Abstract: A roll assembly, which may be included in an agricultural baler, includes: a first roll having a first roll surface with a plurality of first extensions extending therefrom, the first extensions defining a first rotation path when rotated; and a second roll having a second roll surface with a plurality of second extensions extending therefrom, the second extensions defining a second rotation path when rotated. The first roll and the second roll are disposed adjacent to one another such that the first rotation path and the second rotation path partially overlap. At least one roll driver is coupled to at least one of the first roll or the second roll and configured to rotate the first roll and the second roll in the rotation direction such that the first extensions and the second extensions do not collide with each other during rotation of the first roll and the second roll.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the infusion of polycosanols, including triacontanol (C30-OH), into essential-oil-based pesticides for the purpose of mitigating phytotoxicity inherent in essential-oil-based pesticides and for introducing the plant biostimulant triacontanol (C30-OH). Such formulations are typically combined with one or more emulsifier and water and applied to plants as a spray or fog to foliage, or pruning cuts, or as a root zone drench, or to seeds, for purposes of insect and disease suppression, and for increasing plant growth and/or yields and/or quality of yields and/or stimulating an immune response for controlling diseases. All claims for such benefits of essential oils as pesticides and of triacontanol as a plant biostimulant are supported by numerous studies in peer review journals. The invention improves upon existing essential-oil-based pesticides by reducing phytotoxicity from the addition of waxes, and by introducing the potent plant biostimulant wax, triacontanol.

Abstract: A process and system provides for atraumatic preparation of morselized Tissue Particles (TP)s, such as Full Thickness Skin Graft Particles (FTSGPs), cartilage particles and other organ tissue particles, in a liquid medium. The resultant tissue product may be a suspension of Tissue Particles in an aqueous solution and containing highly viable cells and may be rapidly prepared at bedside or in the operating room and conveniently delivered to a patient through a syringe or similar applicator. The morselized Tissues Particles may be used for surgical applications including wound healing, cosmetic surgery, and orthopedic cartilage repairs.

Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to apply a transform function to a plurality of images from a real-world dataset to generate a plurality of feature vectors, to apply a subspace generation algorithm to generate basis vectors of a subspace, and to project a simulated image onto the subspace to generate a realistic synthetic image.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a system, method, and device for processing inaudible tones. Content is received from one or more sources. One or more inaudible tones included in the content are detected. Information is associated with the one or more inaudible tones from the content are extracted. Usage information associated with the content is determined in response to the information. The usage information includes at least licensing information and content information. The usage information is communicated to one or more parties associated with the content.

Abstract: Formulations of praziquantel are used to locally treat female genital schistosomiasis. The formulations can be applied to the upper or lower female genital tract, depending on the location of the infection. Thick or viscous formulations can be used advantageously in the vagina. Solutions of active ingredient can be instilled in the uterus.

Abstract: Improved solenoid controllers and control methods. One illustrative solenoid control method embodiment includes: supplying a drive signal to a solenoid, the drive signal having: an average current corresponding to a desired position of an armature, and a dither current having a dither amplitude that produces an associated solenoid voltage variation; varying the dither amplitude in a region insufficient to overcome static friction of the armature; determining a linear relationship between the dither amplitude and the associated solenoid voltage variation in said region; increasing the dither amplitude while monitoring the associated solenoid voltage variation for a deviation below the voltage variation indicated by the linear relationship; and upon detecting said deviation, employing a corresponding dither amplitude to maintain mobility of the armature.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a multiple-chamber airbag structure where the airbag design has at least a stiff lower section to reduce the chest velocity and a soft upper section to meet the HIC requirements. Although stowed and deployed as a unitary airbag, the present invention includes separate chambers, which allows for independent gas inflation and stiffness control with venting.

Abstract: A processing system comprises a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions executable by the processor to receive a polarimetric image from a polarimetric camera sensor, and to identify a road surface in the received image based on a vehicle location, an orientation of the camera sensor, and a vehicle pose. The memory stores instructions, upon identifying, in the polarimetric image, polarized light reflections from the identified road surface based on a polarization direction and a polarization degree determined from the polarimetric image, to remove the identified polarized light reflections from the polarimetric image, thereby generating an updated polarimetric image including generating a de-mosaicked imaged based on the identified polarized light reflections, wherein the identified polarized light reflections are ignored at de-mosaicking, and to identify a road feature including a lane marking based on the updated polarimetric image.

The system provides the user with a list of model examples upon request, and responds to a user selection of a model by creating both a model formula or control and model data upon which the formula or control is calculated or may act. The model is editable by the user, so that they may better understand the function being illustrated and use it with their own data.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry generates first reconstructed samples of a block, and applies a filter to multiple color components of the first reconstructed samples of the block to determine offsets to be applied to one or more color components. Then, the processing circuitry generates second reconstructed samples of the block based on the offsets for the one or more color components and the first reconstructed samples of the block.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments presently disclosed, a method for processing a chemical stream may include contacting a feed stream with a catalyst in a reactor portion of a reactor system that includes a reactor portion and a catalyst processing portion. Contacting the feed stream with the catalyst may cause a reaction forming an effluent. The method may include separating the effluent stream from the catalyst, passing the catalyst to the catalyst processing portion, and processing the catalyst in the catalyst processing portion. Processing the catalyst may include passing the catalyst to a combustor, combusting a supplemental fuel stream in the combustor to heat the catalyst, and treating the heated catalyst with an oxygen-containing gas. The supplemental fuel stream may include at least 1 mol % of one or more hydrocarbons, and a weight ratio of catalyst to hydrocarbons in the combustor may be at least 300:1.

A table in a first memory is used to store which input is fed to each processor of the SIMD array. A crossbar is used to route a specific input to each processor each MAC cycle. A second memory is used to provide the appropriate weight to each processor that corresponds the input being routed to that processor.

Abstract: A load control device adapted to be coupled between an AC power source and an electrical load for controlling the power delivered to the load includes a controller, an actuator for turning the electrical load on and off, an occupancy detection circuit, and an ambient light detector. The load control device automatically turns on the electrical load in response to the presence of an occupant only if the detected ambient light is below a predetermined ambient light level threshold. After first detecting the presence of an occupant, the load control device monitors actuations of the actuator to determine whether a user has changed the state of the load. The load control device automatically adjusts the predetermined ambient light level threshold in response to the user actuations that change the state of the load.
