  • Publication number: 20220213850
Abstract: Magnetic latching valves for a vehicle engine have a housing having a first port and a second port in controlled fluid communication with one another. The housing encloses a linearly translatable armature seated within a solenoid and connected to a primary poppet valve. The armature is movable between an open position and a closed position, respectively, after a pulse of voltage to the solenoid and is in an unpowered state thereafter. A permanent magnet is fixedly seated in a position to magnetically latch the armature in a fully open position. A spring is seated to bias the primary poppet valve closed when the armature is in the closed position. The spring has a spring rate that mechanically relieves pressure by opening the primary poppet valve a distance less than the fully open position when the spring force is exceeded, thereby also allowing flow in the primary flow direction.

  • Publication number: 20220215244
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for dynamically selecting alternative content based on real-time events during device sessions using a cross-channel, time-bound deep reinforcement machine learning. The use of this architecture allows for alternative content to be selected in a time-bound and continuous manner that provides predictions in a dynamic environment (e.g., an environment in which user data is continuously changing and new events are continuously occurring) and with an increased success rate (e.g., new data and events are factored into each prediction). For example, in the system each round of predictions considers both input features, which can change by a user's actions, state of a user interface, and/or previous responses and states.

  • Patent number: 11381093
Abstract: Disclosed herein are battery management systems and methods for activating battery override logic for a battery management system to provide a power path to a battery pack. A method of activating battery override logic for a battery management system may comprise detecting a predetermined key toggle sequence performed in a predetermined amount of time or detecting an override message received from a CAN bus. The method may further comprise determining if the last override turn-on sequence was requested more than a predetermined amount of time ago, confirming that the override is configured for the contactor, and turning on the contactor to provide a power path to the battery pack for a limited predetermined amount of time. An exemplary predetermined toggle sequence may comprise on-off-on-off-on performed within 10 seconds. An exemplary override message from the CAN bus may be initiated by a user having a key, code, or access card.

  • Patent number: 11379539
Abstract: The technology described herein builds an optimal refresh schedule by minimizing a cost function constrained by an available refresh bandwidth. The cost function receives an importance score for a content item and a change rate for the content item as input in order to optimize the schedule. The cost function is considered optimized when a refresh schedule is found that minimizes the cost while using the available bandwidth and no more. The technology can build an optimized schedule to refresh content with incomplete change data, content with complete change data, or a mixture of content with and without complete change data. It can also re-learn content item change rates from its own schedule execution history and re-compute the refresh schedule, ensuring that this schedule takes into account the latest trends in content item updates.

  • Patent number: 11379576
Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for the application of an artificial neural network architecture to identify intrusion in a database. Changes to components of a data table of the database may be tracked as a snapshot of the changes over a period of time. Any change in the data table may be associated with a user. Utilizing multiple snapshots, a background substitution technique may be utilized to generate a matrix of the changes to the data table over a period of time. A model having an artificial neural network architecture may utilize the matrix as an input set to identify the user as an unauthorized user accessing the database.
