  • Patent number: 11076189
Abstract: Network content delivery apparatus and methods based on content compiled from various sources and particularly selected for a given user. In one embodiment, the network comprises a cable television network, and the content sources include DVR, broadcast, nPVR, and VOD. The user-targeted content is assembled into a playlist, and displayed as a continuous stream on a virtual channel particular to that user. User interfaces accessible through the virtual channel present various functional options, including the selection or exploration of content having similarity or prescribed relationships to other content, and the ability to order purchasable content. An improved electronic program guide is also disclosed which allows a user to start over, record, view, receive information on, “catch up”, and rate content. Apparatus for remote access and configuration of the playlist and virtual channel functions, as well as a business rules “engine” implementing operational or business goals, are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11074502
Abstract: A computer system uses a pool of predefined functions and pre-trained networks to accelerate the process of building a large neural network or building a combination of (i) an ensemble of other machine learning systems with (ii) a deep neural network. Copies of a predefined function node or network may be placed in multiple locations in a network being built. In building a neural network using a pool of predefined networks, the computer system only needs to decide the relative location of each copy of a predefined network or function. The location may be determined by (i) the connections to a predefined network from source nodes and (ii) the connections from a predefined network to nodes in an upper network. The computer system may perform an iterative process of selecting trial locations for connecting arcs and evaluating the connections to choose the best ones.

  • Patent number: 11074615
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for reducing communications between servers and a mobile device and providing enhanced security and privacy to wireless beacon services. This can involve a broadcast device transmitting a beacon transmission using a short range wireless radio, such a Bluetooth or WiFi, and including a MAC address, a first unique identifier, and a beacon service identifier. The mobile device then selects one or more unique identifiers from received beacon transmissions, by filtering (that is, selecting) those beacon transmissions which include the beacon service identifier. The wireless device then takes further action, if the first unique identifier is present among the selected one or more unique identifiers, using stored information from the server. The stored information may be delivered to the wireless device in response to the wireless device sending the first unique identifier to a server, or the stored information may have been previously downloaded.

  • Patent number: 11075822
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for receiving, by a computing device, a first I/O request from a first application in a first storage group assigned to a first storage level. A response time for the first I/O request may be identified. It may be identified that the response time for the first I/O request is outside a pre-determined response time. A delay may be added to a second I/O request received from a second application in a second storage group assigned to a second storage level based upon, at least in part, identifying that the response time for the first I/O request is outside the pre-determined response time.

  • Patent number: 11075045
Abstract: A magnetic momentum transfer generator utilizes three or more magnets aligned with each other. A first control magnet is positioned outside a coil. A second magnet is positioned within the windings of the coil and a third magnet is positioned on the opposite side of the coil opposite the control magnet. When the control magnet rotated or moved, mutual magnetic flux lines generated by all three magnets and passing through the coil winding are aligned at right angles to the coil, thereby inducing a maximum voltage at the terminals. This generator is particularly useful for short burst radio micro-transmitters that can be used for battery-less and wireless switching applications.
