Abstract: An apparatus, such as an electrical device or a wall box, may have a mounting mechanism that may be configured to mount the apparatus to a wall in a manner that may facilitate secure fastening to the wall. The apparatus may comprise at least one mounting clamp that may have a fin and a drum that receives a mounting screw. The fin of the mounting clamp may be configured to be located within a pocket formed in the body. When a mounting screw is driven, the mounting clamp may rotate from the pocket into a position in which the drum of the mounting clamp may be received in a channel formed in the body. The drum may be configured to move through the channel as the mounting screw is further driven. The gap may be sized to retain the mounting clamp within the channel as the drum moves therethrough.

Abstract: A wireless device receives a radio resource control (RRC) message comprising an indication that the wireless device starts a time alignment timer of a cell group in response to the RRC message. When the RRC message comprises the indication, the time alignment timer of the cell group is started before receiving an initial medium access control (MAC) timing advance command (TAC) for the cell group and after receiving the RRC message.

Abstract: A remote node device including a hardware layer, a hardware abstraction layer, and a software stack operating on the hardware abstraction layer. The software stack including an open-source cloud-based operating system integrated with a service provider defined abstraction layer configured to coordinate functionality of the software stack, virtualized software components such as a virtualized Converged Cable Access Platform (vCCAP) implemented in docker containers where the vCCAP is configured to command and control the remote node device with respect to a customer premise equipment. The software layer of the remote node device includes different types of YANG data models for model-driven management and model-driven telemetry from the remote node device and a customer premise equipment to a service provider back-office system.

Abstract: Described herein is a disposable drug delivery device and system (e.g. a hormone replacement drug in the device), and methods for administering precise, metered doses of topical and transdermal drugs to a user's skin. The device comprises: an overcap; a dispensing cap with at least one hole; a barrel that holds the drug; a threaded spindle centered within the barrel, and connected to a platform that moves upward through the barrel to push the drug out of the hole(s); a bi-directional reset dial that is not connected to the platform, to mark the starting-stopping point; and a unidirectional dosing knob that is connected to the platform, with markings for sequential increments of drug dispensing (e.g. 0.1 ml-0.9 ml drug/actuation). Due to the reset dial, a user is not required to keep count of their dosing knob actuations to know when they have dispensed the entire dose.

Abstract: A rod-pump control device is disclosed. The rod-pump control device uses AMP (current) measurements for electric units, fuel or air usage for gas units, and can use pressure for either unit. The AMP/fuel/air sensors work as the primary trigger to indicate a pump-off condition on an oil and gas well. These sensors can be used as stand-alone triggers or in conjunction with other sensors to more accurately monitor pump efficiency. When the pump-controller starts to indicate an inefficient pump condition, it will turn the pump off by removing power from the electric motor. For gas powered units, the controller will remove power to disengage an electric clutch or send a signal to an engine controller to stop. An adjustable algorithm will use percentage change of off time, dependent on actual run time compared to a user definable target time to keep the pump operating at peak efficiency.

Abstract: Airflow from a blower fan can be adjusted between a cooling air mode where cooling air flows freely to the ambient surroundings and a noise mode where the airflow is partially or fully restricted in order to produce different levels of soothing background noise. The airflow from the fan can be split or divided between varying degrees and combinations of unrestricted airflow, partially restricted airflow and fully restricted airflow to produce a wide range of cooling airflows into the ambient with or without the production of additional background noise. A perforated drum surrounds the fan to form a chamber within which airflow can resonate at various frequencies and amplify noise levels selected by rotating the drum around the fan.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device that receives data from a machine-type communication (MTC) device located at a premises, determines an identifier for the MTC device; compares the identifier with a list of identifiers; and, responsive to determining that the MTC device is a listed device, transmits the data to a first network element remote from the premises. The device and the first network element do not receive data from devices at the premises generating human traffic communications (HTC). The first network element transmits the data to a second network element for aggregation and subsequent transmission to a cloud data facility comprising cloud storage. A data path from the device to the first network element, from the first network element to the second network element, and from the second network element to the cloud data facility forms a secure data path. Abstract: This disclosure relates to replication competent viral vectors for treating cell proliferative disorders. The disclosure further relates to the use of such replication competent viral vectors for delivery and expression of a heterologous nucleic acid in normal and diseased tissues and methods and compositions that facilitate such delivery and expression to tissues in vivo and in vitro. The disclosure further relates to replication competent retroviral vectors for these uses and in conjunction with methods and compositions that facilitate in vivo therapeutics.

There is another round of betting, before a turn and a river are also dealt. If the dealer's best of five hands exceeds a poker hand ranking of the player's, the player forfeits the wager. If the player's best of five hands exceeds the dealer's, the player receives an equal amount of units to the wager.

Applications place a small code segment within their communications protocol, thereby allowing network participants the full benefit of perfectly secure authenticated and encrypted message traffic without concern for third party key management. This is the world's first participant-managed, independent-trust secure messaging key distribution capability.

Abstract: A portable protective hood for use during medical procedures to avoid the spreading of aerosolized patient discharges. The protective hood includes an easy to assembly frame having a base plate formed with mounting sockets that can receive the remote ends of plastic ribs that will arch over the base plate. A transparent plastic bag has an elastomeric opening that enables the plastic bag to be placed over the upright ribs and extend down to the base plate. The base plate is shaped to incorporate curved sections that allow the movement of air from the atmosphere into the plastic bag, which is extracted through a connector on the plastic bag for attachment to a vacuum extraction device. The base plate and ribs are formed from a non-porous plastic material that permits cleaning between uses. The base plate and ribs can be placed into a storage configuration when not in operative use.

Abstract: A system and method for determining an absolute position of an object in an area is presented. The system includes a server having a processor, and a plurality of camera nodes coupled to the server. Each node includes a camera that acquires images of the object and area. The server receives image data from a camera, detects the object within an approximate location by image analysis techniques, and determines a relative position of the object in pixel coordinates. The processor then detects stationary markers proximate to the relative location of the object, determines an absolute position of the detected markers relative to known markers to define an absolute position of the marker, and determines an absolute location of the object in relation to the absolute location of the detected marker. This absolute position of the object is provided to an official to accurately locate the object in the area.

A method includes receiving a bitstream including at least one coded picture, inferring a value of a first identifier of a video parameter set, based on the first identifier of the video parameter set not being in the bitstream, and decoding the at least one coded picture based on the inferring.

Abstract: A process for deodorizing a rosin ester composition is disclosed. The process employs an adsorptive bed containing an adsorbent material. The adsorbent material comprises silica adsorbent having an average pore size between 50-200 ?, BET surface area of at least 300 mm2/g, pore volume of 1.20 to 3.00 cc/g, and a silanol [Si—OH] level of 0.5 to 5 unit/nm2. The deodorized rosin ester composition has an odor intensity reduction of at least 1 unit on odor intensity scale of Offensive Odor Control Act as compared to the rosin ester feedstock. In embodiment, the deodorizing treatment comprises using multi-staged adsorbent system with an adsorbent column having multiple layers of different adsorbent materials.

Abstract: Aqueous well treatment fluids especially suited for use in far field diversion in low viscosity carrier fluids comprise water, a friction reducer, and a diverter. The diverter comprises dissolvable particulates and proppants. The dissolvable particulates have a specific gravity of from about 0.9 to about 1.6 and a particle size of about 50 mesh or less. The proppants have a specific gravity of from about 0.9 to about 1.4 and a particle size of from about 20 to about 100 mesh. The dissolvable particulates have a higher specific gravity and a smaller particle size than the proppant.

Abstract: Various embodiments for a traction element used with athletic shoes having a stud body with a metal insert that extends axially from the stud body and methods for manufacturing such traction elements are disclosed.

Abstract: Traditionally, when a feature is updated or a new feature is released, the feature undergoes internal testing and validation before external distribution. However, some features may receive proportionately less internal usage than customer usage reflected externally. Low internal usage of features can lead to weak telemetry data, which can allow code regressions (e.g., bugs) to go undetected until the features are released to customers. Accordingly, accelerated internal feature usage is provided to mirror external customer usage. Highly used features are dynamically identified and, any deficiencies in internal feature usage are identified. Tenant sites estimated to generate at least a portion of the deficiency in feature usage are identified. These sites may be migrated or replicated to internal validation rings to generate additional internal feature usage.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, a method that determines at least one threshold for detecting signal interference in a first plurality of segments occurring in a first radio frequency spectrum of a first wireless communication system, detecting a pattern of recurrence over time of signal interference in a segment of the first plurality of resource blocks according to the at least one threshold, and performing one or more mitigation steps to mitigate the signal interference without filtering the signal interference where the one or more mitigation steps include at least one of transmitting signals out of phase from the signal interference, adjusting transmit power, increasing power in a resource block of a long term evolution communication session, performing beam steering, or changing time parameters for the resource block without changing to a new resource block.
