Abstract: A system for consistently implementing reset and power management of IP agents on a System on a Chip (SoC). When IP agents undergo a reset, an individual negotiation takes placed between an interconnect and each IP agent over a link. Each IP agent can emerge from reset at its own time schedule, independently of the timing of the other IP agents. The interconnect may be configured as a proxy for any IP agent that is inoperable, including prior to reset, when in a power-down mode, or malfunctioning.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus in a multi-carrier cellular wireless network with random access improve receiving reliability and reduce interference of uplink signals of a random access, while improving the detection performance of a base station receiver by employing specifically configured ranging signals.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a region of semiconductor material comprising a major surface and a first conductivity type and a shielded-gate trench structure. The shielded-gate trench structure includes an active trench, an insulated shield electrode in the lower portion of the active trench; an insulated gate electrode adjacent to the gate dielectric in an upper portion of the active trench; and an inter-pad dielectric (IPD) interposed between the gate electrode and the shield electrode. An interlayer dielectric (ILD) structure is over the major surface. A conductive region is within the active trench and extends through the ILD structure, the gate electrode, and the IPD, and is electrically connected to the shield electrode. The conductive region is electrically isolated from the gate electrode by a dielectric spacer. The gate electrode comprises a shape that surrounds the conductive region in a top view so that the gate electrode is uninterrupted by the conductive region and the dielectric spacer.

Abstract: End-to-end task oriented latent compression using deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is performed by at least one processor and includes generating latent representations of an input image using a first neural network, wherein the latent representations is a sequence of latent signals, encoding the latent signals using a second neural network, generating a set of quantization keys based on a set of previous quantization states, wherein each quantization key in the set of quantization keys and each previous quantization state in the set of previous quantization states correspond to each of the latent signals using a third neural network, generating a set of dequantized numbers representing dequantized representations of the encoded latent signals based on the set of quantization keys using a fourth neural network, generating a reconstructed output based on the set of dequantized numbers, and performing a target task based on the reconstructed output using a fifth neural network.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for scanning a mobile computing device for applications produced by partnered entities and providing benefits when those applications are found. An exemplary system does this by accessing a list of applications and associating each application with a respective entity which has a rewards program linked to a specific entity. The system issues a request for application information of the applications which are installed on the mobile computing device, identifies applications that match the list of applications in the data record, and generates at least one notification based on the identified applications and the rewards program. The system then displays the at least one notification.

Abstract: Various arrangements are detailed herein related to managing video recording. A system can include a network-enabled video camera that captures a video stream of a location and streams the video stream to a cloud-based home assistant integration platform. The system can include a home assistant device comprising a microphone and wireless network interface, the home assistant device configured to receive, via the microphone, a spoken command that requests video, captured by the network-enabled video camera, be recorded. The cloud-based home assistant integration platform may be configured to analyze the video stream captured using the network-enabled video camera to determine an identity of the user. The platform may be further configured to store a portion of the video stream linked to a user account of the user based on the spoken command and the identity of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the location of advertisements in multimedia assets are disclosed. A method includes obtaining an audio signature corresponding to a time period of a multimedia asset, identifying a match between the obtained audio signature and one or more stored audio signatures, comparing programming data of the multimedia assets of the obtained audio signature and the matching audio signatures, and determining whether the time period of the multimedia asset contains an advertisement based on the comparison of the programming data of the multimedia assets of the obtained audio signature and the one or more matching audio signatures. Another method includes identifying matches between a plurality of obtained audio signatures and a plurality of stored audio signatures, and determining whether consecutive time periods of the multimedia asset contain an advertisement based on a number of consecutive matching audio signatures of the plurality of stored audio signatures.

The inverted diffuser includes at least one first section having a first vertical inner surface, a first inclined inner surface relative to the first vertical inner surface, and one or more channels supporting one or more releasable fasteners between the at least one first section and a wall of a wellhead or of a wellsite equipment. At least one second section is press-fitted or fastened adjacent to the at least one first section. A method for application of the inverted diffuser in a wellhead and in other wellsite equipment is also disclosed, along with a method of manufacture of the inverted diffuser.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a new and improved paper-based container. More specifically, the invention relates to a paper-based container that is comprised of a relatively low-density polyethylene coating on one or both surfaces of the container and at least two skive flaps, wherein each of said skive flaps is created during the manufacturing process. The skive flap further comprises at least one leading edge of the container body, and prevents unwanted moisture from entering the container and the contents of the container from saturating the paper-based material. One skive flap is preferably folded in a manner in which a portion of the outside surface of the container is adhered to the inside surface, a second skive flap is adhered to the outside surface and a third skive is formed at the bottom of the container.

Abstract: Systems are provided for gripping one or more workpieces. A tooling system includes a plurality of grippers configured to engage and grip the workpieces. An arm is connected with each gripper. A lock releasably locks each arm in a number of positions, including a home position. A pneumatic circuit is coupled with the grippers. A valve is disposed in the pneumatic power supply circuit and is positionable in an open state and in a closed state. When the arm is moved to the home position, in response the valve is mechanically moved to the closed state, idling the gripper.

A reflected signal is generated from a target caused by the first signal generated by the main coil circuitry. The magnetic field sensor also includes magnetoresistance circuitry configured to receive an error signal. The error signal is formed from a combination of the reflected signal and a second magnetic field signal. The magnetic-field sensor further includes analog circuitry configured to receive an output signal from the magnetoresistance circuitry, digital circuitry configured to receive an output signal from the analog circuitry, feedback circuitry configured to receive a feedback signal from one of the digital circuitry or the analog circuitry, and secondary coil circuitry configured to receive a driver signal from the feedback circuitry causing the secondary coil circuitry to generate the second magnetic field signal at the first frequency.

Abstract: Detecting systems configured to detect airborne viruses, and methods of forming the same, are provide. A method for preparing a system for detecting an airborne virus includes preparing a thin-film coating on a surface of a substrate; ablating the coating to form an optical grating structure; and associating a plurality of receptors having an affinity and specificity for the virus with the optical grating structure so that the structure is capable of indicating the presence of the virus. A detecting system includes the optical grating structure and an optical component. The optical component includes a cavity defined by two opposing reflecting surfaces and configured to receive the optical grating structure, and a light source disposed adjacent to an exterior surface of a first reflecting surface. The light source may be configured to direct light towards the first reflecting surface so that light in resonance enters the cavity.

Abstract: A first wireless device receives, from a base station, configuration parameters of a scheduling request for a sidelink buffer status report (BSR) of a sidelink between the first wireless device and a second wireless device. The scheduling request is triggered for the sidelink BSR in response to data becoming available for transmission to the second wireless device via the sidelink. The first wireless transmits, based on the triggering and to the base station, a preamble for a random access procedure to obtain a first uplink grant to transmit the sidelink B SR. The sidelink BSR is transmitted via a second uplink grant different from the first uplink grant indicated in a random access response corresponding to the preamble. The random access procedure is stopped in response to transmitting the sidelink BSR.

The moveable sections (2) overlap inside of the fixed-section (1) when fully retracted. The wing also comprises at least two tracks (310,316) and track-mating parts (320). The track-mating parts (320) are attached near the roots of the moveable sections (2) and translate along the tracks (310,316) to guide the moveable sections (2). A non-overlapped wing with motors (331) that translate with the moveable sections (2) and which have attached gear heads (332). A rack (341) is located within the fixed section (1). Rotation of the gear heads (332) against the rack (341) causes the moveable sections (2) to translate.
