  • Patent number: 11269590
Abstract: In an example, a computing system receives an instruction to initiate audio presentation of electronic communications for a recipient. Responsive to the instruction, the computing system audibly outputs each unreviewed electronic communication in a most-recent conversation thread including a most-recent set of unreviewed, reply-linked electronic communications for the recipient. Each unreviewed electronic communication in the most-recent conversation thread may be audibly output in a chronological-sequential order beginning with an oldest unreviewed electronic communication and continuing to a most-recent unreviewed electronic communication. • Patent number: 11268676
Abstract: A light-emitting device assembly includes a concave optical collector, a light-emitting device, and a light-escape surface. The collector redirects incident light by reflection, scattering, or reradiation. The light-emitting device emits device output light to propagate within the optical collector. The light-escape surface extends across an open end of the collector and exhibits (i) incidence-angle-dependent transmission of light that decreases with increasing incidence angle, or (ii) transmissive redirection of light to propagate at an angle less than a corresponding refracted angle, that are imparted by an array of nano-antennae, a partial photonic bandgap structure, a photonic crystal, an array of meta-atoms or meta-molecules, or a multi-layer dielectric thin film.

  • Patent number: 11267608
Abstract: A box closure device having a first piece, a second piece, and a hub separating the first piece and second piece is provided. The first piece can have one or more engagement portions. The second piece can extend in both directions relative to the hub and is spaced from the first piece a selected amount allowing for box flaps to fit between the first piece and second piece. The second piece can have a blade to assist in positioning the closure device between the interior ends of two flaps. The second piece can also have a glide. In use, the user or a machine can engage the engagement portion(s) and twist the closure device so that the bottom piece is no longer aligned with a gap between the flaps thereby locking the flaps in a closed position. Sleeves and a tamper evident device can optionally be used.

  • Patent number: 11270689
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle includes a microphone sensing sounds in the interior of the vehicle. The output of the interior microphone is processed according to an unsupervised machine learning model such that anomalies are indicated by the model. In response to detection of an anomaly, a remote dispatcher is notified, who may then dismiss the anomaly or transmit an instruction to the vehicle to alter its trajectory. The output of an exterior microphone and infotainment system may be removed from the output of the interior microphone prior to processing. An anomaly may be found to occur in response to detecting speaking of a keyword in the output of the interior microphone.

  • Patent number: 11272374
Abstract: During operation, the radio node may identify a second portion of a shared-license-access (SLA) band of frequencies with an improved communication-performance metric relative to a first portion of the SLA band of frequencies, which is currently approved and authorized for use. In response, the radio may provide a grant request to the computer for the second portion of the SLA band of frequencies, and may receive a grant response from the computer with an approval for a grant to the second portion of the SLA band of frequencies. Then, the radio node may provide a heartbeat request to the computer requesting authorization to use the second portion of the SLA band of frequencies, and may receive a heartbeat response from the computer with the authorization. Next, the radio node may provide a relinquishment request to the computer for the first portion of the SLA band of frequencies.
