Abstract: The invention pertains to processes for separating gases, acid gas, hydrocarbons, air gases, or combinations thereof. The processes may employ using a liquid phase cloud point with or without subsequent liquid-liquid separation. In some embodiments membranes can be employed with reverse osmosis to regenerate a solvent and/or an antisolvent. In some embodiments thermal switching phase changes may be employed during absorption or desorption to facilitate separation.

Abstract: An adjustable tension knee brace for unloading weight from a knee joint afflicted with osteoarthritis, thus reducing pain and improving mobility, comprising: an upper and lower frame connected by an unloading hinge assembly, optionally comprising a sensor and processor allowing for remote or automatic control of brace tension. In embodiments, the brace includes a user mechanism that is capable of adjusting a tensioning element while the brace is being worn. In other embodiments, electronic motors, sensors, and indicators may be included in the brace to improve brace performance and user interaction.

Abstract: A travel kit for providing a clean and sanitary environment when using public transportation. The travel kit may comprise a seat cover having flexible properties and that is puncture- and abrasion-resistant. The seat cover may be removably disposed over a seat to provide a barrier between the seat and an individual sitting in the seat. The travel kit may also comprise a table cover configured to provide a sanitary working surface. The table cover may also include a retaining feature, such as an adhesive, for removably securing the table cover to a surface. The travel kit may further comprise an entertainment item, such as a writing utensil, configured to write on the table cover. The travel kit may also include a mask, such as a surgical mask, to prevent inhalation of allergens or other microorganisms. The travel kit may include a portable container for storing the contents of the kit.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having an interior cavity, a toe portion, a heel portion, a front portion, a back portion, a top portion, and a sole portion. The body portion may include a ledge portion that extends from an upper back wall portion to a lower back wall portion of the back portion. The golf club head may include a face portion coupled to the front portion to close the interior cavity, a port on the body portion, a polymer material in the interior cavity, and a mass portion. A width of the ledge portion may be greater than a width of the body portion above a horizontal midplane of the body portion. A distance between a portion of the polymer material in the interior cavity and the face portion at a location vertically above the mass portion and below the ledge portion may be greater than a distance between the mass portion and the face portion.

Abstract: A system for signaling extension functions used in decoding a sequence including a plurality of pictures, each picture processed at least in part according to a picture parameter set is disclosed. An extension presence signaling flag is read and used to determine whether flags signaling the performance of extension functions are to be read. The flags are only read if indicated by the extension presence signaling flag.

Abstract: Techniques for optimizing a scan pattern of a LIDAR system including a bistatic transceiver include receiving first SNR values based on values of a range of the target, where the first SNR values are for a respective scan rate. Techniques further include receiving second SNR values based on values of the range of the target, where the second SNR values are for a respective integration time. Techniques further include receiving a maximum design range of the target at each angle in the angle range. Techniques further include determining, for each angle in the angle range, a maximum scan rate and a minimum integration time. Techniques further include defining a scan pattern of the LIDAR system based on the maximum scan rate and the minimum integration time at each angle and operating the LIDAR system according to the scan pattern.

Abstract: During operation, an electronic device may store, in memory, information associated with operation of the electronic device, such as during communication and processing of one or more packets or frames. Furthermore, an error-event monitor in the electronic device may, during a time interval, analyze at least a portion of the stored information to detect an occurrence of an error event in one or more types of error events in the electronic device. When the error event occurs during the time interval, the electronic device may perform a remedial action and may persist, in the memory, at least a second portion of the stored information associated with the error event. Otherwise, when the error event does not occur during the time interval, the electronic device may overwrite, in the memory, the stored information with additional information associated with operation of the electronic device during subsequent communicating and processing.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a wire-end connector. The wire-end connector includes a wafer, a shield plate and a twin-ax cable. The wafer includes a frame and a terminal group. The terminal group is supported by the frame. The terminal group includes a signal terminal pair and a ground plate. The ground plate includes a ground terminal on both sides of the signal terminal pair. The shield plate is electrically connected to the ground plate. The shield plate includes an opening that penetrates the shield plate. The twin-ax cable includes a pair of conductors and a ground portion. The pair of conductors extend into the opening of the shield plate and are electrically connected to the signal terminal pair. The ground portion electrically connects at least one of the shield plate and the ground plate.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a first interior cavity and a second interior cavity at or proximate to the bottom portion. The first interior cavity may extend between a toe portion and a heel portion and be located between a plurality of ports and the front portion. The first internal cavity may be at least partially filled with a first elastomer portion. A second internal cavity may extend between the toe portion and the heel portion and be located between the plurality of ports and a rear portion. The flip-lid mirror cosmetic-product packaging includes a base unit, a half lid, and a mirror lid. The base unit includes a tray having plurality of cosmetic products. The base unit has a first elongate side and a second elongate side. The half lid is pivotally attached to the first elongate side with an accommodation gap. The mirror lid is pivotally attached to an upper edge of the second elongate side. Furthermore, an edge of mirror lid abuts to the second elongate side, to maintain mirror lid in a tilted pivotal angle when mirror lid is in an open state. The mirror lid in its closed state lies adjacent to the tray, and is accommodated within the accommodation gap, so that the half lid in its closed state overlays an externally-facing surface of mirror lid in its closed state.

Abstract: A head-mounted display is presented. The head-mounted display includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU), one or more displays and a controller. The controller is configured to establish a reprojection plane for displaying imagery on the one or more displays. Based on output from the IMU, the position and orientation of the HMD relative to the reprojection plane is determined. Image data is then reprojected to the displays. A depth treatment is applied to each of a plurality of locations on the displays based on the determined position and orientation of the HMD relative to the reprojection plane.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes providing a flexible mat; wrapping the flexible mat around a crossbar of an infant or toddler seat; affixing at least two of a plurality of suction cups; providing a tether configured to secure an object; and coupling the tether to an anchor block by disposing an anchor terminus through an aperture, forming a compression fit. The flexible mat may have a mat body characterized by a front side, back side and thickness; and a plurality of anchors. Each anchor may include an anchor block having an aperture configured to receive a tether, and a suction cup. Each anchor may be disposed through the thickness, such that its anchor block is on the front side and its suction cup extends from the back side. The back side may be adjacent a surface of the crossbar. The method may include securing an object to the tether.

The method includes receiving a first application request message at a gateway service, and generating a first client request message, by the gateway service, based on the first application request message. The first client request message may have a customized header comprising an identification of the gateway service. The method may include forwarding the first client request message from the gateway service to a first service of a plurality of services, and the first service updating the customized header of the first client request message to add an identification of the first service. The method includes generating, at the first service, a first client response message comprising the customized header, and generating, at the gateway service, a deployment scheme for a subset of services of the plurality of services based on the customized header of the first client response message.

Abstract: Cation-stabilized materials and compositions are described herein, which suppress the structural and electrochemical instability of lithium-metal-oxide spinel and lithiated lithium-metal-oxide spinel electrodes for lithium batteries, notably lithium-ion batteries. The lithium metal oxide electrode material comprises a disordered rock salt structure with partial lithiated-spinel character, wherein, for example, the disordered rock salt structure comprises a formula Li2(M?2?am??a)O4, which has the crystallographic formula: [Li2?bM??b]16c [M?2?aM??1-bLib]16dO4 wherein 16c and 16d refer to the octahedral sites of the prototypic space group symmetry Fd3m; M? and M?? are metal ions; 0<a?0.5; and 0<b<0.5. These stabilized materials are useful as positive electrodes for lithium batteries in their own right or when used as a structural component to stabilize layered metal oxide electrode systems, such as a two-component layered-layered system or a multi-component layered-layered-spinel system.

The fluoroolefin compositions of the present invention are useful as refrigerants or heat transfer fluids and in processes for producing cooling or heat.
