Abstract: Wire rope tube tags are described that include chemically etched wire rope information on an outer surface of the tube tag. A flat sheet of metal may be etched to include wire rope-related information on a surface of the flat sheet of metal that may then be folded into a desired shape, such as a cubic tube, spherical tube, triangular tube, etc., to create a wire rope tube tag with the wire rope information on the outer surface of the tag. Several methods for attaching the folded tube tag are provided, including one or more holes located through the body of the tube tag through which a wire thread or zip tie may pass and one or more tabs extending from the tube tag that may be bent toward or angled toward the wire rope sling to pinch the wire rope and hold the tag in place.

Abstract: Files are identified for file-level restore by bitmaps of cloud snapshots of a storage volume. The bitmaps comprise a data structure for each snapshot containing record numbers of files of the storage volume and a file status bit for each such file that indicates the presence or absence of the file in the corresponding snapshot. File numbers of files of interest are obtained from record numbers of records in a volume files index of the storage volume. The bitmaps can be searched to locate the snapshots containing particular files of interest without the necessity of mounting and searching the separate snapshots on a virtual machine.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for using an ionizing fluidic accelerator that may encompass the use of an ionizing fluidic accelerator including a substrate, an electron emitter having a negative bias and being formed on the substrate, an anode having a positive bias and being formed on the substrate, and an attractor having a negative bias and being formed on the substrate. The electron emitter and the anode may be separated in a first direction and the negative bias of the electron emitter and the positive bias of the anode may produce a first electric field in the first direction. The anode and the attractor may be separated in a second direction, the positive bias of the anode and the negative bias of the attractor may produce a second electric field in the second direction, and the second direction may be orthogonal to the first direction.

Abstract: Aspects discussed herein relate to providing alerts to a community of devices located in or near a geographic area such as a building or property. The alerts override any alert-inhibiting state of the mobile device to deliver audio, visual, and/or haptic alerts in emergency situations. The communication and emergency alert system may be used to communicate with many different communities of people. Moreover, certain individuals may be members of more than one community at the same time, and the communities themselves may change over time based both on the user's preferences and on their physical locations. Users may set their own preferences for how alerts are provided, such as customizing the visual and/or audible notifications provided for an alert.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate to an electrochemical cell for removal of materials from water and methods of using the same. A method of removing phosphorus from water includes immersing an electrochemical cell in water including phosphorus to form treated water including a salt that includes the phosphorus. The electrochemical cell includes an anode including Mg, Al, Fe, Zn, or a combination thereof, a cathode including Cu, Ni, Fe, or a combination thereof. The method includes separating the salt including the phosphorus from the treated water, to form separated water having a lower phosphorus concentration than the water including phosphorus.

Abstract: A method of separating a blank from a stack of blanks is provided and includes grasping a first blank and moving the first blank away from a plurality of blanks. At least one additional blank from the plurality of blanks is adhered to the first blank to form a sub-stack of blanks and at least one impulse electrically generated force (EGF) is applied to separate the at least one additional blank from the first blank. The first blank may be grasped by a device with a force F1, and the at least one impulse EGF may be less than the force F1. Also, the at least one impulse EGF may be applied to separate the at least one additional blank from the first blank by passing a pulse of current through an EGF generator positioned adjacent the first blank and inducing an EGF within the plurality of blanks.

Abstract: Topically administrable compositions and methods for treating skin conditions in mammals, such as acne, rosacea, keratosis pilaris, photo-aging, and photo-rejuvenation. The composition includes a therapeutic amount of antihistamine selected from the group consisting of a non-sedating antihistamine, a physiologically acceptable acid of a non-sedating antihistamine, a salt of a non-sedating antihistamine, an amide of a non-sedating antihistamine, and a combination of two or more of these, and emu oil product selected from the group consisting of emu oil, a biologically active fraction of emu oil, and a combination of these. The composition further includes a therapeutic amount of topical retinoid. The combination of non-sedating antihistamine and retinoid with emu oil has been found to produce a synergistic effect that is more effective in the treatment of skin conditions than the compound used separately.

Abstract: A robust cleaning and ventilation system for a work station such as a manicure station, employing table geometry to create high efficiency in debris and odor removal while providing a conditioned make-up air return that completes the full ventilation process. The manicure station includes a modular implementation such that the necessary equipment is not a single custom bespoke installation and can be used universally.

The method may include: receiving transaction information indicating that a transaction of one or more products and/or services has been made by a user from a merchant; when the transaction information is received, scanning a user e-mail account to identify a receipt for the transaction within an e-mail of the user e-mail account, wherein the receipt is indicative of a transaction price; when the receipt for the transaction is identified: extracting information of the one or more products and/or services from the receipt; and based on the extracted information, automatically generating and submitting a price adjustment claim for the one or more products and/or services when a price lower than the transaction price is found; and when the receipt for the transaction cannot be identified: automatically submitting information about a missing receipt to a fraud system.

The processor determines the trailer brake gain based upon the trailer wheel rotation information corresponding to the plurality of different evaluation trailer brake gains.

Abstract: A least-privilege permission or permissions is automatically assigned to a client application in order to ensure that the client application is able to perform the bare minimum actions on a resource. The client application accesses the protected resource using a web API. The determination of the least-privilege permission(s) is based on actions previously performed on the resource by the client application. The identity provider monitors the actions performed on a resource by the client application and determines the bare minimum permission needed for the client application.

Abstract: A process for preparing an isocyanate product includes providing a phosgene inlet stream and an amine in solvent inlet stream to a phosgenation mixer, the amine in-solvent inlet stream including one or more amines and one or more inert solvents, and during steady state operation compensating for a fouling pressure drop increase by decreasing a pressure drop in the phosgenation mixer over a time period divided into at least a first period of time T1 and a second period of time T2 that is subsequent to the first period of time T1. During the second period of time T2 an amine concentration of the one or more amines in the amine-in-solvent stream is higher than during the first period of time T1, and during the second period of time T2 a phosgene-to-amine ratio value in the phosgenation mixer is higher than during the first period of time T1.

The bottle gripping assembly also includes a base supporting the bottle gripping arms, with the base having a top surface and a recess into the top surface, a wear pad located in the recess of the base, with the wear pad and the base under the upper surface of the recess having a pair of aligned fastener holes, a pair of fasteners, with each one of the fasteners extending through one of the bottle gripping arms and into one of the fastener holes to connect the bottle gripping arms to the wear pad and the base, and a pair of wear bushings, with each of the wear bushings having a tubular portion that extends into one of the bottle gripping arms and surrounds a portion of the fasteners.

Abstract: A door operating system for moving a door about a vertical pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The door operating system includes a driver including a free-ended output shaft and linkage for operably connecting the output shaft of the driver with door. An adjustable and selectively operable coupling is disposed between the free-end of the output shaft of the driver and the linkage. The adjustable coupling has a pair of coaxially spaced and adjustable interfaces. A first adjustable interface is defined between the free-end of the output shaft and the coupling while a second adjustable interface is defined between the coupling and the linkage whereby allowing for a high resolution, angular adjustment of the position of the door.

Abstract: The specification and drawings present a new apparatus and method for managing/configuring by the memory module controller storing operational state data for operating the memory module controller into an extended random access memory comprised in a memory module and in a host system memory of a host device during various operational modes/conditions of the memory module and the host system memory. Essentially, the memory module controller operated as a master for the data transfers as described herein. The operational state data typically comprises state information, a logical to physical (L2P) mapping table and register settings.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to conduct surveys are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an activity sensor to generate activity information, and a location sensor to generate location information corresponding to a portable device carried by the person. The apparatus further includes a processor to: generate media monitoring information indicative of exposure of the person to at least one of an advertisement or a product; determine a number of exposures the person has had based on the media monitoring information; identify a survey question based on the number of exposures; determine a speed of travel of the person based on at least one of the location information or the activity information; and compare the speed of travel to a threshold. The apparatus also includes a communication interface to automatically offer the survey question via the portable device when the processor determines the speed of travel is beneath the threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed is an induction burner ignition system that implements an induction burner located external to the fire pot. The induction burner can be controlled by a controller to start and stop according to a predetermined heating algorithm, and can further provide heat via heat sinks in contact with the induction burner. Because the induction burner is located external to the fire pot, it is easily repairable or replaceable and avoids the harmful atmosphere of the fire pot. The induction burner also provides more uniform heating than conventional hot rod technology to improve the pellet heating process.
