Abstract: Cap arrangements for per-well fluidics and gas exchange for microplate, microtiter, and microarray technologies are presented for use with cell cultures or other applications. In example implementations, each individual well within in a conventional or specialized microplate can be fully or partially isolated with capping or other arrangements which can include conduits for controlled introduction, removal, and/or exchange of fluids and/or gases. Conduit networks can include small controllable valves that operate under software control, and micro-scale pumps can also be included. Conduit interconnections can include one or more of controllable-valve distribution buses, next-neighbor interconnections, and other active or passive interconnection topologies.

Abstract: The present invention provides a calculator comprising number keys for digits one through nine, a NULL key, a first additional number key configured to represent 3.663, and a second additional fixed value number key configured to represent 6.336. The number keys are operatively coupled to processor configure to execute mathematical functions. Abstract: Methods and systems for accurate and precise fuel supply control for continuous-flow of gaseous fuel to an internal combustion engine over a large dynamic power range, including a dual-stage valve that allows optimal control—a first stage in the form of a voice-coil driven electronic pressure regulator, and a second stage in the form of a voice-coil-driven choked-flow valve; monitoring the pressure of the fuel intermediate the two stages and making appropriate adjustments to the first stage via a pressure actuator loop; feeding the gaseous fuel mixture through a unitary block assembly into the second stage; monitoring the pressure of the air/fuel mixture and making appropriate adjustments to the second stage via a valve actuator control loop.

Abstract: A system and computer implemented method for cataloging database metadata using a probabilistic signature matching process are provided. The method includes receiving an input name to be matched to keys in a data corpus; dividing the received input name into a plurality of text segments; identifying a set of matching keys by matching each of the plurality text segments against keys in the data corpus; analyzing the set of matching keys to construct a tag; and cataloging the metadata with the matching key as the construct tag.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to a multi-drone automotive system that includes a first drone configured to carry one or more detachable drones. The first drone, which may be referred to as a carrier drone, may be mounted upon an automobile and operated in a tethered mode of flight. The detachable drones may be launched from the carrier drone to carry out untethered flight. The carrier drone and/or the detachable drones may be used for various applications. In one example application, the carrier drone may use a first camera that is mounted upon the carrier drone, to capture a first set of images during the tethered mode of flight. A detachable drone may be launched from the carrier drone in an untethered mode of flight in order to capture a second set of images by using a second camera mounted upon the detachable drone.

Abstract: Compressing a frame of video includes receiving a frame of a video, identifying a three dimensional (3D) object in the frame, matching the 3D object to a stored 3D object, compressing the frame of the video using a color prediction scheme based on the 3D object and the stored 3D object, and storing the compressed frame with metadata, the metadata identifying the 3D object, indicating a position of the 3D object in the frame of the video and indicating an orientation of the 3D object in the frame of the video.

Abstract: A server can receive a seed keyword to generate additional keywords relevant to the seed keyword. The server can identify, using a semantic relationship graph, keyword categories. Each keyword can have a semantic distance from the seed keyword less than a threshold. The server can generate, for each keyword of the keyword categories, a keyword-seed affinity score based on a frequency of the keyword occurring with the seed keyword on an information resource. The server can determine, for each keyword category, a category-seed affinity score based on the keyword-seed affinity scores for each of keyword in the keyword category. The server can compare each category-seed affinity score a threshold. The server can transmit, for display, the keywords. One keyword category can be indicated as selected and another keyword category can be indicated as unselected based on the comparison.

Further, each of the internal sidewalls includes a bracing surface. The engagement element includes a first pair of grooves and a second pair of grooves, wherein each further includes a primary cavity and a secondary cavity. The engagement element is laterally integrated into a specific sidewall to provide additional gripping action. The first pair of grooves and the second pair of grooves are positioned offset from each other, along the bracing surface of the specific sidewall. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. An apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry checks an inferable condition for a flag of a specific prediction mode for a current block before parsing the flag of the specific prediction mode for the current block from a coded video bitstream. The specific prediction mode is one of a plurality of inter picture prediction modes. When the inferable condition indicates that the flag is inferable, the processing circuitry infers the flag without parsing the flag from the coded video bitstream. When the inferable condition indicates uncertainty for inferring the flag, the processing circuitry parses the flag from the coded video bitstream. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs the current block according to the specific prediction mode when the flag is indicative of an application of the specific prediction mode on the current block.

In some examples, a method includes receiving a request for system status data for components of a distributed computing system while the distributed computing system is in operation. The request includes metadata specifying a data collection sequence for collecting component-level system status data. The components include compute components, network components, and storage components. The method includes obtaining, using the metadata, the component-level system status data by querying protocol-based data collectors in an order, one after the other, as specified by the data collection sequence specified by the metadata. The method includes assembling the component-level system status data into assembled status data and storing the assembled status data in memory and/or a repository.
