Abstract: A body structure for an automotive vehicle includes an enclosure for a power source, an upper shear structure assembly and a lower shear structure assembly. The enclosure includes a front cross-member, a rear cross-member, a left rocker and a right rocker. The upper and lower shear structure assemblies are disposed across the top and bottom of the enclosure, respectively, and are fastened to respective top and bottom surfaces of the cross-members and rockers. The upper and lower shear structure assemblies may include respective front and rear generally trapezoidal sections configured for attachment to respective front and rear box structures. Each of the shear structure assemblies is effective to dissipate in-plane a portion of an external load imposed upon the enclosure.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for depicting information about a vehicle in augmented reality. An exemplary method may include determining identification information of a vehicle based on input received from a client device and obtaining, from an information source, vehicle information based on the identification information. The method may also include analyzing the vehicle information using an artificial intelligence engine and extracting vehicle history data from the vehicle information based on the analysis. The method may also include identifying a portion of the vehicle associated with the vehicle history data and providing instructions, based on the vehicle history data, to an augmented reality-enabled device to superimpose an indicator on a visual representation of the vehicle at a location corresponding to the portion of the vehicle.

Abstract: There is disclosed in one example an enrollment over secure transport (EST)-capable gateway device, including: a hardware platform including a processor and a memory; a first network interface to communicatively couple to an external network, including an external DNS server; a second network interface to communicatively couple to a home network; a caching DNS server including a local DNS cache, and logic to provide DNS services to the home network; and an EST proxy to authenticate to a local endpoint on the home network, provision a DNS server certificate on the local endpoint, provision an authentication domain name (ADN) on the local endpoint, and provide encrypted domain name system (DNS) services to the local endpoint.

Abstract: A medication adherence device may include a unibody and a station. The unibody may include: a unibody housing configured to be removably coupled to a medicine container; an inertial measurement unit configured to record motion data describing the movement of the unibody, and therefore describing the movement of a medicine container that the unibody is coupled to; and a unibody data interface in communication with the inertial measurement unit. The station may include: a station data interface configured to receive motion data from the unibody data interface; and a station processing unit in communication with the station data interface, the station processing unit configured to generate medication access information using the motion data. Preferably, data and power may be communicated between the unibody and station when the unibody is positioned proximate to the station, such as by being positioned in a station cavity.

Abstract: An aspect of performing flow control of IO in a synchronous replication session between a local storage and a remote storage of a storage system includes tracking an amount of time an input/output (IO) request is processed at the remote storage including an amount of time the IO request is in transmit to and from the remote storage system. The amount of time indicates a remote latency value. An aspect also includes tracking an amount of time the IO request is processed at the local storage and calculating a difference between the remote latency value and the amount of time the IO request is processed at the local storage. The difference indicates a local latency value. An aspect further includes modifying an amount of IO requests admitted at the storage system as a function of the local latency value.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for executing a software application in a virtual machine executing on a data processing device includes receiving software code for a software application, determining application programming interfaces referenced by the software code, determining portions of an operating system accessed by the software code and creating an application container in the virtual machine. The method also includes application programming interfaces referenced by the software code inside the application container, portions of the operating system accessed by the software code inside the application container and executing the software application inside the application container on the virtual machine.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video decoding. In some examples, an apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a current block from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of an intra block copy mode. Then, the processing circuitry determines, according to the intra block copy mode, a first portion of a resolution syntax. The resolution syntax is unified of a same semantic for block vectors in the intra block copy mode and motion vectors in an inter picture merge mode. Further, the processing circuitry decodes a second portion of the resolution syntax from the coded video bitstream, and determines a block vector according to a resolution that is indicated by a combination of the first portion and the second portion. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs at least one sample of the current block according the block vector.

Abstract: In a well in a subterranean formation, treatment fluids for time-released iron control are utilized. These treatment fluids contain a time-released form of a complexing agent, wherein the complexing agent forms an insoluble complex with iron. The time-released form prevents loss of the agent prior to delivery to the desired site and at the desired time(s). Methods for controlling iron in a well in a subterranean formation utilize these treatment fluids containing a time-released form of a complexing agent and these methods create insoluble complexes of the agent with the iron to control the iron from the formation and/or well.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems that enable autocalibration for multiple cameras using near-infrared (NIR) illuminators. The techniques and systems include a user device that uses NIR images, including dot images and flood images, captured by the multiple cameras. The user device implements an autocalibration module that normalizes the contrast of each image. Then, the autocalibration module detects dot features in the dot images and detects flood features in the flood images. The autocalibration module uses the flood features to disambiguate the dot features in the dot images. Then, the autocalibration module uses the disambiguated dot features to determine new calibration parameters for recalibration of the multiple cameras. In some aspects, the autocalibration module uses the dot images, rather than the flood images, to detect the flood features for disambiguating the dot features.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a pair of support members, a cable, a rolling mechanism, a tackling bag and a pulley device. The pair of support members are fixedly coupled to a surface. The cable is attached to and extends between the pair of support members. The rolling mechanism is connected to the cable and configured to traverse the cable from a first end of the cable toward a second end of the cable. The tackling bag is attached to the rolling mechanism and configured to be propelled from one of the pair of support members toward the other of the pair of support members. The pulley device is coupled to the rolling mechanism and attached to the tackling bag. The pulley device is separated from the cable when the tackling bag is propelled from the one of the pair of support members toward the other of the pair of support members.

Abstract: Systems and methods that enable blending and aggregating multiple related datasets to a blended data model (BDM), manipulation of the resulting data model, and the representation of multiple parameters in a single visualization. The BDM and each visualization can be iteratively manipulated, in real-time, using a user-directed question-answer-question response so patterns can be revealed that are not obvious.

Abstract: Techniques for feature-based deployment pipelines are disclosed. The feature-based deployment pipelines use a service file as well as other manifest files to set up a repository, a continuous integration service to initiate testing, and a container orchestration system to build images and establish version control over the system. The feature-based deployment pipelines invoke sequential stages to enable feature branches of an application to be fully tested before proceeding to a succeeding stage. At each stage, relevant stakeholders are able to evaluate the new features before they become part of the master image of the tested application. A variety of validation and performance tests are conducted at each stage, resulting in a fully vetted application available for a consumer.
