to be drawn into and through an airflow path, a reservoir in the housing, the reservoir being configured to contain a pre-vapor formulation, a heater and wick arrangement in fluid communication with the reservoir and the airflow path, the heater and wick arrangement being configured to volatilize the pre-vapor formulation to produce a vapor, a connector on a first end of the e-vaping section, an electrical terminal held within connector, an annular seal in fluid communication with the inlet, the annular seal defining a first air passage of the airflow path, and a flow restrictor being held by the annular seal, the flow restrictor defining a second air passage of the airflow path, the flow restrictor being configured to provide a desired resistance-to-draw (RTD) for the e-vaping section, the annular seal encompassing the flow restrictor.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for predicting a vehicle pose. In one embodiment, a system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium. The non-transitory computer readable medium includes: an asynchronous prediction module configured to, by a processor, receive vehicle data from a vehicle, and compute a prediction of vehicle pose from the vehicle data, wherein the computation is performed asynchronously using a vehicle time frame and a common coordinate system; and a synchronous prediction module configured to, by the processor, compute a final prediction of the vehicle pose across the vehicle population based on the prediction of vehicle pose from the asynchronous prediction module, wherein the computation is performed synchronously using a global time frame and the common system.

Abstract: Efficient message formats and procedures for demarcation of the start and end of downlink messages are disclosed, greatly simplifying the task of user devices in finding and interpreting their downlink messages among a stream of signals on 5G/6G downlink channels. A low-complexity message may begin and/or end with a “gap” (a resource element with no transmission), indicating the message boundaries. The demarcation may also include demodulation references, which may include characteristic patterns according to message type and position. The identification code of the user device may be applied at the start or end of each downlink message to further assist the user device. To select the desired demarcation format, the user device can transmit a request message to the base station, specifying a particular format for demarcations of its downlink messages.
