Abstract: A submersible well pump has diffusers fixed within the housing and an impeller mounted between each of the diffusers. Spacer sleeves located between and in abutment with hubs of adjacent ones of the impellers define a stack wherein the impellers rotate in unison with the shaft and are axially movable in unison with each other relative to the shaft. A stop shoulder on the shaft abuts the lower end of the stack. A spring mounted in compression around the shaft in abutment with the upper end of the stack urges the lower end of the stack against the stop shoulder. Upward movement of the stack requires further compression of the spring. Up thrust and down thrust gaps between each impeller and adjacent diffusers prevent up thrust and down thrust from being transferred to any of the diffusers.

The systems and methods include obtaining contextual information associated with an individual and device information associated with an augmented reality device associated with the individual from the augmented reality device, obtaining a plurality of data sets associated with the individual or augmented reality device from a plurality of data sources, determining a subset of information from the data sets that is relevant to the individual or the augmented reality device wherein the relevancy of the subset of information is based on an analysis of the contextual information and the device information, generating display data based on the determined subset of information, providing the display data to the augmented reality device for display on the augmented reality device wherein a graphical overlay representative of the display data is displayed in front of the individual's field of view.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to positioning animated images within a dynamic keyboard interface. In particular, the methods and systems of the present disclosure can: receive, from a user device on which an application is executed, data indicating a context of: the application, and/or a dynamic keyboard interface provided in association with the application; identify, based at least in part on the data indicating the context, a plurality of different animated images, including an animated image comprising an advertisement, for presentation by the dynamic keyboard interface; communicate, to the user device, data indicating the plurality of different animated images; receive, from the user device, data indicating a selection of the animated image comprising the advertisement; and determine, based at least in part on the data indicating the selection and the data indicating the context, a position within the dynamic keyboard interface for presenting the animated image comprising the advertisement.

Abstract: A tool for generating and publishing vehicle offers by matching up manufacturer incentive data and vehicle data received from a third party data source with inventory data received from a dealership data source is disclosed. The disclosed tool allows a user to match incentive and vehicle data to specific vehicles currently in a dealership's inventory and to generate custom offers for those specific vehicles that uniquely identify the specific vehicles from dealership's inventory.

Abstract: Systems and methods for guided vehicle matching are disclosed. In order to generate vehicle recommendations for a user of an electronic vehicle listing service, a plurality of vehicle-related lifestyle options are presented to the user, and a user selection received. Additional data regarding the user's vehicle preferences, requirements, or usage may be obtained. Based upon such information, a set of example vehicles is generated and presented to the user. Each example vehicle has characteristics representing a plurality of other vehicles. Based upon user ratings or selections of at least some of the example vehicles, a plurality of vehicle recommendations for specific available vehicles are generated and presented to the user. In some embodiments, further user interaction with such recommendations is used to refine the vehicle recommendations and identify additional vehicle recommendations.

Abstract: An electroactive device may include (1) an electroactive polymer element having a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface, (2) a primary electrode abutting the first surface, and (3) a secondary electrode abutting the second surface. The electroactive polymer element may be transformed from an initial state to a deformed state and may achieve substantially uniform strain by the application of an electrostatic field produced by a potential difference between the electrodes. Abstract: A mobile antenna array system has a first baseplate with a first groundplane. An elevated second baseplate defines an elevated second groundplane. A plurality of support antennas are positioned between the first baseplate and the elevated second baseplate. The plurality of support antennas comprise multiple antennas configured to work at different frequencies. The plurality of support antennas are coupled to the first and second baseplates in mechanical connections that provide enhanced stability, tight tolerances, repeatability and low cost through the use of printed circuit boards as substrates for one or more of the antennas and baseplates. An elevated GPS antenna is positioned above the elevated second baseplate in use. The elevated GPS antenna is configured to work within a GPS range of frequencies different from the support antenna ranges of frequencies.

Abstract: Seawalls and methods for making seawalls are disclosed. A seawall may include a concrete footing, with a first plurality of anchorages disposed in the concrete footing. A plurality of precast concrete tee beams may include single-tee beams and/or double-tee beams. Flanges of the tee beams may be positioned to form seaward and landward faces of the wall, and stems of the tee beams may be coupled to the footing between the seaward and landward faces. A second plurality of anchorages may be disposed at tops of the stems. Elongate steel components extend through the stems, and are tensioned between the first plurality of anchorages and the second plurality of anchorages. Interior fill may be disposed between the seaward and landward faces. One or more wave deflectors may be disposed above the tee beams.

Abstract: Methods for producing ceramic films Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (3YSZ) and aluminum titanate (Al2TiO5), and the physical properties of these films are described. The films produced have thicknesses and integrity suitable for handling and corrosion resistance to electrolytes, porosity, ion permeability and electrical resistivity suitable for use as separators between positive and negative layers for forming electrical batteries, particularly lithium batteries.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a system is configured to replay and/or reconstruct execution events and system states in real time or substantially in real time starting from the point when execution of a target program has stopped to the point when the user desires to step through the target program's execution in order to debug the software. In an embodiment, a system is configured to efficiently collect trace data that is sufficient to reconstruct the state of a computer system at any point of time from the start of execution to the time execution was stopped. Efficient and effective debugging of the software can be performed using embodiments of the disclosed methods, systems, and devices.

Abstract: A well production method uses side gas lift valves above a packer and an ESP below the packer. In a gas lift mode, a controller turns the ESP motor off, and shifts a tubing valve below the packer to a gas lift position while flowing gas down the casing. While in the gas lift mode, a pressure gauge monitors motor lubricant pressure, which correlates with a flowing bottom hole pressure of the well fluid in the lower casing annulus. In an ESP mode, the controller stops the flow of gas from the gas source, shifts the tubing valve to an ESP position and turns on the motor, causing well fluid to flow through the pump intake. The pressure gauge continues to monitor the lubricant pressure during the ESP mode.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to controlling a vehicle in an autonomous driving mode. For instance, a first location corresponding to a location where the vehicle is to pick up or drop off a passenger is received. A first cost for the vehicle to reach the first location is determined. A second location based on the first location is identified, and a second cost is determined based on a cost for the vehicle to reach the second location and a cost for the passenger to reach the second location. The first cost is compared to the second cost, and a notification is sent based on the notification. In response to sending the notification, instructions to proceed to the second location are received, and in response to receiving the instructions, the vehicle is controlled in the autonomous driving mode to the second location to pick up or drop off the passenger.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to systems for maintaining a user's privacy in relation to mobile computing devices. In one general aspect a system includes an acoustically insulated housing, a speaker system, a touchscreen, and a control system. The housing has an interior sized to contain a mobile computing device. The speaker system includes a speaker arranged to direct sound into the interior volume. The control system is configured to perform operations that include causing the speaker system to emit voice obscuring noise into the interior volume of the housing, receiving display data indicating content displayed on a touchscreen of the mobile computing device, causing the touchscreen display to present the display data in a manner that substantially mirrors the content as displayed on the touchscreen of the mobile computing device, and providing control signals indicating user inputs received on the touchscreen to control functions of the mobile computing device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to instruction dispatch mechanisms for superscalar processors having a plurality of functional units for executing operations simultaneously. Each particular functional unit of the plurality of functional units may be configured to output a capability vector indicating a set of operations that the particular functional unit is currently available to perform. As instructions are received in an issue queue, the functional unit to execute the instruction is selected by comparing capabilities required by the instruction to the asserted capabilities of each of the functional units. A functional unit may reset or de-assert a particular functionality while performing an operation and then re-assert the capability when the instruction is completed. A result of the operation may be stored in a skid buffer for at least as long as the chain execution time in order to avoid resource hazards are a write port of the vector register file.

Abstract: A preformed thermoplastic roadway line marking includes a preformed thermoplastic substrate layer capable of being attached to a roadway, and a preformed thermoplastic upper layer in contact with the substrate layer. Advantageously, such an upper layer includes a surface area having a plurality of spaced-apart slits. The slits penetrate through an entire cross-sectional thickness of the upper layer and are in fluid communication with the substrate layer. When heated to a liquid state, the substrate layer has a morphed shape and is at least partially displaced upwardly through the slits and disposed on the upper layer such that the upper layer is fixedly locked to the substrate layer and maintained at a substantially stable position relative to the substrate layer. Such a structural configuration provides an unexpected and unpredictable result of insuring the marking is locked into place relative to the roadway, thereby reducing labor costs and improving durability.
