  • Patent number: 11165593
Abstract: A method includes receiving a first message from a device via a network. The method includes determining a device type of the device. In response to determining that the device type satisfies a criterion, sending a second message granting the device limited access to the network subject to a first restriction level that limits bandwidth usage by the device to a first consumption threshold and sending a network access request to a second device associated with an operator of the access point. The method includes receiving a response to the network access request from the second device. The method also includes, responsive to the response indicating to grant the device access to the network subject to a second restriction level, allowing the device access to the network subject to the second restriction level, where the second restriction level limits bandwidth usage by the device to a second consumption threshold that is greater than the first consumption threshold.

  • Patent number: 11162798
Abstract: The present technology provides a system that can update aspects of an authoritative map portion stored on an autonomous vehicle using low-resolution data from the at least one sensor of the autonomous vehicle, and therefore avoids the need for dispatching the special purpose mapping vehicle for these updates. The captured low-resolution data can be compared with the high-resolution map portion to determine that the sensor data reflects a feature in a way that is inconsistent with how that feature is represented in the authoritative map portion. The sensor data can then be used to relabel the authoritative map portion.

  • Patent number: 11163925
Abstract: A simulator models an energy and power system. The simulator allows a user to manipulate digital representations of nodes, which represent one or more components of power and energy assets. The simulator also allows a user to manipulate digital representations of edges, which connect the nodes, to form a power and energy network. A plurality of object classes correspond to the nodes and edges. The object classes comprise class inheritance structures so that constraints of a parent class are retained by one or more child classes. The interface on the simulator allows a user to model a power and energy system by allowing the user to connect the nodes with edges to construct a power and energy system, wherein the object classes for the nodes, when executed by the simulator, implement one or more dynamical models to model the power and energy assets.

  • Patent number: 11164580
Abstract: Network source identification via audio signals is provided. A system receives data packets with an input audio signal from a client device. The system identifies a request. The system selects a digital component provided by a digital component provider device. The system identifies audio chimes stored in memory of the client device. The system matches, based on a policy, an identifier of the digital component provider device to a first audio chime stored in the memory of the client device. The system determines, based on a characteristic of the first audio chime, a configuration to combine the digital component with the first audio chime. The system generates an action data structure with the digital component, an indication of the first audio chime, and the configuration. The system transmits the action data structure to the client device to cause the client device to generate an output audio signal.

  • Patent number: 11162799
Abstract: A request for navigation directions for travelling from a source location to a destination location is received. Using data that was stored in a memory of a computing device prior to the request, first navigation directions for travelling from the source location to the destination location are generated, and a request for navigation directions for travelling from the source location to the destination location is transmitted to an online server. After second navigation directions for travelling from the source to the destination are received, it is determined whether a difference between the first navigation directions and the second navigation directions exceeds a threshold level. When the difference between the first navigation directions and the second directions route does not exceed the threshold level, the second navigation directions are merged into the first navigation directions.
