Abstract: An integrated circuit device having insulated gate field effect transistors (IGFETs) having a plurality of horizontally disposed channels that can be vertically aligned above a substrate with each channel being surrounded by a gate structure has been disclosed. The integrated circuit device may include a temperature sensor circuit and core circuitry. The temperature senor circuit may include at least one portion formed in a region other than the region that the IGFETs are formed as well as at least another portion formed in the region that the IGFETs having a plurality of horizontally disposed channels that can be vertically aligned above a substrate with each channel being surrounded by a gate structure are formed. By forming a portion of the temperature sensor circuit in regions below the IGFETs, an older process technology may be used and device size may be decreased and cost may be reduced.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for control of data and content protection mechanisms across a network using a download delivery paradigm. In one embodiment, conditional access (CA), digital rights management (DRM), and trusted domain (TD) security policies are delivered, configured and enforced with respect to consumer premises equipment (CPE) within a cable television network. A trusted domain is established within the user's premises within which content access, distribution, and reproduction can be controlled remotely by the network operator. The content may be distributed to secure or non-secure “output” domains consistent with the security policies enforced by secure CA, DRM, and TD clients running within the trusted domain. Legacy and retail CPE models are also supported.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing mobile payments is provided. An account issuer provides an application that is loaded onto a mobile device, which enables a consumer to pay for transactions. The mobile payment application generates a unique code. The code is read by the point of sale terminal, which is then provided to the payment management system. The payment management system contracts the account issuer and authenticates the code, thereby receiving a primary account number. Account number and transaction information is used to authorize the transaction via payment systems. The payment system accepts or declines the transaction in a response. Tokens may be generated for the account number, and value added services may be generated based upon user behaviors.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for proactively enriching content of electronic communications through predicting user intents. User-composed content within an electronic communication is observed and used to predict one or more intents each associated with a task related to the communication and to be completed in creating the communication. Task-queries may be generated based on the detected intents and entities extracted from the user-composed content, contextual information, or other information related to the user, such as a user-knowledge database. User selection of a suggested task-query automatically executes the task-query, and the results are provided to the user. Each result may include an action involving adding content to or supplementing the content of the electronic communication. A conversational digital assistant may further be invoked to interact with the user to confirm and/or modify suggested task-queries and results of selected task-queries.

Abstract: The technology disclosed herein provides a blockchain transactions forwarding mechanism that allows for tracking and notification from the originating blockchain through to a last blockchain and back again. An implementation of the system disclosed herein also provides a whitelist mechanism to provide a list of acceptable blockchains or nodes that may receive transactions. Yet another implementation provides a predetermined hop count that may be used as the maximum allowable hop counts that provides the number of times a transaction is allowed to be forwarded.

Abstract: A removable real time clock battery (“RRTCB”) assembly is disclosed herein. The RRTCB assembly has an outer housing removably mounted in a port of a downhole tool. The outer housing is adapted to receive at least a portion of an inner housing. The inner housing has a cavity therein and is mounted in the port of the downhole tool. The inner housing is removably disposed within the outer housing. A real time clock battery is removably disposed in the cavity of the inner housing. The real time clock battery electrically connects to a clock disposed within the downhole tool. The RRTCB assembly can be readily removed from the downhole tool or bottomhole assembly (while at the earth's surface) without otherwise disassembling the downhole tool. The real time clock battery can then be removed and replaced or installed if not present.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems for data center cooling and water desalination. In some aspects, the systems include a data center having a water cooling subsystem configured to receive cool water and output warm water and a desalination plant co-located with the data center and configured to receive and desalinate the warm water. Aspects of the invention also include methods for cooling a data center using a water cooling subsystem and desalinating water with a desalination plant that is co-located with the data center.
Abstract: A modular and portable charging station according to various aspects of the present technology may include a main chassis body that is fully assembled at one location and then transferred as a whole to a desired location and placed into operation without the need for significant site modification, or connection to the electric power grid. The interior of the main chassis body may contain one or more removable charging stations and at least one removable battery bank. The battery bank provides each charging station with electrical power to charge a vehicle battery system. The portable charging station may comprise its own onboard power supply configured to use renewable sources to maintain a charge to the battery bank. The portable charging station may also be configured to be connected to a local power source that is connected to the local power grid. A power management system monitors the charge level of the battery bank and is able to select an appropriate method of recharge.

Abstract: Examples are disclosed herein that relate to automatically limiting an output current of a voltage regulator circuit responsive to detecting that the voltage regulator is in a current overload mode. In one example, a voltage regulator circuit includes an amplifier stage and a current limiter stage electrically connected to an output of the amplifier stage. The amplifier stage is configured to output a DC voltage based on a reference voltage and feedback from an output voltage. The current limiter stage is configured to operate in a quiescent mode and an overload mode. In the quiescent mode, the current limiter stage is configured to operate as a buffer stage that forms a closed feedback loop to an input of the amplifier stage. In the overload mode, the current limiter stage is configured to act as a current source that clamps an output current to a designated current.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a pre-chamber. In one example, the pre-chamber includes a moveable element configured to adjust an orifice opening area of the pre-chamber in response to conditions.

Abstract: Techniques and devices are provided for sensing image data from a scene and activating primary light sources based on information sensed from the scene. Subsets of a plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit sensing spectrum of light onto a scene. Combined image data may be sensed from the scene while the subsets of the plurality of primary light sources are activated. Reflectance information for the scene may be determined based on the combined image data and combined sensing spectra. Spectrum optimization criteria for the primary light sources may be determined based on the reference information and a desired output parameter provided by a user or determined by a controller. The plurality of primary light sources may be activated to emit a lighting spectrum based on the spectrum optimization criteria.
