Abstract: A hardware product for creating a light ring and a dead front effect. The product may include a housing with an opening. The hardware product may also include a button positioned within the opening and configured to be depressed by a user. The button is constructed using a two-part molding process and includes a first shot and a second shot. The first shot is configured to disperse light around the perimeter shape of the opening. The second shot is constructed from an optically opaque or semi-opaque material. A single light-emitting component electrically coupled to the circuit board provides light for creating the light ring.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for probabilistic on-board diagnostics. In one example, a method may include calculating a probabilistic metric for a sample of a measured operating condition of a vehicle system component, averaging a plurality of probabilistic metrics including the probabilistic metric for a plurality of samples including the sample, and determining whether the vehicle system component is degraded based on the averaged plurality of probabilistic metrics. In this way, the functionality of a vehicle system component may be continuously monitored without regard for specific diagnostic entry conditions.

Abstract: Aspects and embodiments of the present invention generally include a device for patient self-administration of a prescribed medication. The total quantity of doses to be contained in the device, the quantity of prescribed medication comprising each individual dose, and the dosing schedule, collectively referred to as prescription parameters, are determined and controlled solely by a health care provider (HCP) such as the patient's physician. In accordance with a prescribed dosing schedule, the device makes available for administration the precise quantity of prescribed medication constituting an individual dose.

Abstract: An on-demand generator starting system and method is disclosed. The generator starting system is included as part of a standby or portable generator that includes one or more outlets that provide electrical power to an electrical device. The operating system includes a generator controller that monitors for a request for power from the electrical device connected to the outlet. When the control circuit of the generator controller determines that electric power is required from the generator, the control circuit initiates operation of the internal combustion engine. After the internal combustion engine starts, the control circuit operates a relay to provide power from the generator to the outlet of the generator. When the electrical device is no longer operating, the control circuit of the generator controller terminates operation of the internal combustion engine of the generator. In this manner, the generator operates only when the electrical device is requesting electrical power.

Abstract: A method for execution by a query processing system includes determining a first set of query rules for first data received from a first data provider and to determine a second set of query rules for second data received from a second data provider. A query received from a requesting entity is determined to involve at least one query function that accesses a subset of the first data. Compliance data is generated by determining whether the query complies with the first set of query rules. When the compliance data indicates the query complies with the first set of query rules, a query result is for the query based on execution of the query, and the query result is transmitted to the requesting entity. The query result is not transmitted to the requesting entity when the compliance data indicates the query does not comply with the first set of query rules.

Abstract: A headset includes two earcups that overlie and seal around the wearer's ears. The headset includes a system for suspension of the earcups on a helmet, as well as a speaker enclosure that provides increased structural strength without taking up additional space on the board. The headset also includes a battery compartment that can accept either one of two different size batteries to power the electrical components of the headset.

Abstract: A safety chain system that includes a drawbar hanger. The drawbar hanger includes a drawbar frame that defines a first aperture. A drawbar rests within the first aperture. A safety chain anchor also rests within the first aperture. The safety chain anchor defines a second aperture. The second aperture receives a safety chain. The safety chain anchor is able to slide in and out of the first aperture.

Abstract: A method for improving the effective signal-to-noise ratio (“SNR”) of an analog to digital converter (“ADC”) for active loudspeakers uses the two available channels of a stereo ADC to separately process the low- and high-frequency components of an audio signal. Because the power spectral density of music approximates a pink noise spectrum, the high-frequency component of the signal has peak levels low enough to avoid exceeding the maximum ADC input level. The audio signal is analog high-pass filtered and the resulting high-frequency signal component is sent directly to a first ADC channel without attenuation. The remaining low-frequency component is attenuated and sent to a second ADC channel. The digital signals are processed, converted back to analog, amplified, and reproduced by loudspeaker drivers. Noise and distortion at low frequencies is less audible than higher frequencies, so the improved SNR at higher frequencies yields a significant practical improvement in audio fidelity.

Abstract: An attraction system includes a fluid source configured to emit a fluid stream with a geometry that facilitates internal reflection, a transmitter configured to transmit a signal through the fluid stream such that the signal is enclosed in the fluid stream via internal reflection and the signal comprises a parameter, a sensor configured to receive the signal via the fluid stream and provide data indicative of the parameter, and a control system communicatively coupled to the sensor. The control system includes a processor and a memory, and the memory includes instructions that cause the processor to receive the data indicative of the parameter from the sensor, and operate the attraction system based on the parameter.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to a hydraulic door closer, and more specifically is directed to a hydraulic storm or screen door closer that has a fluid overflow chamber providing fluid volume and pressure control for both expanded and contracted fluid at different temperatures. The disclosed hydraulic door closer comprises a fluid overflow chamber adapted to hold sufficient fluid to maintain required operating fluid or oil levels at different temperatures, and to ensure proper closer performance under both extreme high and low temperature conditions.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for routing messages in a network. Gateways may be selectively chosen to forward messages from a user device to a network server. Gateways may forward messages based on forwarding priorities for the user device. The forwarding priorities may, for example, indicate a repeat count threshold for a quantity of times the gateway may receive a message from a particular user device before the gateway forwards the message.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for the generation of a message to be sent to an intended recipient of a request for a communication session prior the initiation of the communication session. The system may monitor applications and associated devices to determine the initiation of the communication session. Based on such a determination, the system may generate a message to be presented to a communication initiating user and to be sent to an intended recipient of the communication session. The system may determine data for the message based on an analysis of the data associated with the communication initiating user, and the system may apply a machine learning model to generate draft messages for the user. Messages may be generated to authenticate a user with an intended recipient of the communication session.
