Patent number: 11151165Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for utilizing data flow analysis to perform data classification with respect to a source dataset and a generated derived dataset. A flow confidence for a field is calculated using an adaptive algorithm in accordance with the action performed and the derived dataset. An associated derived confidence for a particular tag is calculated in accordance with an associated confidence and the flow confidence. When the associated derived confidence is greater than or equal to a first threshold, the particular tag is copied to the derived dataset. In some embodiments, when the associated derived confidence is less than or equal to a second threshold, the particular tag is not copied to the derived dataset. Otherwise an action to be taken is identified. A response to the action is received and the adaptive algorithm is modified in accordance with the received response.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2018Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Saikat Guha, Guoyu Hao, Steven Peter Herbert, Boris Asipov

Patent number: 11153201Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide a system and methods for dynamic re-localization and manifest chunking in a content delivery network. In one implementation, one or more stimuli corresponding to a connection to deliver content from a content source over a network to a user device along a network path are detected. The one or more stimuli indicate a connection issue. An optimized network path through which to deliver the content to the user device is determined based on current network conditions. The optimized network path responds to the connection issue. The user device is dynamically rerouted to the optimized path while providing a substantially continuous delivery of content to the user device.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2018Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: Level 3 Communications, LLCInventors: Kevin Christopher Johns, Shane Amante

Patent number: 11152612Abstract: A novel hybrid lithium-ion anode material based on coaxially coated Si shells on vertically aligned carbon nanofiber (CNF) arrays. The unique cup-stacking graphitic microstructure makes the bare vertically aligned CNF array an effective Li+ intercalation medium. Highly reversible Li+ intercalation and extraction were observed at high power rates. More importantly, the highly conductive and mechanically stable CNF core optionally supports a coaxially coated amorphous Si shell which has much higher theoretical specific capacity by forming fully lithiated alloy. Addition of surface effect dominant sites in close proximity to the intercalation medium results in a hybrid device that includes advantages of both batteries and capacitors.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2020Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: CF TRAVERSE LLCInventor: Ronald A. Patent number: 11153598Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and an apparatus for video coding. The apparatus includes processing circuitry that decodes coding information of a current block (CB) from a coded video bitstream. The coding information indicates that the CB is coded with a subblock-based affine motion model including affine parameters that are based on multiple control point motion vectors (MVs) for the CB. The processing circuitry determines, based on the coding information, whether to select a subblock characteristic for generating a prediction for a sample in an affine subblock of the CB based on a corresponding subblock MV. In response to selecting the subblock characteristic, the processing circuitry determines the subblock characteristic based on at least one of the affine parameters. The subblock characteristic indicates one of: (i) a subblock size used for generating the prediction for the sample and (ii) an interpolation filter type for the affine subblock.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2020Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: TENCENT AMERICA LLCInventors: Guichun Li, Xiang Li, Xiaozhong Xu, Shan Liu

Patent number: 11150970Abstract: Techniques involve: in response to a number of errors of an error type in a storage disk increasing, determining an adjustment rate for a health value of the storage disk based on a total usage time length of the storage disk, where a longer total usage time length corresponds to a higher adjustment rate, and the health value indicates a health condition of the storage disk with respect to the error type. The techniques further involve increasing the adjustment rate based on a total input/output (I/O) number of the storage disk, where a greater total number of I/Os corresponds to a greater increment. The techniques further involve adjusting the health value with the adjustment rate. Such techniques can improve the accuracy of evaluating the health condition of the storage disk.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2019Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Chun Ma, Geng Han, Hongpo Gao, Jianbin Kang, Lifeng Yang
