Abstract: A load control device for controlling the power delivered from an AC power source to an electrical load includes a thyristor, a gate coupling circuit for conducting a gate current through a gate of the thyristor, and a control circuit for controlling the gate coupling circuit to conduct the gate current through a first current path to render the thyristor conductive at a firing time during a half cycle. The gate coupling circuit is able to conduct the gate current through the first current path again after the firing time, but the gate current is not able to be conducted through the gate from a transition time before the end of the half-cycle until approximately the end of the half-cycle. The load current is able to be conducted through a second current path to the electrical load after the transition time until approximately the end of the half-cycle.

Abstract: A lipstick arrangement including a casing and a protective covering. The casing includes a first part including a carrier at a bottom region, a second part and a protruding element attached to the second part. Lipstick bullet is mounted on the carrier and has an elongate shape including a sloping top portion. The carrier is operatively coupled to the first part and the second part and the carrier is arranged to move in an axial direction relative to the second part in response to the first part being rotated relative to the second part. The protective covering covers the first part of the casing when applied to the casing. The sloping top portion of the lipstick bullet is configured to face away from the protruding element when the lipstick bullet is unscrewed to a fully deployed position.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, streaming of a live video to trigger-associated recipients in response to triggers in an environment may be facilitated. In some embodiments, one or more triggers may be detected in an environment, and one or more actions associated with the detected triggers may be performed. As an example, where such associated actions include streaming a live video of the environment to one or more recipients, the recipients may be selected as candidates to receive the live video stream based on the recipients being part of a recipient list associated with a detected trigger. In some embodiments, although a first recipient of the recipient list may initially be selected to receive the live video stream, the live video may be streamed to a second recipient of the recipient list based on the first recipient being unavailable to receive the live video stream.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing browser extension are disclosed. In some embodiments, the browser extension system includes a communication device in communication with a computing device and a networked system. The browser extension system also includes a processor configured to perform operations comprising: maintaining data associated with the computing device; detecting, through a browser extension application running on the computing device, a field in a web page associated with the networked system and provided by a web browser application running on the computing device; and in response to detecting the field: (i) automatically populating the field, through the browser extension application, with a secure token mapped to the data, (ii) detecting, through the browser extension application, a submission script associated with the web page, and (iii) automatically executing the submission script to submit the secure token through the browser extension application to the networked system.

Abstract: Classing and inspecting poles and pilings is a manual process that, due to human error, results in inaccurate, inconsistent products and a waste of resources. An automated method and device for inspecting and classing poles and pilings and keeping a real-time inventory comprising a conveyance system, pole profiler, counting wheel encoders, cutting device, control console, and real-time database provides a more accurate product in less time and at a lower cost.

Abstract: A roller shade mounting element comprising: a bracket having a first end configured to couple to a support surface and configured to support a roller window shade assembly; a first surface carried by the first end configured to bear against the support surface; a second end included in the bracket substantially opposite the first end; a second surface carried by the second end disposed between the first end and the second end, the second surface configured to support an end of the roller window shade assembly; and a member coupled with the bracket and configured to engage the roller window shade assembly, and the member configured to limit rotation of at least a portion of the roller window shade assembly; and, wherein the combination of the bracket and the roller window shade assembly completely obscures at least a portion of the bracket to an observer.

Abstract: An electronic device includes multiple networking devices arranged in a stack. The networking devices may include configurable ports, where a given configurable port in the configurable ports may be configured as a data port or a stacking port. During operation, a networking device in the stack may be designated as a master in the stack. In response, the networking device may provide one or more probe messages to determine a state of the networking devices, where the state includes one or more connections among the networking devices. Then, the networking device may verify that the one or more connections are correct. When the one or more connections are correct, the networking device may define a subset of the configurable ports in the networking devices as stacking ports.

Abstract: This disclosure describes the use of optical sensors to detect and characterize the state of traffic lights to assist with the navigation of autonomous vehicles. In particular, a specific optical configuration is shown that includes both a fixed-exposure sensor and an auto-exposure sensor. Imagery from the two sensor types can be combined to more accurately characterize the state of traffic signals at any particular intersection. Systems and methods for analyzing only select regions of the imagery captured by the traffic light detection system are also described.

Abstract: A system for providing mobile content to a mobile communication device includes a first computing system including one or more servers to cause a graphical user interface to be displayed at a second computing system, the graphical user interface (i) enabling a user of the second computing system to at least one of create, edit, or select the mobile content and (ii) enabling the user of the second computing system to provide a phone number associated with the mobile communication device, the mobile communication device being separate and remote from the first computing system and the second computing system.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame, a valve, and an expansion element. The frame is movable between contracted and expanded configurations and includes first struts and second struts non-hingedly coupled together. The second struts are configured to pivot relative to the first struts as the frame moves between the contracted and expanded configurations. The valve is coupled to the frame and includes leaflets. The expansion element extends through a lumen of the first struts. The expansion element is slidable relative to the lumen of the first struts and is configured to move the frame incrementally from the contracted configuration and the expanded configuration and from the expanded configuration to the contracted configuration.

In alternative embodiments, compositions and methods of the invention are used for the stabilization, amelioration, treatment and/or prevention of constipation, for the treatment of abdominal pain, particularly non-specific abdominal pain, and diarrhea, including diarrhea caused by a drug side effect, a psychological condition, a disease or a condition such as Crohn's Disease, a poison, a toxin or an infection, e.g., a toxin-mediated travelers diarrhea, or C. difficile or the pseudo-membranous colitis associated with this infection.

Abstract: A tubular structure having variable support includes a tubular member and a structural support member with a flexible tubular member over the structural support member, such that the flexible tubular member can engage and disengage or squeeze and release the structural support member. The structural support member can be a tubular mesh, stent, framework, skeleton, braid or other flexible framework. A fluid passage can be used to inflate and deflate the flexible tubular member. Methods of assembly and methods of use are also described.

Abstract: A U-shaped clamp to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped clamp includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first wing connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second wing connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one wing snaps into a strut ledge or a rolled edge of the structural member when in an engaged position. The structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The wings engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the pipe clamp to the strut. Alternatively, the U-shaped clamp may snap into suitably sized strut ledges or a rolled edges on the structural member.

The steam generator unit comprises a HP unit, a HP water-band heater, an evaporator, a super heater, and at least a spray gun attachment. The high-pressure unit comprises a main pump for supplying a liquid from a storage tank in case of independent unit. The HP water band heater connected to the HP unit via a needle valve and a first manifold. The evaporator connected to the band heater via a second manifold and a check-valve, configured to convert the liquid into steam at a saturation point. The super heater connected to the evaporator via a check-valve, configured to heat the generated steam to the saturated temperature. The high-pressure steam attachment or spray gun connected to the super heater via a fourth manifold, configured to spray the generated high-pressure steam for sanitizing the surface the surface of the object being treated.

Abstract: A tree stand assembly includes a platform that has a front edge for engaging a tree. A post is attached to the platform adjacent to the front edge and extends upwardly therefrom. A bracket is attached to a front side of the post and has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter surface extending between the top and bottom sides. The perimeter surface includes a front surface, a rear surface, a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface. The front surface has a plurality of teeth therein extending forward of the bracket to engage a tree. The rear surface includes a central section and a pair of outer sections positioned on opposite sides of the central section. The outer sections extend away from the front surface and the central section toward an associated one of the first and second lateral surfaces.

Abstract: Techniques for divisive clustering of a dataset to identify consumer choice patterns are described herein. The techniques include accessing a data source having a dataset to be analyzed and obtaining a feature list upon which the dataset is clustered. The dataset is hierarchically clustered using divisive clustering by estimating a conditional probability of stickiness for each feature of the feature list within the dataset. The feature having the greatest probability of stickiness is selected and used to split the dataset into clusters based on the feature. Then each cluster or branch of the dataset is recursively clustered using the same technique of estimating the probability of stickiness for each of the remaining features, selecting the feature with the highest probability of stickiness, and dividing the remaining dataset into clusters based on that feature. A nested logit model is generated using the hierarchical clustering and used to identify consumer choice patterns.

Abstract: An infrasound drive system and method are disclosed. An infrasound drive system includes a control circuit for transmitting a data signal and a power signal, and one or more infrasound drive that includes an input terminal, an amplifier and a tactile transducer. In one or more infrasound drives, the amplifier receives a power signal from the power channel and a data signal from the data channel. The amplifier outputs an amplified signal to the tactile transducer. The tactile transducer generates a tactile vibration based on the data signal and the power signal. An infrasound drive can be disposed in a housing and transmit a haptic force to a user in contact with the housing. A user can limit the haptic force transmitted by the infrasound drive. The power channel and the data channel can be provided by a power over Ethernet (PoE) cable.

Abstract: Methods of identifying a genetic structural variation include assembling single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data from parents and their offspring; analyzing the SNP data for at least one non-Mendelian inheritance pattern (NMI), filtering to remove normal structural variation, and filtering to identify regions that should be conserved but are disrupted. The disrupted regions may be specific to a disease or disorder of interest. Methods of identifying a structural variation in a genome of a patient and treating a disease or disorder related to the structural variation are also disclosed.
