Abstract: In particular embodiments, a computing system may receive receiving a first image frame of a sequence of image frames to be shown on a display having a plurality of backlight zones. The computing system may compute backlight unit statistics of the first image frame. The backlight unit statistics may represent grayscale levels for the plurality of backlight zones. The computing system may compute a global dimming gain for adjusting color values and backlight unit intensity of a second image frame of the sequence of image frames based on the backlight unit statistics of the first image frame. The computing system may adjust, using the global dimming gain, the color values and the backlight unit intensity of the second image frame.
Abstract: A mobile locker includes one or more dispensing units. Each dispensing unit consists of an accessible product space where each product space also includes a temperature monitor. A passible environmental control incudes a multiple of containers located around the perimeter of each accessible product space. Further, each of the containers incorporates a phase change material (PCM) that is used to temperature condition each accessible product space.
Abstract: Methods for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in a patient are disclosed. In the methods, a patient having COPD is selected for treatment based on the patient's peak inspiratory flow rate (PIFR) and percent predicted force expiratory volume in one second (FEV1); and a bronchodilator is administered to the selected patient using a nebulizer. Administration of a bronchodilator to patients having low PIFR and a percent predicted FEV1 less than 50 percent using a nebulizer as the inhalation delivery device provides significantly greater improvements in trough FEV1 and trough forced vital capacity (FVC) compared to administration of a bronchodilator to such patients using a dry powder inhaler.

Abstract: Generating and validating a subscription key based on subscription parameters associated with a jurisdiction file stored in a NVRAM, the subscription key having characters based on a subscription start date, a subscription term, a key generation date, and a cyclical redundancy check value. Parameters are extracted from the subscription key including the subscription start date, the subscription term, the key generation date, and the cyclical redundancy check value and are stored in a memory of the gaming machine. The key is checked by generating a local cyclical redundancy check value based on a MAC address of the gaming machine and one or more of the extracted parameters, and is validated when the local cyclical redundancy check value matches the cyclical redundancy check value extracted from the subscription key. The jurisdiction file may be updated during a RAM clear function during installation of the gaming machine.

Abstract: A charging management system includes a network interface, a memory, and a processing circuit including a processor. The processing circuit is configured to determine monetary information related to an energy price, determine an electrical vehicle (EV) power limit PLIM for a total amount of EVs in an EV charging network, transmit the monetary information to two or more agents, each of the two or more agents associated with an EV in the EV charging network, receive, from each of the two or more agents, a bid including: an agent monetary value, a desired charging rate PD, and a charging interval, and allow the EVs associated with the two or more agents to be charged based on each of the bids.
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a VC/XR connection system that can establish and administer an XR space for a video call. The VC/XR connection system allows users to easily transition from a typical video call experience to the XR space, simply by putting on her artificial reality device. The VC/XR connection system can identify calendared video call events, establish corresponding XR spaces, and create a link between the video call and the XR space. Invitees to the video call that don an artificial reality device can be automatically taken into the XR space. The XR space can A) connect to the video call as a call participant, allowing the video call participants to see into the XR space and B) show a feed of the video call in the XR space, allowing users in the XR space to see the video call participants.

Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory, and the memory stores instructions executable by the processor to receive operation data generated by first components of a vehicle; determine that the vehicle is being operated autonomously by an on-board autonomous-operation module based on the operation data without using output from the on-board autonomous-operation module; and upon determining that the vehicle is being operated autonomously, actuate a second component of the vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods include aggregating network access to tenant spaces distributed among multi-tenant structures with each multi-tenant structure having a network access configuration to access a network architecture. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to identifying the network access configuration for the multi-tenant structure. The network access configuration provides the multi-tenant structure access to the network architecture so that each tenant space has access to the network architecture. Network access parameters are determined in real-time that each tenant space network device is to have access to execute as provided by a central network aggregation control system that determines the network access for each tenant space network device. The network access parameters regulate access that each tenant space network device has to the network architecture.
Abstract: Implementations relate to identifying actions performed by a user while the user is interacting with multiple applications and providing a routine suggestion to the user based on the identified actions. While a user is interacting with one or more applications, the user actions are determined. The user actions are compared to one or more template routines and a template routine is selected that matches the actions of the user and provided to the user as a suggested routine. The suggested routine can be implemented by an automated assistant to perform the actions of the template by providing a corresponding command.

Abstract: This document describes systems and techniques for encoding a video frame using different compression ratios or compression algorithms for text blocks and non-text blocks. The described systems and techniques can determine, using a machine-learned model, which blocks of a frame include and do not include text. The described systems and techniques can then use a different compression ratio or compression algorithm for text blocks than the compression ratio or compression algorithm used for non-text blocks. For example, the systems and techniques can encode the text blocks using a first compression ratio that results in higher video quality than a second compression ratio used on at least some non-text blocks. In this way, the described systems and techniques can improve text legibility in a video file without significantly increasing the bandwidth requirements to transmit the video file to remote computing devices.

Abstract: A modular integration kit for a positioning system, like a positioning system on a vehicle, includes a configurable foundation plate, a dampened bolting structure, and a modular vibration isolation assembly. The configurable foundation plate is configured to attach to the positioning system. The dampened bolting structure is affixed to the configurable foundation plate. The dampened bolting structure is configured to attach a payload to the positioning system, like for attaching a payload of a rifle, an optic and/or a rocket launcher onto a positioning system of a vehicle. The modular vibration isolation assembly is arranged between the configurable foundation plate and the dampened bolting structure. The modular vibration isolation assembly is configured to dampen the dampened bolting structure from movements of the configurable foundation plate attached to the positioning system.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a clip system and methods for using same for the attachment of finish panels to modular walls. The clip system includes a lower portion for attachment to the modular wall, an upper portion with a receptacle for attaching the panel, and a middle portion connecting the upper and lower portions. The middle portion further allows movement between portions so that the clip system can be expanded in two axial directions for precise panel placement. Further panels can be adjusted about the upper portion in a third axial direction. Thus, the clip system facilitates panel positioning and attachment in an exact, three-dimensional location on the modular wall.
