  • Patent number: 11177933
Abstract: A method for side-channel attack mitigation in streaming encryption includes reading into a decryption process executing in memory of a computer, an input stream and extracting from the input stream both an encryption envelope and cipher text and extracting from the encryption envelope, a wrapped key. Then, decryption may be performed in constant time of the cipher text using one of two different keys, a first for authenticated decryption comprising the wrapped key, and a second for unauthenticated encryption comprising a dummy key, with no difference in timing of execution regardless of which of the two different keys are utilized during decryption of the cipher text.

  • Patent number: 11178594
Abstract: Methods and systems for routing data are disclosed. In one aspect, service management can be implemented on one or more computing devices located between at least one router and one or more nodes. The one or more computing devices can be a default gateway for a plurality of user devices. In another aspect, the disclosed methods and systems can use a tag in routing a data block (e.g., service data) via a predefined route. For example, a device can transmit a request for a tag to a network node for routing a data block via a predefined route. Upon receiving the request, the network node can allocate a tag and create an interface. The interface can be associated with the tag and communications between the network node and the device for routing the data block.

  • Patent number: 11174065
Abstract: A method of sealing reinforced packages. The method can comprise moving an open-ended package in a downstream direction on a package conveyor by engaging the open-ended package with a chain flight of the package conveyor moving in the downstream direction. The method further can comprise forming a bag with a closed end by engaging at least a seal portion of a tail section of an open-ended tube portion of the open-ended package between the chain flight of the package conveyor and a hot plate positioned adjacent the package conveyor. The chain flight can move with the tail section in the downstream direction relative to the hot plate, which can transfer thermal energy to the tail section to at least partially form a seal along the seal portion in the tail section to at least partially form the closed end of the bag.

  • Patent number: 11172850
Abstract: Device, system and method to monitor user breathing patterns utilizing posture and diaphragm (breathing) sensor signals. The user worn device comprises a housing attached to a retractable belt that is worn around the user's trunk. The housing contains both posture and breathing sensors. The device monitors the output signals of these sensors and measures the state of both the user's posture and diaphragm (e.g. changes in the belt's length or force on the belt as a function of user breathing) to analyze breathing signals. The system's processor receives, processes, and transmits sensor signal data, and can also calibrate and interpret these signals utilizing various algorithms. In a preferred embodiment, the posture sensor is an accelerometer, and the retractable belt winds around a spring tensioned spool in the device's housing. The software can produce posture adjusted user respiration data, and can also be used for breath training and other purposes.

  • Patent number: 11178046
Abstract: Systems and methods of routing are provided. In the system, one or more processors determine that a packet is to be transmitted to a destination. In one or more aspects of the system, the one or more processors select a next port to be used for transmitting the packet by selecting a set of ports among a plurality of ports based on a static weight configuration associated with each port. The next port may be selected from the set of ports based on a number of hops required to reach the destination from each port and based on an estimated latency from each port to the destination. The one or more processors may then route the packet through the selected next port.

  • Patent number: 11175107
Abstract: An electronic magazine loader for loading cartridges into a magazine includes a lifting wheel, a chute, and a magazine loading portion. The wheel receives an unordered batch of cartridges and singularly lifts and deposits the cartridges into the chute. The chute transfers the cartridges to the magazine loading portion where a setting mechanism inserts the cartridges into the magazine. A mechanism for directionally orienting the cartridges orients all cartridges to a proper directional orientation before reaching the magazine loading portion. The mechanism can be lifting wheel shelf structure or chute structure. The chute having a C-shaped portion above the magazine loading portion that precludes the cartridges from changing their proper directional orientation. The setting mechanism receives cartridges on a rotating wheel with rotating insertion lobes and cartridge receiving voids between adjacent lobes. The cartridges drop into a cartridge receiving void, and are urged into the magazine by a rotating lobe.

  • Patent number: 11178079
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for improving the speed and rendering quality of an image (e.g., a JPEG), particularly in an end-to-end encrypted environment. The image may be analyzed on the sending-client side and the image data may be broken into a thumbnail and a full-quality image, where the full-quality image data relies on the thumbnail data to render a high-quality image. The image is uploaded to a blob store, and a message is sent to the receiving client with image information. At the recipient side, the JPEG image data is retrieved from the blob store and the thumbnail is first rendered. Subsequently, as the remainder of the image data is received at the receiving client, the image is updated. Consequently, images are rendered faster, and the thumbnail can be automatically downloaded so that a user can determine if they wish to download the full image.

  • Patent number: 11173652
Abstract: The present invention is a method for rehabilitating, repairing, and replacing manholes and connected sewer lines. In some embodiments, a compressed liner is inserted through the manhole access hole or the connected sewer lines. Prior to insertion, the liner may be cut and/or folded to be compressed to a size that can fit through the manhole opening or the sewer lines. Once inserted in the manhole or sewer lines, the liner should be expanded, and if necessary, bonded together with a resin along the separation line. Next, a bonding material may be injected between the liner and a surface of the manhole or sewer line to seal any cracks or fissures in the brick or concrete wall and to seal the liner against the existing manhole or sewer line to improve structural integrity and longevity. A new corbel may then be installed and bonded to the liner.
