Abstract: A dipper for a work machine is disclosed. The dipper may have a front cavity wall forming an inlet which defines a vertical inlet plane, a rear cavity wall opposite the front cavity wall forming an outlet which defines an outlet plane, a top cavity wall extending between front and rear cavity walls defining a horizontal top plane, a bottom cavity wall opposite the top cavity wall defining a bottom plane, and two side cavity walls. The two side cavity walls may further extend between the front and rear cavity wall. The outlet plane may be angled relative to the inlet plane, the bottom plane may be angled relative to the top plane, and the outlet plane is perpendicular to the bottom plane.

Abstract: Hearing instruments, such as hearing aids, may improve a quality of presented audio through the use of a binaural application, such as beamforming. The binaural application may require communication between the hearing instruments so that audio from a left hearing instrument may be combined with audio from a right hearing instrument. The combining at a hearing instrument can require synchronizing audio sampled locally with sampled audio received from wireless communication. This synchronization may cause a noticeable delay of an output of the binaural application if the latency of the wireless communication is not low (e.g., a few samples of delay). Presented herein is a low-latency communication protocol that communicates packets on a sample-by-sample basis and that compensates for delays caused by overhead protocol data transmitted with the audio data.

At least one example embodiment is a method including: sampling a drain-to-source voltage of a power transistor during a switching period of the driving LED, the sampling creates a sampled drain-to-source voltage; creating an error signal based on a difference between the sampled drain-to-source voltage and a setpoint drain-to-source voltage, the setpoint drain-to-source voltage proportional to a setpoint average current through the LED; and changing an on-time of a charge mode of an inductor based on the error signal.

Abstract: A system and method that uses geo-location and a rules engine to facilitate compliance to federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies across different jurisdictions that may have different compliance regulations. A mobile workforce may use the techniques herein to manage work assignments, report activities, and to manage and track time. This technology may be used, e.g., in the transportation industry, but is not limited to this industry.

Abstract: A campaign server is disclosed which includes a multi-level queue architecture that isolates campaign processing from the delays and inconsistencies of target population information retrieval and a data streaming service system with latency and error remediation measures are disclosed, where the campaign server and the data consumption system can be part of a consolidated system. The data consumption system may include various components to process one or more offers to one or more customers and component configured to detect an error associated the preparation of the errors and/or ii) initiate a retry attempt to process the one or more offers, and and/or storing an instruction in a storage component of the streaming data system to permanently prohibit an attempt to generate the one or more offers at a subsequent time if the retry attempt expires without processing the one or more offers.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for receiving media data. One apparatus includes processing circuitry that receives a media presentation description (MPD) file that includes an essential property descriptor indicating a session-based description (SBD) file. The essential property descriptor includes an attribute that indicates a class for a uniform resource locator (URL) request used for requesting a resource. The class identifies a type of the requested resource. The processing circuitry generates the URL request based on the SBD file and the class indicated in the attribute included in the essential property descriptor. The processing circuitry sends the URL request to a server to request the resource of which the type is identified based on the class of the URL request.

Abstract: A vehicle, system, and control method include a traction battery having a plurality of cells, a temperature sensor configured to measure battery temperature of the traction battery, an electric machine powered by the traction battery and configured to provide propulsive power to the vehicle, and a controller configured to control at least one of the electric machine and the traction battery using an estimated battery power capability or estimated battery state of charge based on battery parameters initialized upon requesting activation of the traction battery with an open circuit voltage that varies based on elapsed time from the traction battery becoming inactive. The open circuit voltage may be estimated using parameters including a first resistance, a second resistance in series with the first resistance, and a capacitance in parallel with voltage across the capacitance initialized based on an exponential function of the elapsed time.

Abstract: Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a body portion of a golf club head may include a cavity having an opening and an internal structure defined by a wall portion and a base portion. A hosel portion may include an insert portion and a neck portion extending therefrom. The hosel portion may be attached to the body portion by an interference fit between the neck portion and the opening of the cavity. The insert portion may be received inside the cavity and may be spaced apart from the internal structure of the cavity. A space between the insert portion and the internal structure of the cavity may be partially or entirely filled with an adhesive to hold the hosel portion in place. Other examples may be described and claimed.

Abstract: An electrified vehicle, system, and control method include a traction battery having a first plurality of cells and a second plurality of cell monitoring circuits each having an associated at least one of the first plurality of cells, and a controller configured to control the cell monitoring circuits to measure voltage of the associated cells at an initial frequency until a state of charge (SOC) of the traction battery is established, and to measure voltage of the associated cells at a second frequency based on the SOC after the SOC is established to reduce heat generation of the cell monitoring circuits. The cell monitoring circuits may be controlled to asynchronously measure associated cell voltage and/or to reduce voltage/current conversion time when delta cell voltage and battery pack current are below respective thresholds.

Abstract: According to an example for providing dynamic content and pricing, pricing data for at least one item accessible in a software application is loaded, and current profile data for an active user of the software application and historical profile data for a group of users is loaded. A behavior metric is calculated for the active user based on the current profile data of the active user and the historical profile data of the group of users, and a price for the at least one item for the active user is calculated based on the behavior metric. In another example, an item to offer a user is determined based on localization data, and in another example, a combination or sequence of items to offer is determined.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for receiving media data. One apparatus includes processing circuitry that receives a media presentation description (MPD) file that includes an essential property descriptor for session-based dynamic adaptive streaming over hypertext transfer protocol (DASH) operation. The essential property descriptor indicates a session-based description (SBD) file that includes one or more key-value pairs dynamically generated by a local SBD session controller. Each key of the one or more key-value pairs indicates service information of a different service of a local device. The processing circuitry modifies a uniform resource locator (URL) based on the SBD file. The processing circuitry acquires a resource from a remote server based on the modified URL.

Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for recording media data such as audio data in one or more communication modes based on gestures on a graphical user interface (GUI) of an electronic device is provided. A gesture based media recording application (GBMRA) provided on the electronic device defines multiple interface regions on the GUI. The GBMRA detects a gesture on an interface region and performs a first action associated with recording of the media data in a communication mode. The GBMRA detects another gesture on the same interface region or another interface region and performs a second action. The first action and the second action include at least one of triggering recording of the media data, switching from one communication mode to another for recording the media data, canceling recording of the media data, generating and displaying multiple options for performing an operation associated with the recorded media data, etc.

The insert is configured to substantially limit anterior-posterior translation of the femoral component and define a pivot axis that extends through the medial dwell region. Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to improved processes for the preparation of various phosphorus oxides and phosphoric acid. Phosphorus oxides prepared in accordance with the present invention include phosphorus (III) oxides (e.g., tetraphosphorus hexaoxide (P4O6)). Phosphorus (III) oxides such as P4O6 are useful products and are also useful as precursors in preparation of other products, including phosphorous acid (H3PO3) and other phosphorus-containing chemicals. Certain aspects of this invention are also directed to using various byproducts formed during P4O6 production as precursors for the formation of phosphoric acid (H3PO4) and P2O5. In particular, the present invention is directed to improved processes for the preparation of phosphorus (III) oxides (e.g., P4O6) suitable for use in the preparation of phospho-herbicides such N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine (glyphosate) and precursors thereof (e.g., N-(phosphonomethyl)iminodiacetic acid (PMIDA)).
