  • Patent number: 11073341
Abstract: A basket for an air preheater includes two metallic frames each having two corner pieces and two connector pieces. For each frame, one of the connector pieces is secured to one end of each of the corner pieces and another of the connector pieces is secured to an opposite end of each of the corner pieces thereby forming a rectangular opening in each frame. The basket includes two heavy gauge metallic sheets that are secured to the corner pieces, thereby spacing the frames equally apart from and parallel to one another thereby forming a channel between two of the sheets.

  • Patent number: 11076213
Abstract: A specialized audio/instrument cable with built-in digital signal processing capabilities that adds user-defined audio effects (such as reverb, delay, chorus and/or distortion) from within the cable itself to affect the sound generated from an instrument or microphone such that the cable is the only connection needed between the instrument or microphone and an output device (such as an amplifier, PA, powered speaker, music mixer, or a recording device). The audio effects used by the cable can be changed via (i) an app from a smartphone, tablet, computer or other electronic device; (ii) a wireless controller that attaches to the instrument; (iii) a pedal, and/or (iv) any other type of wireless controller that has the ability to communicate with a smartphone/tablet/computer or other electronic device.

  • Patent number: 11073700
Abstract: A display device includes a display having optically anisotropic molecules disposed between a front surface and a back surface. The display is configurable to either receive image light and diffuse the image light to output diffused image light from the front surface, or to transmit ambient light from the back surface to the front surface. The display device also includes an optical assembly that has a substrate, a reflector, and a beam splitter. The optical assembly is configurable to transmit a portion of the diffused image light at a first optical power via an optical path including reflections at the reflector and at the beam splitter and to transmit a portion of the ambient light output from the front surface of the display at a second optical power without reflection at the reflector. The second optical power is less than the first optical power.

  • Patent number: 11075850
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing routing of traffic between clients and resource instances when providing stateful services. For example, systems disclosed herein involve a load balancer that routes probe request(s) from clients to corresponding resource instances having access to stateful session data for a stateful session between the resource instance(s) and corresponding client(s). The resource instances may provide instance identifiers to the clients for use in generating subsequent session calls. In this way, systems described herein ensure that subsequent session calls are passed to the correct resource instances having access to relevant session information.

  • Patent number: 11076013
Abstract: A new semantic mashup architecture with modular design can comprise separate Semantic Mashup Profiles (SMPs), Virtual Semantic Mashup Resources (VSMRs), and Semantic Mashup Results (SMRSs). This kind of modular design greatly improves the reusability of SMPs, VSMRs, and SMRSs. In addition, this new mashup architecture leverages semantics during each mashup process, which increases the interoperability. Moreover, this new architecture essentially realizes new Semantic Mashup Service (SMS) at the service layer and consequently improves system efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11076158
Abstract: Disclosed herein includes a system, a method, and a device for reducing latency and jitter by reserving a transmission duration for a transmit opportunity. A device can compress a first slice of a plurality of slices of a video frame to obtain a size of the first slice after compression. The device can estimate a size of the video frame after compression, according to the size of the first slice after compression. The device can generate a request to send (RTS) to reserve, a transmission channel for a transmission duration corresponding to the size of the video frame after compression. The device can broadcast the RTS to one or more other devices.

  • Patent number: 11074364
Abstract: In order to handle the security issues with regards to maintaining privacy of the submitted confidential data, in an example embodiment, no single service is permitted to access both confidential data and member identity data. This design ensures that an attacker would have to compromise more than two services to be able to associate a member with their corresponding compensation data. Thus, member privacy would be preserved if there were any single point of breach. In an example embodiment, an approach is taken where it is still possible for a member to delete his or her confidential data information.

  • Patent number: 11076003
Abstract: There is disclosed in one example a data exchange layer (DXL) broker, including: a network interface to communicatively couple to a data exchange layer (DXL), the DXL including an enterprise service bus (ESB) configured to provide one-to-one device communications over a publish-subscribe fabric; hardware including at least a processor; and instructions encoded on one or more computer-readable mediums to instruct the processor to provide DXL broker software configured to: receive a DXL request message via the DXL, the request message directed to a DXL service; determine that the DXL service is available; and forward the request message to a DXL endpoint via the DXL.

  • Patent number: 11071398
Abstract: A convertible apparel rack functions as a multi-purpose rack that can display garments, shoes, or a combination of both, by changing out the hanger bars. Further, the rack can be changed from a single rack to a dual rack by removing or inserting uprights on a standard base. The apparel hanger bars are solid and of sufficient strength to allow dense packing of apparel without mechanical failure. The shoe hanger bars have a gap to allow shoes to be clipped on. Further, the convertible apparel rack can display a single rack of items or can be configured to display two racks of items.

  • Patent number: 11072375
Abstract: A control arm includes a wheel side end, a body side end, a first connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, a second connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, and having a reduced section portion, and a fracture zone extending through the first and second connecting members in a substantially fore-aft direction of the vehicle, the reduced section portion being within the fracture zone. A thickness of the reduced section portion is tunable to establish a controlled fracturing during a small overlap rigid barrier impact event where: (i) an initial fracture of the first connecting member occurs within the fracture zone, and (ii) a secondary fracture of the second connecting member occurs within the fracture zone at the reduced section portion, to thereby provide a desired rearward trajectory of the wheel assembly during the impact event.
