Abstract: There is provided a formatting module configured to format spaces in an electronic character sequence. The formatting module supports at least one language and comprises a language identifier configured to identify whether the electronic character sequence is written in a supported language, and a character identifier configured to identify a particular character or a particular sequence of characters in the electronic character sequence. The formatting module is configured to format spaces in the electronic character sequence on the basis of the language identified and the particular character identified or the particular sequence of characters identified, when a supported language is identified. A system and method for formatting text are also provided.

Abstract: A fusion cage may include an upper endplate directly hinged to a lower endplate. The fusion cage may be adjustable to provide various angles between the endplates. An insert may be coupled between the endplates to lock the endplates at a selected angle. Fasteners may extend through the fusion cage into adjacent bone portions. An instrument may couple to an endplate so that the hinged-together endplates may be inserted between bone portions. The instrument may be used to adjust the angle between the endplates and to couple the insert between the endplates.

Abstract: An enhanced LBT procedure (200) mitigates unnecessary delays in delivering transmissions between User Equipment and base stations over unlicensed spectrum. A UE or base station selects a particular CAPC corresponding to an intended transmission (225) based on an intelligent mapping of different types of transmission payload (e.g., transmission payload other than or in in addition to pre-defined, QoS-related UP message data payload) to different CAPCs. Abstract: Malicious homoglyphic domain name (MHDN) detection and associated cyber security applications are described. A domain name may be received that may be a potential MHDN. Homoglyphic domain name detection may be performed by, for example, generating a normalized character string corresponding to the input domain name by applying one or more normalization operations to the input domain name, wherein the one or more normalization operations may be configured to reduce homoglyphic characteristics in the input domain name; and generating a plurality of segmentations of the normalized character string, wherein generating each segmentation, of the plurality of segmentations, may comprise segmenting the normalized character string into a respective plurality of segments, and wherein each segmentation may comprise a different plurality of segments. A segmentation may be selected based on cost values corresponding to each respective segmentation determined using a cost function.

Abstract: Among other things, we describe techniques for implementing a vehicle response to sensor failure. In general, one innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods that include receiving information from a plurality of sensors coupled to a vehicle, determining that a level of confidence of the received information from at least one sensor of a first subset of sensors of the plurality of sensors is less than a first threshold, comparing a number of sensors in the first subset of sensors to a second threshold, and adjusting the driving capability of the vehicle to rely on information received from a second subset of sensors of the plurality of sensors, wherein the second subset of sensors excludes the at least one sensor of the first subset of sensors.

Abstract: Rack-type backlight light emitting element (LEE) printed circuit boards (PCBs) with at least two layers to provide redundant current paths. This enables a PCB strip to be broken at designated perforations in the field in order to accommodate pipes or fixtures that require formation of a gap in the rack array. The entire length and width of an array can be sized in the field. A plurality of PCB arrays can be serially chained together with the system. A chain of PCB strips is snapped into clips, which in turn snap into rails that are fastened to a surface. The mounting system includes various types of clips, such as end clips, clips for different LEE patterns on the PCBs, and mounting clips to secure the rails to a surface.

The method also includes predicting an end of utterance (EOU) token at an end of each utterance. The method also includes classifying each acoustic frame as either speech, initial silence, intermediate silence, or final silence.
Abstract: An electrically powered portable self-contained climate controlled storage unit is provided to connect to and automatically share power with an external power source. The storage unit includes a rechargeable battery system and a controller to determine whether to direct power flow to or from the rechargeable battery system. Abstract: A multi-layer cap shingle for installation along a ridge, hip, or rake of a roof includes a forward exposure area and a rear headlap area. The multi-layer cap shingle includes at least two layers of shingle material, a top layer and a bottom layer each having opposed edges. The layers are bonded together with patches of lamination adhesive adjacent their opposed edges. The bottom layer is configured with a deformation-absorbing mechanism such as a pair of slots extending from a forward edge rearwardly inboard of the lamination adhesive patches. When the multi-layer cap shingle is bent over a roof ridge, the slots of the bottom layer of shingle material narrow in width to account for the fact that the bottom layer must bend around an arc of slightly smaller radius than the top layer of shingle material.
