  • Patent number: 11112103
Abstract: The present invention provides an assembly comprising a thermally conductive thermoplastic polymer as a heat sink to provide thermal management for an electrical/electronic component and a reaction injection molded (RIM) polyurethane to replace the potting compound typically used in such assemblies. In addition to replacing the potting compound, the cured polyurethane forms the part, such as the base of the LED bulb, which heretofore has been a separate component, thus reducing the number of components and saving a production step.

  • Patent number: 11115019
Abstract: Circuitry includes a pair of switches arranged in series, and a gate driver. The gate driver, responsive to a magnitude of current through one of the switches exceeding a threshold, discharges a gate of the one through a first resistor. The gate driver also, responsive to a voltage across a parasitic inductance of the switch becoming zero, discharges the gate through a second resistor but not the first resistor.

  • Patent number: 11114851
Abstract: A system is described that turns off a high power, power supply when a device no longer needs high power. A low power, power supply or a rechargeable battery provides power to determine when the device again needs high power. The low power supply consumes a minimum possible power when the device does not need high power and the power rechargeable battery is not charged. That is, the high power and low power, power supplies are turned on or off based on the real time power consumption need of the device and the charged state of the battery. The power need of the device is monitored by a current shunt monitoring circuit and a control signal monitoring circuit.

  • Patent number: 11112881
Abstract: Techniques for obfuscating user selections during user-input sessions in which potentially sensitive information is being identified, involving displaying several targets, such as keys of a virtual keyboard, on a display device, where each target corresponds to one of multiple options. While a current user target is associated with a visual indicator at a first time, a discriminatory signal indicating the visual indication displayed at the first time is for the current user target is provided, where the discriminatory signal includes one of a haptic signal generated by a device in physical contact with the user, an audio signal, and a modified image. Concurrently, the obfuscation system is configured to present another visual indication corresponding to a current distractor target. The current user target is thus obfuscated as two different visual indicators are presented and move through the group of options.

  • Patent number: 11113711
Abstract: A device may receive transaction information related to a transaction that an individual is completing. The transaction information may identify a location of the transaction and the individual that is completing the transaction. The device may determine, prior to completing the transaction and based on data from a sensor of a transaction terminal or from a user device associated with the individual, that the individual did not use a benefit account associated with the location in association with completing the transaction. The benefit account may be a rewards account, a loyalty account, or a discount account. The device may perform an action to facilitate use of the benefit account in association with completing the transaction. The action may be performed prior to completing the transaction. The device may perform another action to complete the transaction after performing the action to facilitate use of the benefit account.

  • Patent number: 11115196
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for secret sharing with a verifiable reconstruction type. An exemplary method comprises receiving a plurality of shares of a secret generated using a secret splitting scheme; reconstructing the secret if the plurality of shares satisfies a predefined reconstruction threshold; and generating a proof identifying at least one of the plurality of shares used in the reconstruction. The proof is optionally verified by a verifier and the verification is optionally based on auxiliary information derived by the secret splitting scheme used to share the secret. The verifier optionally implements layered access control, for example, based on a rank of the shares used for reconstruction. The reconstructed secret is optionally provided to the verifier. A user can be granted a level of access to a protected resource based on the proof, the reconstructed secret and one or more predefined policies. One or more steps can be proactivized to maintain share freshness.

  • Patent number: 11111759
Abstract: A ball valve assembly configured to be controlled remotely can be included in a system for fracking a well. Ball valve assemblies of the present disclosure can include a main body having a bore for transmitting fluid therethrough and a ball disposed within the main body and having a throughbore, the ball being hydraulically rotatable within the main body for rotation between an open state and a closed state of the ball. Such ball valve assemblies can include other components such as one or more wipers on and in contact with an external surface of the ball throughout rotational operations of the ball to minimize debris from interfering with the valve, and/or pressure equalizing valves to adjust fluid pressure above and below the ball of the assembly, for example. Further, the ball vale assembly can be adapted to operate more safely by including a directional lock plate.

  • Patent number: 11116028
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for establishing a multi-access data connection. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that communicates with one or more network functions in a mobile communication network. The processor receives a first session management request (via an AMF) containing: a second session management request sent by a UE, a first indication that the UE requests a single-access data connection and a second indication that the UE allows the network to upgrade the data connection. The processor determines whether to establish a multi-access data connection for the UE based on the second indication in the first session management request. The processor sends a request to the AMF to establish a data path for each access network with which the UE is registered in response to determining to establish the multi-access data connection.
