Abstract: The invention relates to direct-fed microbials for use in E. coli inhibition in animals. More particularly, the invention relates to isolated Bacillus strains 101, 235, 77, 177, and 102 and strains having all of the identifying characteristics of these strains, for a use comprising the above-mentioned use. The invention can also be used for treatment of plants and in food processing.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of protecting a component using a deliberately created impedance mismatch between conductive impedance transition elements and an electric power line. The method comprises coupling a plurality of conductive impedance transition elements having a greater diameter than the power line at a position between an extended length of the power line and the component. The difference between the diameters of the conductive transition elements and the power line causes an intentional impedance mismatch between the two or more impedance transition elements with adjacent portions of the power line, and the mismatch causes high-frequency components of the transient electromagnetic signals induced on the power line by the transient electrical disturbance to be reflected by at least one of two or more impedance transition elements away from the protected component.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed a system to detect activation phrases within input audio signals transmitted over a low-bandwidth network. The system can use a two-stage activation phrase detection process. First a sensing device, which can include a plurality of microphones for detecting an input audio signal, can detect an input audio signal that includes a candidate activation phrase. Second, the sensing device can transmit the recordings of the input audio signal to a client device for confirmation that the input audio signal includes the activation phrase.

Abstract: Embodiments include devices and methods configured to fractionally resect skin and/or fat. Fractional resection is applied as a stand-alone procedure in anatomical areas that are off-limits to conventional plastic surgery due to the poor tradeoff between the visibility of the incisional scar and amount of enhancement obtained. Fractional resection is also applied as an adjunct to established plastic surgery procedures such as liposuction, and is employed to significantly reduce the length of incisions required for a particular application. The shortening of incisions has application in both the aesthetic and reconstructive realms of plastic surgery.

The adjustment of friction is proportional to a bending resistance of the glove digit.
