Abstract: Systems, methods, and processing nodes for performing carrier aggregation in a wireless network including obtaining, at a relay access node, a control channel load level of a first carrier deployed by a donor access node, determining, at the relay access node, that the control channel load level is within an acceptable load level, and aggregating the first carrier with a second carrier deployed by the relay access node to communicate with a wireless device attached to the relay access node.
Abstract: An inspiratory resistor valve system (IRV) to regulate intrathoracic pressure during positive pressure breathing, spontaneous inspirations, and CPR may include an inspiratory port. The IRV system may include patient port. The IRV system may include a separate expiratory port. The IRV may include a plurality of atmospheric pressure sensitive valves. The plurality of atmospheric pressure sensitive valves may isolate the expiratory port and the inspiratory port from one another.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for probabilistic on-board diagnostics. In one example, a method may include calculating a probabilistic metric for a sample of a measured operating condition of a vehicle system component, averaging a plurality of probabilistic metrics including the probabilistic metric for a plurality of samples including the sample, and determining whether the vehicle system component is degraded based on the averaged plurality of probabilistic metrics. In this way, the functionality of a vehicle system component may be continuously monitored without regard for specific diagnostic entry conditions.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of performing a data transmission from an electronic device or a peripheral device of an electronic device to a peripheral device of a remote electronic device is disclosed. One example method of performing the data transmission may include transmitting data designated for the remote peripheral device to a local virtual device object. The data that is received by the local virtual device object is transmitted via at least one communication interface or peripheral device of the electronic device to at least one remote communication interface or peripheral device of the remote electronic device. The data arriving at the least one remote communication interface or peripheral device of the remote electronic device is received by a remote virtual device object and transmitted to the designated remote peripheral device.
Abstract: The present invention provides a calculator comprising number keys for digits one through nine, a NULL key, a first additional number key configured to represent 3.663, and a second additional fixed value number key configured to represent 6.336. The number keys are operatively coupled to processor configure to execute mathematical functions. The calculator can be a stand-alone device, or be executed within a cell phone, tablet, or other general purpose computer.

Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for a fuel injector. In one example, a fuel injector includes a nozzle tip including a plurality of injection holes, a first needle biased against the nozzle tip via a first biasing member positioned within a first control volume, and a second needle surrounding a portion of the first needle and biased against the first needle and the nozzle tip via a second biasing member positioned within a second control volume. A needle actuator may be energized for different durations of time in order to move one or more of the first needle and the second needle relative to the nozzle tip.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method comprising providing one or more information carrier(s) with a dielectric and/or conductive pattern and a detection device having a capacitive touch screen and inducing an interaction between the information carrier and the touch screen, wherein the interaction is based on a difference in the dielectric coefficient and/or the conductivity of the pattern and generates a touch signal and wherein the interaction is induced by relative motion between the information carrier and the touch screen. Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for managing memories of computing resources is disclosed. In the method, a computing task processed by a first computing resource in a group of computing resources is determined. In response to a second memory of a second computing resource other than the first computing resource in the group of computing resources being allocated to the computing task, a second access speed with which the first computing resource accesses the second memory is determined. A target computing resource is selected from the group of computing resources based on an access speed with which the first computing resource accesses a target memory of the target computing resource, where the access speed is higher than the second access speed. At least one part of data in the second memory is migrated to the target memory.

Abstract: A system and method for displaying a user interface may include an examination and/or elimination of positional bias of interactive categories in order to drive user engagement. A method or system configured to execute the method on a user interface may include creating a first arrangement of categories. The arrangement can be shown on a user device to one or more users a selected number of times. The users' interactions with the categories in the interface may be recorded. The method may further include creating a second arrangement, which is different from the first arrangement, and this second arrangement may be shown to the users the selected number of times and the users' interactions with the second arrangement may be recorded. Based on the frequency of user interactions with the first and second arrangement, a ranked set of the categories may be created and displayed to users.
Abstract: A saturated layer stormwater filtering system with down-flow layered multimedia filters is disclosed. The filtering system may include an upflow pretreatment chamber and a subsequent filtration chamber. It also includes a snorkel pipe as an adjustable head control or internal baffles. The system incorporates gravity powered partially saturated stormwater media filters to harness the potential energy of stormwater from downspouts and pumped flows from stormwater catchments to drive the polluted stormwater in a hydraulically controlled fashion by gravity through a series of filter media layers.

Abstract: A welding method includes: moving a welding head toward a plurality of workpieces, wherein each of the plurality of workpieces includes a polymeric composite, the polymeric composite includes a polymer matrix and a plurality of fibers, and each of the fibers includes a magnetic material; applying a joining pressure to the workpieces with the welding head; applying energy to the plurality of workpieces to melt an interface between the plurality of workpieces, wherein a weld plane is defined at the interface between the plurality of workpieces; and applying a magnetic field to the plurality of workpieces to change an orientation of the plurality of fibers relative to the polymer matrix in the weld area so that the fibers in a weld area are at an angle relative to the weld plane.
