Abstract: A battery system and a method include an auxiliary power module configured to support auxiliary loads. A first contactor switch connected between first and second battery packs, and a second contactor switch is in series with the first contactor switch. A controller determines whether to open or close first and second contactor switches depending on whether the battery packs are being charged in a high voltage mode or a low voltage mode. The contactor switches are both closed when in the high voltage mode and at least one of the contactor switches is opened when in the low voltage mode. At least one of the first and second battery packs operate to power the auxiliary power module while charging at least one of the first and second battery packs regardless of whether the battery packs are in the high voltage mode or the low voltage mode.

Abstract: A method of implanting a graft onto a proximal humerus includes securing a first suture anchor to a first portion of the proximal humerus and securing a second suture anchor to a second portion of the proximal humerus. The first suture anchor includes a first suture and the second suture anchor includes a second suture. The graft is inserted over the proximal humerus. The method further includes positioning the graft relative to the proximal humerus such that a lateral portion of the graft is oriented over a greater tuberosity of the proximal humerus and a medial portion of the graft is oriented over the medial greater tuberosity. The graft is secured to the proximal humerus via the first suture member and the second suture member. The method may also include securing the graft anteriorly to the subscapularis and/or posteriorly to the infraspinatus.

The single chip sensor is positioned on the interlayer component such that a transmission from the single chip sensor passes through the third glass component and does not pass through the first glass component.

Abstract: A seat belt system for restraining an occupant of a vehicle. The system includes a webbing and a pretensioner. A cable connects the webbing to the pretensioner. The pretensioner includes a housing, a gas generator, and an outer cylinder connected to the housing. A gas generator provides gases into a pressure chamber in the outer cylinder to drive a piston, an inner cylinder and the cable in a pretensioning direction. A sealing ring is located between the outer cylinder and inner cylinder. The sealing ring is configured to provide a seal to prevent the gases provided by the gas generator from passing. A deflector shield is located between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder and closer to the pressure chamber than the sealing ring, wherein the deflector shield is configured to deflect the gases away from the sealing ring.

The apparatus may provide a fuel gauge circuit to detect imbalance in a battery pack with two series-connected battery cells and determine the amount of imbalance using only the positive and negative terminal of the battery pack.

Abstract: Transferring files directly from a storage system to a backup storage system includes determining identifiers for blocks on the storage system that correspond to files that are to be backed up, providing the identifiers for the blocks to the storage system, and the storage system pushing the blocks indicated by the identifiers directly from the storage system to the backup storage system. The identifiers may be logical block addresses. Determining the logical block addresses may vary according to a file system for files that are to be backed up. Determining the logical block address may include determining an inode value for each of the files that are to be backed up or may include determining a logical cluster number for each of the files that are to be backed up. The backup storage system may include a media server and a storage device.

Abstract: In a method for video decoding in a decoder, prediction information of a block is decoded in a current picture from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information includes a plurality of offset indices for prediction offsets associated with an affine model in an inter prediction mode. The plurality of offset indices includes at least one of a distance offset index, an offset direction index, a delta scaling index, and a delta rotation index. Further, parameters of the affine model are determined based on the plurality of offset indices. Each of the plurality of the offset indices including a respective pre-defined mapping table that includes indexes and corresponding offset values. The parameters of the affine model are used to transform between the block and a reference block in a reference picture that has been reconstructed. At least a sample of the block is reconstructed according to the affine model.
