  • Patent number: 11205013
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for a computing system that allows users to control the disclosure of their identities during communication sessions. Users can control the disclosure of their identities with respect to certain types of shared content. In one mode of operation, a user can share content anonymously. In another mode of operation, identity may be revealed when certain conditions are met or revealed to only certain other users. For example, the identity of a user who shared a comment anonymously may be revealed if multiple other users agree with that comment. In another mode of operation, the user's identity is revealed to all other users such as in a live video stream. The computing system can control display of users' identities based on user instructions or based on triggering conditions. A user interface (UI) can show content items that identify a user together with content items that are shared anonymously.

  • Patent number: 11202464
Abstract: Systems, techniques and methods for estimating the metabolic state or flux, e.g., the body energy state (“BES”) of a patient, are disclosed. The BES provides deep insight into the nutritional needs of the patient, thus allowing for a sort of exquisite glycemic control with regard to the patient. The invention discloses systems and methods for estimating fractional gluconeogenesis, which is the % of glucose production that comes from gluconeogenesis (“GNG”), as opposed to glycogenolysis (“GLY”), the other form of glucose production. Nutritional formulations, materials, cocktails and methods for feeding patients by parenteral and other means are disclosed. The amount, type and rate of such nutritional feeding are typically based upon the above estimating. The invention discloses formulations that contain labels, such as deuterium, for medical diagnostics, such as for estimating BES and fractional gluconeogenesis.

  • Patent number: 11204847
Abstract: Technologies for monitoring performance of a machine learning model include receiving, by an unsupervised anomaly detection function, digital time series data for a feature metric; where the feature metric is computed for a feature that is extracted from an online system over a time interval; where the machine learning model is to produce model output that relates to one or more users' use of the online system; using the unsupervised anomaly detection function, detecting anomalies in the digital time series data; labeling a subset of the detected anomalies in response to a deviation of a time-series prediction model from a predicted baseline model exceeding a predicted deviation criterion; creating digital output that identifies the feature as associated with the labeled subset of the detected anomalies; causing, in response to the digital output, a modification of the machine learning model.

  • Patent number: 11205215
Abstract: Systems, methods, and processor-readable storage media for processing merchandise shipping are provided to ensure that a supplier fulfills a purchase order in a manner that will keep a supply chain filled with the product based on a demand. For example, when a purchase order is generated, a timer can be activated. Within a predetermined period, the supplier can confirm fulfilment of purchase order through an online platform. Based on this confirmation and historical data collected for the supplier, a shipping location and other shipping parameters can be predicted by the online platform. If the timer is expired and no supplier's confirmation is received or if the supplier denies confirming the fulfilment of purchase order, a default operation is initiated. The default operation may cause canceling of purchase order or communicating to the supplier to resolve any issues.

  • Patent number: 11202997
Abstract: A dilution device may include a first component and a second component. The first component may define a groove including an inlet portion and an outlet portion. The second component may define an inlet in fluid communication with the inlet portion of the first component and an outlet in fluid communication with the outlet portion of the first component. Relative rotation between the first component and the second component may cause relative movement between the outlet and the outlet portion that changes the effective length of the groove fluidly coupling the inlet and the outlet of the second component. The cross-sectional area of the groove may vary along a length of the groove to provide different flow characteristics depending on the effective length of the groove.

  • Patent number: 11203865
Abstract: Beam segments made of a somewhat compressible material may be arranged with the top surface of each beam segment substantially in contact with the bottom surface of a next beam segment between a first beam segment and a last beam segment. A plurality of bolt bores extends between the top and bottom surfaces of each of the beam segments in substantial alignment through each of the beam segments. The bolt bores are spaced apart to receive corresponding bolt segments and tightening fasteners compressed between the first beam segment and the last beam segment. The beam segments may be compressed to form a combined beam structure that forms a building structure unit. The combined beam structure may be joined with other combined beam structures to form walls and floors for a building structure.

  • Patent number: 11206665
Abstract: A mesh network management resource receives connectivity status information indicating wireless connectivity amongst multiple wirelessly interconnected access points in a mesh network and multiple clients. Based on the received connectivity status information, the mesh network management resource allocates portions of wireless bandwidth in the mesh network to wirelessly communicate between a root access point in the mesh network and each of the multiple interconnected access points. The root access point transmits messages over the allocated portions of wireless bandwidth from the root access point through the multiple interconnected access points to the multiple clients. According to one configuration, the mesh network management resource allocates use of wireless bandwidth amongst the wirelessly interconnected access points in the mesh network based at least in part on class of service information assigned to different subscribers in the mesh network environment.

  • Patent number: 11204014
Abstract: A wave energy converter comprises a power generator, characterized by an axial length along a longitudinal axis; the power generator being configured to tilt about a horizontal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The tilt results in a conversion of kinetic energy, present in a group of water waves causing the tilt, to electrical energy. The axial length is less than approximately one quarter of the average wavelength expected to be encountered in a dominant sub-group of waves within the group of waves. The power generator generates power independent of whether or not the wave energy converter is tethered to any solid object at a position that is fixed independent of water motion.

  • Patent number: 11206100
Abstract: Provided is a radio communication device which can suppress inter-code interference between an ACK/NACK signal and a CQI signal which are code-multiplexed. A diffusion unit (214) diffuses the ACK/NACK signal inputted from a judgment unit (208) by using a ZC sequence. A diffusion unit (219) diffuses the CQI signal by using a cyclic shift ZC sequence. By using a Walsh sequence, a diffusion unit (216) further diffuses the ACK/NACK signal which has been diffused by using the ZC sequence. A control unit (209) controls the diffusion unit (214), the diffusion unit (216), and the diffusion unit (219) so that the minimum value of the difference between the CQI signals from a plurality of mobile stations and a cyclic shift amount of the ACK/NACK signal is not smaller than the minimum value of the difference between the cyclic shift amounts of the ACK/NACK signals from the plurality of mobile stations.
