Patent number: 11175980Abstract: Read error mitigation in solid-state memory devices. A solid-state drive (SSD) includes a read error mitigation module that monitors one or more memory regions. In response to detecting uncorrectable read errors, memory regions of the memory device may be identified and preemptively retired. Example approaches include identifying a memory region as being suspect such that upon repeated read failures within the memory region, the memory region is retired. Moreover, memory regions may be compared to peer memory regions to determine when to retire a memory region. The read error mitigation module may trigger a test procedure on a memory region to detect the susceptibility of a memory region to read error failures. By detecting read error failures and retirement of a memory region, data loss and/or data recovery processes may be limited to improve drive performance and reliability.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY LLCInventors: Mehmet Emin Aklik, Antoine Khoueir, Darshana H. Patent number: 11176063Abstract: A system may include a plurality processing cores for processing I/O operations and at least one interconnect component for communicatively coupling one or more external components to the plurality of processing cores. The at least one interconnect component may be directly physically connected to each of the plurality of processing cores. The interconnect component may route I/O operations to one of the processing cores based on a memory range of the I/O operation. An I/O communication including an I/O operation may be received at the interconnect component. The memory address range of the I/O operation may be determined. A processing core corresponding to the determined memory address range of the I/O operation may be determined, for example, by accessing a data structure that maps address ranges to processing cores. Patent number: 11176754Abstract: Methods for rendering augmented reality (AR) content are presented. An a priori defined 3D albedo model of an object is leveraged to adjust AR content so that is appears as a natural part of a scene. Disclosed devices recognize a known object having a corresponding albedo model. The devices compare the observed object to the known albedo model to determine a content transformation referred to as an estimated shading (environmental shading) model. The transformation is then applied to the AR content to generate adjusted content, which is then rendered and presented for consumption by a user.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2020Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: Nant Holdings IP, LLCInventors: Matheen Siddiqui, Kamil Wnuk

Patent number: 11176703Abstract: A system uses a fleet of AVs to assess visibility of target objects. Each AV has a camera for capturing images of target objects. AVs provide the captured images, or visibility data derived from the captured images, to a remote system, which aggregates visibility data describing images captured across the fleet of AVs. The AVs also provide condition data describing conditions under which the images were captured, and the remote system aggregates the condition data. The remote system processes the aggregated visibility data and condition data to determine conditions under which a target object does not meet a visibility threshold.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2020Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: GM Cruise Holdings LLCInventors: Katherine Mary Stumpf, Andrew David Acosta

Patent number: 11178112Abstract: A proxy server intercepts a message, including a script, from a back-end component of an application, wherein the message is directed to a front-end component of the application executing on a client computing device. The proxy server identifies code in the script that can prompt a download event of a client-side generated content at the client computing device without having to communicate with the back-end component of the application. The proxy server modifies the identified code to cause the front-end component of the application to execute a custom code component for inspecting a download event prompted by the identified code in place of executing the identified code, thereby generating a modified script which is passed to the client computing device. Additionally, the client computing device executes the custom code component configured to inspect the code to determine if the code will prompt the download event of the client-side generated content.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Guy Lewin, Lucy Goldberg, Yossi Haber
