Abstract: An apparatus and method for installing a pivot guide in a door section of a bifold door, the pivot guide including a base, a flange at an upper region of the base, a pin extending into the base, and a top part connected to the pin wherein the apparatus includes: an upper part; a lower part; and a middle part connecting the upper part to the lower part; the lower part has a notch, and during the installing of the pivot guide into the door section, the notch is positioned between the flange and the top part of the pivot guide, and after a force is applied onto the upper part, the force is transferred from the upper part to the lower part through the middle part and onto the flange to push the base into the opening in the door section.
Abstract: Apparatus for performing group computing in a safety-critical operating environment (SCOE) includes a primary computing device, wherein the primary computing device includes a processor and a memory communicatively connected to the processor. The memory contains instructions configuring the processor to receive task data, determine a group computing need by comparing the task data against a preset group computing criterion, determine a hardware allocation as a function of the group computing need, create a virtual environment using a secondary computing device communicatively connected to the primary computing device, as a function of the hardware allocation, allocate at least a portion of the task data to the at least a secondary computing device, as a function of the group computing need, wherein the at least a portion of the task data is executed by the secondary computing device, and receive from the at least a secondary computing device a processing result.
Abstract: Autonomous devices and systems, methods, and program products for authorizing and performing autonomous devices transactions are disclosed. An autonomous device can be configured to generate a first hash value of a chain of hash values by applying a hash algorithm to first data including first new data and a first previous hash value of the chain of hash values, the first previous hash value computed by applying the hash algorithm to first previous data. The device can transmit to a transaction computer system the first hash value and the first new data. The device can generate and transmit to the transaction computer system a first signed electronic transaction request comprising first transaction data comprising a sending account identifier associated with the autonomous device, a destination account identifier, a transaction amount, and a timestamp. The device can digitally sign the transaction request using a private key of an asymmetric key pair.

Abstract: A mobile heat pipe cooled fast nuclear reactor may be configured for transportation to remote locations and may be able to provide 0.5 to 2 megawatts of power. The mobile heat pipe cooled fast reactor may contain a plurality of heat pipes that are proximate to a plurality of fuel pins inside the reactor. The plurality of heat pipes may extend out of the reactor. The reactor may be configured to be placed in a standard shipping container, and may further be configured to be contained within a cask and attached to a skid for easier transportation.

Abstract: A mattress topper is provided that includes a cover having opposing first and second panels each made from a first material. The mattress topper includes a gusset that either perimetrically joins the first and second panels and/or is in the form of one or more patches located on the first and/or second panels. The gusset is made from a second material that has a porosity that is different than that of the first material. A fill material is disposed within the cover.

A hot patch fill wand and box surrounding the wand configured for installing a hot patch fill sealant into a microtrench. A method of filling and sealing a microtrench containing an optical fiber and/or innerduct/microduct using the microtrench gravel installer to precisely fill a microtrench to a desired gravel layer thickness.
Abstract: Disclosed is a quasi-omnidirectional antenna having three array faces, wherein each of the three array faces has a radiator array having a plurality of radiator columns. Each of the corresponding radiator columns on the radiator arrays are coupled together to a single pair of antenna ports, one per polarization. This results in a service beam having three gain lobes that can be swept in unison in a scan. By scanning the service beam, the antenna may enable a high-gain connection to a mobile device, emulating a high gain omnidirectional antenna. Further disclosed is a variation having four array faces spaced 90 degrees apart, which offers additional performance benefits.
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for determining job classifications of anonymous users. Energy Infrastructure (EI) information associated with a known EI facility and anonymized location tracking data is obtained. The EI facility information includes a location of the known EI facility and an identification of the known EI facility, and the anonymized location tracking data includes visited locations associated with an anonymous user ID. A job classification is associated with the anonymous user ID based on a correlation between the visited locations, the location of the known EI facility, and the identification of the known EI facility. Location tracking data associated with a user of a known job classification can be used to identify a previously unknown EI facility.
Abstract: An audio firewall system has a microphone that generates audio data. A speech-to-text engine converts the audio data to text data. The text data is parsed for a service wake word and corresponding content data. The service wake word identifies one of a local security system and a remote assistant server. A text-to-speech engine converts the service wake word and the corresponding content data to converted audio data. The converted audio data is provided to the remote assistant server. The content data is provided to the local security system. The audio firewall system receives a response from the remote assistant server or the local security system and outputs an audio signal corresponding to the response.
Abstract: A bracket system is provided for the storage and retrieval of an article of equipment such as a self-contained breathing apparatus of the type used by firefighters and other first responders to provide breathing air during firefighting and other emergency operations. The bracket system securely stores the article of equipment in a position at which the article of equipment has an upside down, or inverted orientation, facing the back of the storage area. The bracket system is configured to articulate in a manner that positions the article of equipment in a lowered position at which the article of equipment has an upright orientation, facing the user, so that the user can retrieve the article of equipment.
Abstract: A method and system for blockchain-driven communication using encapsulated virtual chains can facilitate blockchain-driven inter-PSAP communication using encapsulated virtual chains. Embodiments can be generalized for any context (e.g. not only for the specific examples of the Next Generation 9-1-1 and 1-1-2 (NG9-1-1/NG1-1-2) architectures).
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, servers and methods for providing a novel framework that enables the unique cataloging and organization of audio files, upon which audio rendering experiences can be created and provided to requesting users, whether the users are individuals or third-party partners. The disclosed framework enables audio files to be stripped down, uniquely stored, and then stitched together in a novel manner that previously did not exist within the computing arts. The disclosed systems and methods, therefore, provide a novel platform where audio is not just provided to consumers, but audio experiences are compiled from various types of audio formats and types in a unique, dynamically determined manner for a listening user.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a circuit board disposed in a frame. The circuit board has at least one signal input parts/signal output parts (SIP/SOP) port. The frame includes a fascia cover disposed over the at least one SIP/SOP port. The fascia cover has an opening aligned with the at least one SIP/SOP port. The door is movable from an open position to a closed position across the opening. The fascia cover and the door include an insulating material layer and a conductive material layer. A portion of the conductive material layer is disposed on an area of the fascia cover at a distance from edges of the opening, and another portion of the conductive material layer is disposed on an area of the door at a distance from an edge of the door.

Abstract: A voltage output circuit and methods for operating voltage output circuits are disclosed. In some embodiments, a voltage output circuit comprises a power converter and a power converter controller, and is configured to provide a desired output voltage for charging an output. In some embodiments, the power converter comprises a first transistor and a second transistor. By using the power converter controller to control the power converter, a current through the first transistor may be increased until it reaches a value corresponding to the desired output voltage. When the value is reached, the first transistor may be turned off to cause a drain-to-source voltage of the second transistor to become zero. When the drain-to-source voltage of the second transistor becomes zero, the second transistor turns on, and an output of the power converter is charged to the desired output voltage.
Abstract: In some examples, systems and methods for generating predicted ink strokes, using ink-based semantics, are provided. Ink stroke data may be received, the ink stroke data and a semantic context may be input into a model. From the model, one or more predicted ink strokes may be determined. Further, an indication of the one or more predicted ink strokes may be generated.
