Abstract: An instrument for isolating candidate eyelashes to attach prostheses includes an instrument tip which has a tip aperture. A candidate eyelash is disposed in a distal slot of the tip aperture. The instrument tip is advanced relative to the candidate eyelash and the instrument tip applies a force to eyelashes that are adjacent to the candidate eyelash. The application of the force actuates the eyelashes that are adjacent to the candidate eyelash away from the candidate eyelash. The candidate eyelash is actuated into an open area of the tip aperture and a prosthesis is attached to the candidate eyelash.

Abstract: A slider has a drum with alternating alpha and beta grooves, first stacked pulleys, and second stacked pulleys. First and second end pulleys are at opposite ends of the slider. A line wraps as a loop from the last beta groove, around the first end pulley, to the last alpha groove, back and forth around the first stacked pulleys, off the first alpha groove, around the second end pulley, to the first beta groove, back and forth around the second stacked pulleys, and back to the last beta groove. When the drum or the end pulleys are driven, the difference in circumferences of the grooves causes the slider to move toward one of the first or second end pulleys.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for accelerating autonomous vehicle testing. In particular, autonomous vehicle testing is accelerated by providing proactive waypoints. Systems and methods are provided for proactively seeking out times and locations in which an autonomous vehicle will most likely encounter on-road exposure of a particular set of variables. By increasing on-road exposure to a particular set of variables, an autonomous vehicle's response to the set of variables be more efficiently tested. According to various implementations, autonomous vehicles are automatically dispatched to routed to areas in which a test criteria frequently occurs, during particular times when the test criteria is likely to occur.

Abstract: Autonomous vehicles may utilize neural networks for image classification in order to navigate infrastructures and foreign environments, using context dependent transfer learning adaptation. Techniques include receiving a transferable output layer from the infrastructure, which is a model suitable for the infrastructure and the local environment. Sensor data from the autonomous vehicle may then be passed through the neural network and classified. The classified data can map to an output of the transferable output layer, allowing the autonomous vehicle to obtain particular outputs for particular context dependent inputs, without requiring further parameters within the neural network.
