Abstract: A system and method for automatically providing artifact warnings in Pulsed-Wave (PW) Doppler imaging is provided. The method includes acquiring, by an ultrasound system at a pulse repetition frequency (PRF), Pulsed-Wave (PW) Doppler signals from a selected gate position in a high PRF mode. The method includes determining, by a processor of the ultrasound system based on the PRF, a position of a virtual gate along a PW line in a B-mode image. The method includes presenting, at a display, the virtual gate at the determined position along the PW line in the B-mode image. The method includes analyzing, by the processor, B-mode image intensity values at the virtual gate in the B-mode image to determine whether the B-mode image intensity values exceed an intensity threshold. The method includes providing, by the at least one processor, a virtual gate warning when the B-mode image intensity values exceed the intensity threshold.

Abstract: In a presentation document, changes to an element in a first slide of the presentation may be propagated throughout the presentation. A first slide may be displayed, in a user interface, with a first option to edit an element of the first slide. A selection of the first option may cause an edit to the first element. A second option may be displayed if the first element has a dependent relationship with a master element of the presentation. Upon selection of the second option, the master element may be updated based on the edit to the element of the first slide. The edit may be propagated to other elements of the presentation that have the dependent relationship with the master element.

Abstract: An antenna system includes a substrate of a dielectric material. A conductive feed joins a number of conductive patches arranged in a line forming an array. The conductive patches are spaced from one another and the array is disposed on the substrate. The array has first and second sides. A first ground plane is disposed on the first side of the array and is spaced apart from the array. A number of conducting pillars ground the substrate to the first ground plane, and the conducting pillars define a second ground plane on the substrate. The array is configured to radiate a radiation pattern characterized by a first beam width in a first plane and a second beam width in a second plane perpendicular to the first plane, wherein the first beam width is wider than the second beam width.
Abstract: A method includes mounting a hollow cylinder on a turntable, positioning an additive-manufacturing deposition tool at a surface of the hollow cylinder, and rotating the hollow cylinder on the turntable while depositing material on the hollow cylinder with the deposition tool. Further, a method includes making an opening in a wall of the hollow cylinder, forming a part to fit in the opening, and welding the part to the hollow cylinder such that the part fills the opening. The hollow cylinder has an inner radius and an outer radius, and the part is formed with an inner radius of curvature and an outer radius of curvature substantially similar to the inner radius and outer radius, respectively, of the hollow cylinder when the part is positioned in the opening.

Abstract: An optic for a light emitting diode array comprises an arrangement of optical structures for providing one or more down lighting distribution from the LED array; and a waveguide edge for providing one or more up-lighting distributions from the LED array. Luminaires are described comprising a light emitting diode (LED) array and the optic. Lighting systems are described comprising a plurality of the luminaires arranged over an area enclosed by walls.
Abstract: A user device may capture an image including an object, and may identify the object, including determining an outline of the object. The user device may determine a first center point of the object and an angle of orientation of the object in relation to the image. The user device may rotate the image based on the angle of orientation, including changing one or more dimensions of the image. The user device may, after rotating the image, determine the one or more dimensions of the rotated image, calculate one or more offset values associated with changing the one or more dimensions of the rotated image, and determine a second center point of the object based on the first center point and the one or more offset values. The user device may perform an action related to the rotated image based on determining the second center point of the object.

Abstract: Natural language image search is described, for example, whereby natural language queries may be used to retrieve images from a store of images automatically tagged with image tags being concepts of an ontology (which may comprise a hierarchy of concepts). In various examples, a natural language query is mapped to one or more of a plurality of image tags, and the mapped query is used for retrieval. In various examples, the query is mapped by computing one or more distance measures between the query and the image tags, the distance measures being computed with respect to the ontology and/or with respect to a semantic space of words computed from a natural language corpus. In examples, the image tags may be associated with bounding boxes of objects depicted in the images, and a user may navigate the store of images by selecting a bounding box and/or an image.

Abstract: A method includes driving a first transistor to conduct a first current into an inductor when conductive and driving a second transistor to conduct a second current into the inductor when conductive. A first sense current is generated in response to the first current and a copy of the second current. A second sense current is generated in response to the second current and a copy of the first current. The first sense current is adjusted in response to the copy of the second current when the first transistor is nonconductive. The second sense current is adjusted in response to the copy of the first current when the second transistor is nonconductive. On times of the first and second transistors are controlled in response to a sum of the first and second sense currents.

Abstract: Described is a system for creating an intelligent testing queue for improved quality assurance (QA) testing of services (or microservices). The system may perform a graphical analysis of interactions between services to derive testing constraints. For example, the system may monitor services to identify interactions (e.g. API accesses) between the services, and store the interactions as a directed graph representation. The system may traverse the directed graph (e.g. via a breadth-first search) to determine service dependencies. Based on the probability of failure for the testing operations and the service dependencies, the system create a specialized testing queue. By performing testing operations according to the specialized queue, the system may improve certain metrics associated with QA processes such as mean time to failure (MTTF) and mean time to diagnose (MTTD).
