Abstract: Intelligent building control systems utilize sky information from a camera or cameras to facilitate control of building systems such as lighting, motorized window coverings, electrochromic glazings, HVAC systems, and so forth. Based on the sky information, interior lighting intensity and/or color temperature may be modified, for example in order to achieve a desired circadian effect for building occupants. In this manner, energy efficiency and occupant comfort and convenience are improved.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing climbing walls are discussed. While such systems and methods can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a climbing wall that has a base member and a climbing surface that includes at least one climbing hold. In some cases, the climbing surface is pivotally connected to the base member. Additionally, in some cases, the system includes an anchor that is configured to adjustably retain the climbing surface at an angle with respect to the base member. In some cases, the system further includes a camera, microphone, and/or display that are configured to allow a climber to have audio and/or visual interactions with another person in a remote location (e.g., for training, competition, etc.). In some cases, at least one climbing hold on the climbing surface comprises a sensor that is configured to indicate when a climber has used that hold. Other implementations are described.

Abstract: Particular embodiments are directed to a passthrough feature. A computing system may display a virtual-reality scene on a device worn by a user. The system may receive a request to display a visual representation of at least a portion of a physical environment surrounding the user. The system may access data associated with the physical environment captured by camera(s) of the device. The system may generate, based the data, depth measurements of one or more objects in the physical environment. The system may generate, based on the depth measurements, one or more models of the one or more objects in the physical environment. The system may render an image based on a viewpoint of the user and the one or more models and, based on the image, generate the visual representation requested by the user. The visual representation may then be displayed with the virtual-reality scene to the user.

The system interfaces with third party software and performs data collection, data analytics, factory controls, virtual modeling, and checklist creation, as well as many other manufacturing applications. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are also integrated into the platform to assist with root cause analysis and increasing production efficiency.
Abstract: A wireless device receives, from a non-terrestrial network (NTN) base station, access network information indicating an access network type of a plurality of access network types comprising: a geostationary earth orbit (GEO) access network type; and a low earth orbit (LEO) access network type. Based on the access network type, first non-access stratum (NAS) period among a plurality of NAS period are selected. The plurality of NAS periods comprise: a first value associated with the GEO access network type; and a second value associated with the LEO access network type. A NAS procedure is initiated by sending, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) via the NTN base station, a first NAS request message. A start of the first NAS period is based on the sending. The NAS procedure is aborted in response to an expiration of the first NAS period.
Abstract: Described is a system for providing an autonomous driving control mechanism in response to a driving obstruction. The system includes a framework for providing a decision process that may learn from surrounding vehicles and traffic flow to determine a suitable responsive action. The system may observe other vehicles and determine a trajectory for the vehicle to follow. The system may rely on a specialized blocking detection and decision components that may provide a set of instructions or rules in order to maneuver around the obstruction. In addition, the system may compare the maneuver with a detour and determine the most suitable route for the vehicle based on an analysis of several factors. Accordingly, the system may continue to provide safe and efficient autonomous control even when encountering a driving obstruction.

Abstract: Techniques for processing data may include: receiving a candidate data block; computing a distance using a distance function, wherein the distance denotes a measurement of similarity between the candidate data block and a target data block; and determining, using the distance, whether to perform data deduplication of the candidate data block with respect to the target data block to identify at least one sub-block of the candidate data block that is a duplicate of at least one sub-block of the target data block. The distance may be computed using a bit-wise logical exclusive-or operation of the contents of the candidate data block and the target data block. The distance may be computed using a bit-wise logical exclusive-or operation of digests computed for the candidate and target data blocks using a distance preserving hash function. The target and candidate block may be similar if the distance is less than a threshold.

Abstract: Program source code defined in a multi-threaded imperative programming language can be compiled into a circuit description for a synchronous digital circuit (“SDC”) that includes pipelines and queues. During compilation, data defining a debugging network for the SDC can be added to the circuit description. The circuit description can then be used to generate the SDC such as, for instance, on an FPGA. A CPU connected to the SDC can utilize the debugging network to query the pipelines for state information such as, for instance, data indicating that an input queue for a pipeline is empty, data indicating the state of an output queue, or data indicating if a wait condition for a pipeline has been satisfied. A profiling tool can execute on the CPU for use in debugging the SDC.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for curing and more specifically for cold smoking meat or seafood with a blend of filtered smoke from an organic smoking material such as softwoods such as pine or tropical palms such as coconut wood or such as mixed wood sawdust from a sawmill, that are not traditionally used for smoking seafood or meat due to the harsh flavor imparted by their smoke, and unfiltered smoke from a second organic smoking material such as hardwood smoke, or other pleasant flavor-imparting smoke. The blending of filtered smoke from a first organic smoking material such as coniferous softwood, tropical palm wood or mixed sawdust from a sawmill with unfiltered pleasant flavor-imparting smoke from the second organic smoking material reduces the cost of the smoking and curing process and allows versatility in application in terms of preservative properties and flavor imparted to the cured meat or seafood.
