Abstract: Template matching (TM) is performed on respective bi-prediction with coding unit (CU)-level weighting (BCW) candidate weights of a current block in a current picture by determining a respective TM cost corresponding to each of the respective BCW candidate weights and reordering the BCW candidate weights based on the respectively determined TM costs. each TM cost being determined based at least on a portion or all of a current template of the current block and a respective bi-predictor template, the bi-predictor template being based on the respective BCW candidate weight, a portion or all of a first reference template in a first reference picture, and a portion or all of a second reference template in a second reference picture, the first reference template and the second reference template corresponding to the current template. The current block is encoded in a bitstream based on the reordered BCW candidate weights.

Abstract: An agricultural baler includes a bale chamber having a discharge outlet and a bale ejection system configured to discharge bales from the bale chamber on the ground surface of the field. The bale ejection system includes a chute with a first half portion and a second half portion that receives a first bale and a second bale discharged simultaneously from the discharge outlet in the first half portion and the second half portion, respectively, and an ejection actuator that pushes the second bale from the second half portion of the chute to the first half portion of the chute.

Abstract: Systems, assemblies, modules, and methods for connecting components of medical devices employ connector cables with electrical conductors. A method of supplying electrical power to a medical device includes transmitting electrical power from a battery module to a base module through a connector cable. The connector cable includes a connector cable output connector removably coupled with an input connector of the base module. The connector cable output connector includes at least four connectors configured for transferring electrical power. Data is transmitted between the battery module and the base module through the connector cable. Electrical power is transmitted from the base module to the medical device.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for processing natural language user queries for commanding a user interface to perform functions. Individual user queries are classified in accordance with the types of functions and a plurality of user queries may be related to define a particular command. To assist with classification, a query type for each user query is determined where the query type is one of a functional query requesting a particular new command to perform a particular type of function, an entity query relating to an entity associated with the particular new command having the particular type of function and a clarification query responding to a clarification question posed to clarify a prior user query having the particular type of function. Functional queries may be processed using a plurality of natural language processing techniques and scores from each technique combined to determine which type of function is commanded.

Abstract: An apparatus for assembling a conductor assembly for a PEM fuel cell includes an application module for applying first and second stripes of an adhesive onto a rolled-out segment of GDL material, wherein the first and second stripes run along respective first and second longitudinal edges of the GDL material defining an applied segment. A cutting module cuts the applied segment to form one or more cut segments each having a respective primary surface on which respective portions of the stripes are carried. A laminating module laminates a subgasket between two cut segments, wherein the subgasket has a window bounded by a window periphery, and the two cut segments are oriented with their primary surfaces facing and covering the window with their respective portions of the first and second stripes being in contact with the window periphery.

The encoded bitstream is decodable by a video decoder receiving the encoded bitstream and determining whether a block-based mode for decoding a current picture of one resolution using a reference picture of a different resolution is enabled. When enabled, the decoder uses the mode to decode the first block and decodes the intra-coded second block without using the mode.

The camera may be configured to capture images of a geographical area that may be occluded from a driver field of view caused by presence of a vehicle vertical body-mounted pillar when the vehicle traverses a road curve. The vehicle may further include a processor configured to obtain a trigger signal and activate the camera responsive to obtaining the trigger signal. The processor may be further configured to obtain the images from the camera and determine a road obstruction presence in the geographical area based on the obtained images. The processor may output a visual alert notification or an audible alert notification responsive to determining the road obstruction presence.

At least one camera captures a first image of a first part of a region external to the vehicle and a second image of a second part of the region. Abstract: In some embodiments, a computing system may generate a prediction related to a new category (not included in a set of categories) using a machine learning model trained on a set of embeddings corresponding to the category set. As an example, the computing system may generate a set of hashes such that each hash of the hash set is mapped to an embedding of the embedding set. When a new category added to the category set, the computing system may generate a given hash for the new category and identify a first hash of the hash set that matches the given hash. Based on identifying the first hash as a matching hash, the computing system may use an existing embedding (e.g., mapped to the first hash) with the machine learning model in connection with the new category, thereby avoiding a need to add a new embedding to the embedding set.

Abstract: A composite material system having an aggregate bound by an elastomer encapsulant. The composite material (CM) is designed to defeat impinging projectiles by converting the kinetic energy (KE) in the projectile to damage in the aggregate and the elastomer and increasing the thermal energy in the CM and the projectile via frictional heating. In one embodiment, the CM comprises certain kinds of rocks encapsulated (or bound) in a hyper-elastic polymer, such as polyurethane (“PU”). The CM may be shaped into convenient shapes from modular assembly to create a ballistic resistant surface.
