Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for determining a target device for a voice command are provided. A voice command is detected at a plurality of devices. A weight is determined for the detected voice command at each device of the plurality of devices. The determined weight is exchanged among the plurality of devices. A highest weight among the exchanged weights is determined. The device associated with the highest weight is determined as the target device for the voice command.
Abstract: In some implementations, a method is provided. The method includes determining a path for an autonomous driving vehicle. The path is located within a first lane of an environment in which the autonomous driving vehicle is currently located. The method also includes obtaining sensor data. The sensor data indicates a set of speeds for a set of moving obstacles located in a second lane of the environment and wherein the second lane is adjacent to the first lane. The method further includes determining whether the set of speeds is lower than a threshold speed. The method further includes determining a new speed for the autonomous driving vehicle in response to determining that the set of speeds is lower than the threshold speed. The method further includes controlling the autonomous driving vehicle based on the path and the new speed.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for increasing engine power while reducing vehicle emissions and engine system degradation. In one example, a method may include, responsive to an engine load reaching a threshold load, increasing engine torque by increasing an amount of boost without providing exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and, responsive to the engine torque reaching a first threshold torque, increasing the engine torque by increasing an EGR rate over a plurality of engine cycles while further increasing the amount of boost. In this way, cooling effects from the EGR enable engine air flow, and thus engine power, to be increased while engine vibrations and heat-related exhaust component degradation are decreased.

Abstract: An exercise device is provided with a first element disposed at a first side and a second element disposed at a second side. The first element includes gripping features to prevent skidding or sliding of exercise device when first element is abutting a surface. The second element includes sliding features to facilitate sliding of exercise device when second element is abutting the surface. Thus, when an exercise practitioner desires to use the exercise device to prevent movement of a particular body part against the surface, the practitioner places the first element against the surface. Abstract: A system for purchasing performing operations in response to preauthorization and receiving geographic coordinates. The system includes, but is not limited to, a remote server, communicatively coupled to a third party system and a user database. The remote server is configured to query the user database to retrieve a unique identifier associated with the user and with prescription information for the user. The remote server includes a link in the unique identifier and transmits a message including the unique identifier to a local device associated with the user. The remote server receives instructions from the local device and obtains preauthorization from the third party system in response to the instructions. Furthermore, the remote server receives and tracks geographic coordinates of the local device. In response to preauthorization and tracking the geographic coordinates, initiate operations in preparation for arrival of the user.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for dynamically adjusting beamforming weights based on an azimuthal change request. A proposed azimuth change of an antenna is received, such as at a base station, where the proposed azimuth change is from remote azimuth steering of the antenna. Abstract: The method and apparatus for a remote weapon station or incorporated into manually-aimed weapons. The methodology requires use of a muzzle velocity sensor that refines the aiming of the second and subsequent fires or volleys fired from weapon systems. When firing the first volley a weapon uses an estimated velocity and, at firing, the muzzle velocity of a projectile is measured. When firing the second volley a weapon's fire control calculates an aiming point using the measured velocity of the first volley.
Abstract: A process enables growing thick stoichiometric crystalline and preferably IR-transparent optical PCMO material on Si and other substrates. Sputter deposition is carried out in oxygen-free inert gas (e.g., Ar) environment, which helps to prevent decomposition of the PCMO material over the substrate. In the disclosed process, there is no need to add a seed layer prior to PCMO deposition. Moreover, no post-deposition annealing is needed in a high-temperature and high-pressure oxygen furnace, but an anneal provides certain additional benefits in terms of improved transparency at IR wavelengths. Over a long deposition time for a thick PCMO film on the high temperature (?450° C.) substrates, the PCMO deposition is made repeated cycles of deposition of the PCMO material at the high temperature, each deposition cycle being followed by cooling the PCMO-deposited substrate to a substantially lower temperature (<50° C.).
