Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices for detecting twist input with an interactive cord. An interactive cord may be constructed with one or more conductive yarns wrapped around a cable in a first direction (e.g., clockwise), and one or more conductive yarns wrapped around the cable in a second direction that is opposite the first direction (e.g., counter-clockwise). A controller measures one or more capacitance values associated with the conductive yarns. In response to detecting a change in the one or more capacitance values, the controller determines that the change in the capacitance values corresponds to twist input caused by the user twisting the interactive cord. Then, the controller initiates one or more functions based on the twist input, such as by controlling audio to a headset by increasing or decreasing the volume, scrolling through menu items, and so forth.

Abstract: A first conversion layer material is formed on unmasked pixel areas of a substrate. Mask material is selectively removed from a second set of pixel areas, leaving a third set of pixel areas masked. A coating is formed on sidewalls of the second pixel areas, and then a second conversion layer material is formed on the second pixel areas and against their sidewalls. Mask material is removed from the third pixel areas, a coating is formed on sidewalls of the third pixel areas, and a third conversion layer material is formed on the third pixel areas and against their sidewalls. The resulting wavelength-conversion layer includes contiguously arranged regions of the first, second, and third conversion layer materials, at least two of which are wavelength-converting phosphor materials. The sidewall coatings between the regions act as barriers to lateral light transmission.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method is performed after locking a first clock of a computing device to synchronize with a second clock associated with a first device where a difference between the first clock and the second clock is determined during the locking. The method measures a path delay to a second device based on sending messages including first timestamps of the first clock to the second device and receiving messages including second timestamps of a third clock from the second device. A third message is sent to the second device that includes a third timestamp of the first clock that has been locked to the second clock, wherein the third message includes the path delay, and wherein the third timestamp and the path delay allow the second device to analyze a lock quality of the first clock to the second clock based on a time of the third clock.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus including processing circuitry for video decoding. The processing circuitry decodes, from a coded video bitstream, a first syntax element indicating whether a first component in the coded video bitstream is coded based on a second component in the coded video bitstream. The processing circuitry determines whether to decode one or more second syntax elements for a chroma related coding tool based on the first syntax element. The chroma related coding tool is a luma mapping with chroma scaling coding tool or a cross-component adaptive loop filter. The one or more second syntax elements are decoded when the first syntax element indicates that the first component is coded based on the second component. The one or more second syntax elements are not decoded when the first syntax element indicates that the first component is not coded based on the second component.

Abstract: A system for providing surgical planning and guidance with three-dimensional visualization is disclosed. In particular, the system obtains an image set of an anatomy of interest of a subject, and renders the image set on a user interface using volume rendering. Notably, the system accomplishes the foregoing without generating surface models or conducting bone contouring. The system may, during generation of an implant plan for implanting an implant onto the anatomy of interest, suggest landmark points in the volume rendered image set. Once the landmark points are confirmed, the system may facilitate implant positioning via implant controls. The system conducts a registration process to confirm a match between the physical anatomy of interest and the information contained in volume-rendered image set in the plan. If there is a match, the system may facilitate performance of a surgical procedure for implanting the implant onto the anatomy of interest of the subject.
