Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for implementing direct memory access in a virtualized computing environment. A new mapping of interfaces between RNIC Consumer and RDMA Transport is defined, which enables efficient retry, a zombie detection mechanism, and identification and handling of invalid requests without bringing down the RDMA connection. Techniques are disclosed for out of order placement and delivery of ULP Requests without constraining the RNIC Consumer to the ordered networking behavior, if it is not required for the ULP (e.g., storage). This allows efficient deployment of an RDMA accelerated storage workload in a lossy network configuration, and reduction in latency jitter.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically delivering a substance to an animal or fish including a positioning system that positions each animal singularly and a sensor that detects the location of a predetermined targeted area on the animal. The system further includes a delivery device for delivering a substance to the targeted area. The position of the delivery device may be adjustable. The delivery device is in communication with the sensor. The delivery device adjusts its position in response to the data received from the sensor and delivers a substance to the targeted area.
Abstract: Multiple on-line coupons are automatically tested on items of interest to a customer, without requiring the customer to perform any action or to look for such coupons in various sources. Such testing can be automatically initiated and performed on items within the customer's shopping cart. Alternatively or additionally, testing can be automatically initiated and performed while the customer is browsing a page for an item on an e-commerce website, before the customer has even placed items in his or her shopping cart. The best coupon or coupons are then presented to the customer, or automatically applied to provide the customer with the appropriate discounts.
Abstract: Example aspects of a pressure monitoring system for a wet barrel hydrant, a pressure monitoring and leak detection system for a wet barrel hydrant, and a method for using a pressure monitoring and leak detection system are disclosed. The pressure monitoring system for a wet barrel hydrant can comprise a pressure sensor assembly comprising a pressure sensor and a connector, the pressure sensor configured to measure the pressure of a fluid received in the wet barrel hydrant, the connector configured to attach the pressure monitoring system to the wet barrel hydrant; a mounting flange coupled to the pressure sensor assembly; a main PCB configured to process pressure data measured by the pressure sensor; an antenna configured to send a signal representative of the pressure data; and a housing coupled to the mounting flange, the housing enclosing the processor and the antenna.

Abstract: A vehicle system includes a vehicle, a vehicle control unit (VCU), a plurality of data modules and a data conversion interface. The vehicle includes a chassis that supports the other components of the vehicle, including the VCU. The data modules each provide an output signal with a data type specific to each data module. The data conversion interface couples with the VCU and each data module. The data conversion interface receives the output signal from each data module, converts each output signal into a common data format, and transmits the converted output signals to the VCU.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods useful for providing one or more chemical compounds in a substantially pure form. In particular, the systems and methods can be configured for separation of carbon dioxide from a process stream, such as a process stream in a hydrogen production system. As such, the present disclosure can provide systems and method for production of hydrogen and/or carbon dioxide.
Abstract: Photosensitive devices and associated methods are provided. In one aspect, for example, a photosensitive imager device can include a semiconductor layer having multiple doped regions forming a least one junction, a textured region coupled to the semiconductor layer and positioned to interact with electromagnetic radiation. The textured region can be formed from a series of shallow trench isolation features.
Abstract: A liquid product distribution network includes a liquid product distribution monitoring and reporting apparatus for operation in association with a tap handle flow monitoring and reporting apparatus. The liquid product distribution monitoring and reporting apparatus includes a radio transmitter device and sensing circuitry for sensing and communicating physical properties associating with the keg. A tap handle flow monitoring and reporting apparatus senses flow of a liquid through a tap includes a tap handle radio transmitter device for fitting within and protected by a tap handle and a low-energy consumption tap handle radio/processing module.
Abstract: A thermal energy management system for a vehicle supplies thermal energy to a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The thermal energy management system includes three thermal fluid loops. The first thermal fluid loop includes a coolant pump for circulating a coolant through at least a vehicle battery, a transmission oil cooler of the vehicle, and a chiller such that the coolant selectively transfers thermal energy from the vehicle battery, the transmission oil cooler, and the chiller. The second thermal fluid loop circulates oil through the transmission oil cooler. The third thermal fluid loop circulates a refrigerant through at least the chiller and at least one condenser such that the third thermal fluid loop transfers thermal energy to the passenger compartment.

Abstract: The present disclosure related to an electric grill's housing, controller, and a mounting bracket which mounts the controller to the housing. The mounting bracket is generally hollow and forms a thermal barrier between the controller and the housing, wherein the thermal barrier protects the controller from heat generated in the housing. As a result, the controller does not require insulation and may include lower temperature rated components. Moreover, the mounting bracket may have metallic tabs which interface with spring elements on the controller, thereby fastening the controller to the bracket. These spring elements and metallic tabs may be in electric communication with the housing, thereby allowing the controller to act as an electric ground with respect to the housing.
Abstract: The ball socket assembly includes a housing with at least one open end and with an inner surface that surrounds an inner bore which extends along a central axis. The ball socket assembly also includes a ball stud that has a ball portion and a shank portion. The ball portion is disposed in the inner bore of the housing and has an outer diameter which is in a spherical fit relationship with the inner surface of the housing. The shank portion of the ball stud extends out of the inner bore through the at least one open end of the housing. The ball portion is out of contact with any bearings on opposite axial sides of the ball portion such that the ball stud is able to move along the central axis relative to the housing.
Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a variable, BitDepth, that may be set at a value based on a number of bits used to represent pixels in pictures of a video. The variable may be used in syntax elements in HEVC, such as the HEVC range extension, but other coding standards may be used. By using the variable, different resolutions for the video may be accommodated during the encoding and decoding process. For example, the number of pixels in the pictures may be represented by 8 bits, 10 bits, 12 bits, or another number of bits depending on the resolution. Using the BitDepth variable in the syntax provides flexibility in the motion estimation and motion compensation process. For example, syntax elements used in the weighted prediction process may take into account different numbers of bits used to represent the pictures.
Abstract: A system is provided for processing a circulating load in comminution circuit of a mineral separation process for separating mineral particles of interest from an ore, featuring: a coarse screen and an enhanced mineral separation circuit (EMSC). The coarse screen may be configured to receive a cyclone underflow having mineral particles of interest and forming part of the circulating load of the comminution circuit, and provide coarse screen feeds for further processing.
