Patent number: 11070816Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable mediums are provided. A coded video bitstream including a current picture is received. A determination is made as to whether a current block in a current coding tree unit (CTU) included in the current picture is coded in intra block copy (IBC) mode based on a flag included in the coded video bitstream. In response to the current block being determined as coded in IBC mode, a block vector that points to a first reference block of the current block is determined; an operation is performed on the block vector so that when the first reference block is not fully reconstructed or not within a valid search range of the current block, the block vector is modified to point to a second reference block that is in a fully reconstructed region and within the valid search range of the current block; and the current block is decoded based on the modified block vector.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2020Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: TENCENT AMERICA LLCInventors: Xiaozhong Xu, Xiang Li, Shan Liu

Patent number: 11071028Abstract: Access nodes in a network are configured to periodically measure cell loads and exchange cell load measurements with neighbors. At each access node, cell loads are compared with load thresholds, and with neighboring loads, to determine whether or not load balancing operations should be triggered. Load balancing operations include reducing or increasing an effective coverage area of one or both of the congested cell and the neighbor cell by adjusting a handover threshold parameter, such as a threshold signal level. Adjusting thresholds at a congested cell triggers more handovers from the congested cell to the non-congested cell. Similarly, adjusting thresholds at a non-congested cell prevents handovers from the non-congested cell to the congested cell.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: T-MOBILE INNOVATIONS LLCInventors: Yun Sung Kim, Pinal Tailor, Sanghoon Sung, Tri Duong

Patent number: 11068468Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product for validating a structured data object. A computer system identifies rules for validating interrelationships among data nodes. The data nodes are composable into structured data objects according to a domain specific language. The validation rules are topologically sorted according to dependency relationships declared therein. The computer system receives the structured data object, which consists of interrelated data nodes. The structured data object is traversed according to a traversal algorithm that tracks dependency relationships. Each data node is inserted into a queue according to the traversal algorithm. For each data node in the queue, a subset of the validation rules is identified. The subset is run within a context of the structured data object. Rule failure for the data node are recorded, and a failure report is generated that indicates failure results for each data node.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: ADP, LLCInventors: Bruno Macedo Pasini, Adam Balchunas, Jude Murphy

Patent number: 11068393Abstract: Garbage collection (GC) to reclaim memory in computing systems sometimes suspends applications, web services, and other mutator programs in order to scan their execution stacks, which reduces their responsiveness. But suspension times are decreased by behavior-driven stack scan optimization (BDSSO) functionality that increases the concurrency of mutator execution with GC stack scanning. BDSSO obtains execution stack frame occurrence data, determines frame execution likelihoods, selects a stack scan depth based on the likelihoods, and installs a scan return barrier at the selected depth. Then the GC scans the execution stack below the barrier while the mutator runs, thus increasing concurrency and improving mutator responsiveness. Selected barrier locations vary according to actual stack activity to provide optimized concurrency instead of using an inflexible approach to barrier placement. Existing profiler samples or virtual machine interfaces can be reused by BDSSO.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventor: Aditya Mandaleeka

Patent number: 11066067Abstract: A parking system for autonomous driving vehicles (ADV) is disclosed that utilizes the perception, planning, and prediction modules of ADV driving logic to more safely and accurately park an ADV. An ADV scans a parking lot for an available space, then determines a sequence of portions or segments of a parking path from the ADV's location to a selected parking space. The sequence of segments involves one or more forward driving segments and one or more reverse driving segments. During the forward driving segments, the ADV logic uses the perception, planning, and prediction modules to identify one or more obstacles to the ADV parking path, and speed and direction of those obstacles. During a reverse driving segment, the ADV logically inverts the orientation of the perception, planning, and prediction modules to continue to track the one or more obstacles and their direction and speed while the ADV is driving in a reverse direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2018Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: BAIDU USA LLCInventors: Dong Li, Qi Luo, Liangliang Zhang, Yifei Jiang, Jiaming Tao, Jiangtao Hu
