  • Patent number: 11265800
Abstract: During disclosed communication techniques, an electronic device (such as an access point) may receive one or more packets from another electronic device, where the other electronic device has an established connection or association with the electronic device, and the one or more packets are communicated using a first band of frequencies. Then, the electronic device may determine to recommend a basic service set (BSS) transition from the first band of frequencies to at least a second band of frequencies. Moreover, the electronic device may provide a request packet to the other electronic device with a recommendation with one or more candidates for the BSS transition, such as a channel in the second band of frequencies. Next, the electronic device may receive a response packet from the other electronic device, where the response packet indicates a remedial action of the other electronic device in response to the request packet.

  • Patent number: 11265703
Abstract: Data in a portable electronic device is protected by using external and internal status detection means to determine if the device is misplaced, lost, or stolen. The device then takes, singly or in combination, one of several actions to protect the data on the device, including declaring its location to an owner or service provider, locking the device or specific functions of the device to disable all data retrieval functionality, erasing or overwriting all the stored data in the device or, where the data has been stored in the device in an encrypted format, destroying an internally-stored encryption key, thereby preventing unauthorized access to the encrypted data in the device.

  • Patent number: 11262578
Abstract: An image forming system includes a spatial light modulator (SLM) including a plurality of pixels. Each pixel is configured to diffract incident light and cause the diffracted light to exit the SLM, where a first diffraction order of light exiting the SLM passes through a first exit pupil and higher diffraction orders of light exiting the SLM pass through additional exit pupils having different positions from the first exit pupil. Control logic operatively coupled to the plurality of pixels is configured to control each pixel to control its modulation of the light incident on the pixel and cause the plurality of pixels to collectively form an image at each exit pupil. A light source is configured to emit incident light toward the SLM. A resampling layer is configured to subsample each pixel electrode with two or more samples per pixel to increase a spacing between each exit pupil.

  • Patent number: 11263182
Abstract: A method and apparatus for distribution of applications amongst a number of servers, ensuring that changes to application data on a master for that application are asynchronously replicated to a number of slaves for that application. Servers may be located in geographically diverse locations; the invention permits data replication over high-latency and lossy network connections and failure-tolerance under hardware and network failure conditions. Access to applications is mediated by a distributed protocol handler which allows any request for any application to be addressed to any server, and which, when working in tandem with the replication system, pauses connections momentarily to allow seamless, consistent live-migration of applications and their state between servers.

The control system has an electromagnetic radiation source attached to the marker for producing a mark pattern on the roadway surface. An imager permits the control system to image both the pre-existing roadway surface mark and the mark pattern produced by the electromagnetic radiation source. A computer is responsive to the imager for producing an error signal based upon the location difference between (a) the image of the pre-existing roadway surface mark and (b) the image of the mark pattern produced by the electromagnetic radiation source. An actuator is responsive to the error signal for positioning the marker over the pre-existing.
