Abstract: Dynamic data rate selection in wireless networks is described. The includes sending, by a wireless controller to a base station, an access point power-data rate table. The base station updates a base station power-data rate table with the access point power-data rate table based on checking defined thresholds, confirms the validity of the updated base station power-data rate table by receiving measurements from a user device responsive to communications using the updated base station power-data rate table, reverts to a previous base station power-data rate table if the measurements indicate that the updated base station power-data rate table is not correct, and sends to the wireless controller one of the updated base station power-data rate table or the previous base station power-data rate table. The wireless controller updates the access point power-data rate table and sends the updated access point power-data rate table to an access point.

Abstract: A plurality of temporally successive vehicle sensor images are received as input to a variational autoencoder neural network that outputs an averaged semantic birds-eye view image that includes respective pixels determined by averaging semantic class values of corresponding pixels in respective images in the plurality of temporally successive vehicle sensor images. From a plurality of topological nodes that each specify respective real-world locations, a topological node closest to the vehicle, and a three degree-of-freedom pose for the vehicle relative to the topological node closest to the vehicle, is determined based on the averaged semantic birds-eye view image. A real-world three degree-of-freedom pose for the vehicle is determined by combining the three degree-of-freedom pose for the vehicle relative to the topological node and the real-world location of the topological node closest to the vehicle.

Abstract: A method for streaming action fulfillment receives audio data corresponding to an utterance where the utterance includes a query to perform an action that requires performance of a sequence of sub-actions in order to fulfill the action. While receiving the audio data, but before receiving an end of speech condition, the method processes the audio data to generate intermediate automated speech recognition (ASR) results, performs partial query interpretation on the intermediate ASR results to determine whether the intermediate ASR results identify an application type needed to perform the action and, when the intermediate ASR results identify a particular application type, performs a first sub-action in the sequence of sub-actions by launching a first application to execute on the user device where the first application is associated with the particular application type. The method, in response to receiving an end of speech condition, fulfills performance of the action.

Abstract: An imaging device may include a plurality of single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) pixels. The SPAD pixels may be overlapped by square toroidal microlenses to direct light incident on the pixels onto photosensitive regions of the pixels. The square toroidal microlenses may be formed as first and second sets of microlenses aligned with every other SPAD pixel and may allow the square toroidal microlenses to be formed without gaps between adjacent lenses. Additionally or alternatively, a central portion of each square toroidal microlenses may be filled by a fill-in microlens. Together, the square toroidal microlenses and the fill-in microlenses may form convex microlenses over each SPAD pixel. The fill-in microlenses may be formed from material having a higher index of refraction than material that forms the square toroidal microlenses.

Abstract: Orders received by an electronic trading system are processed in batches based on the instrument to which an order relates. An incoming order is assigned to a queue of a queue set that makes up the batch according to a random process. Where orders are received from related trading parties, they are assigned to the same queue set according to their time of receipt. The batch has a random duration within defined minimum and maximum durations and at the end of the batch, the orders held in the queues are transferred to a matching thread of the trading system sequentially with one order being removed from each queue and a number of passes of the queues completed until orders have been removed.
