Abstract: A fuel control system obtains a measured amount of fuel consumed by an engine and one or more corresponding operating parameters of the engine and determines a fuel consumption modeled amount based at least in part on a fuel consumption model of the engine and the one or more operating parameters. The fuel consumption model associates different amounts of fuel that, when supplied to the engine, generate corresponding designated outputs of the engine. The system also determines one or more differentials between the measured amount of fuel and the modeled amount and, responsive to the one or more of the differentials exceeding a threshold value, the system identifies one or more components of the powered system that contribute or cause the one or more differentials and/or changes an amount of fuel supplied to the engine according to the fuel consumption model to obtain a desired output of the engine.

Abstract: A drive-sense circuit module (DSC) includes at least one regulated source circuit coupled to a load, and to a loop correction circuit. The regulated source circuit generates a power signal, which has a regulated characteristic and a controlled characteristic. At least one reference circuit applies a reference signal to loop correction circuit that establishes a reference value of the controlled characteristic. The loop correction circuit senses an effect of one or more load characteristics on a sensed value of the controlled characteristic of the power signal, and generates a comparison signal based on the sensed value and the reference value of the controlled characteristic. A regulation signal is generated based on the comparison signal, and used to regulate the regulated characteristic of the power signal.

Abstract: A sensor-less detection circuit includes a first voltage adjustment circuit providing a first output voltage at a first node using one of three input voltages. A second voltage adjustment circuit provides a second output voltage at a second node using all three, or only two, of the three input voltages. The second voltage adjustment circuit acts as an internal virtual neutral point for detecting a zero crossing event of the motor. A differential amplifier is coupled with the first and second nodes and outputs a third output voltage at a third node. A reference buffer has a reference voltage input and provides a fourth output voltage at a fourth node. A comparator is coupled with the third and fourth nodes and outputs a fifth output voltage at a fifth node, the fifth voltage indicating a zero cross event.

Abstract: A load coupled to a linear voltage regulator may create a load transient so that an output of the voltage regulator is temporarily raised to an elevated level above a regulated level. Without compensation, the linear voltage regulator may respond by turning a pass transistor completely OFF thereby losing regulation and allowing a compensation capacitor to become charged in a polarization opposite to one required for regulation. If a subsequent load transient (i.e., back-to-back load transient) is generated while the linear voltage regulator is in this condition, a large spike in the output may occur as the voltage regulator recharges the pass transistor turns back ON and as the compensation capacitor recharges. Disclosed herein is a linear voltage regulator with transient compensation circuitry to prevent the scenario described above and reduce the spike in the output.

Abstract: A data analytics system configured to perform operations is disclosed. The operations can include creating, in response to instructions received from a user, a first pipeline. This pipeline can be configured to extract data from an append-only first data store, extract identifying characteristics from the extracted data, provide the identifying characteristics to an identity service, and receive a tenancy identifier from the identity service. The pipeline can further be configured to create a data object in a second data store using the extracted data; create a tenancy object in a metadata store, the tenancy object associated with the data object, the metadata store implementing a hierarchical data object ownership graph; and associate the tenancy object with a parent object in the hierarchical data object ownership graph. The data analytics system can then tear down the first pipeline.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing network devices include performing clustering operations for network devices based on attributes of the network devices. By comparing the results of subsequent clustering operations, changes in network device attributes can be readily identified and any network devices for which attributes have changed may be subject to further investigation or remedial action (e.g., blocking traffic to/from the network device). Clustering may also be used to conduct an inventory of network devices by identifying groups of network devices that have similar attributes.

In particular, this relates to displaying a message that arbitrarily may be in a different format than a requested video, with the first message programmed to appear before or after the requested video in substantially the same area of the user's display screen where the requested video will appear or has appeared. The message and the requested video are sequenced without any need to match formats or players used.

Abstract: An image sensor with uniform, well-controlled air gaps is provided. A structure that is at least partially filled with organic material may be formed on the image sensor. A hybrid organic/inorganic film layer may be formed over the organic material. The image sensor may then be exposed to energy, which causes the organic material to sublimate through the hybrid film layer, which itself may become a gas permeable layer when exposed to energy. After sublimation, the regions where the organic material was previously filled become air gaps with a low index of refraction. Air gaps formed in this way can be configured over photodiodes as light guides or focusing structures, as concave/convex microlenses, in between photodiodes as isolation structures, in between color filter elements to reduce crosstalk, and/or over microlenses to enhancing focusing power.

Abstract: An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system.
