Abstract: A sensor apparatus may include a channel structure configured to couple with an external element and a fluid conduit, such that the channel structure may receive a fluid, at least partially drawn through the external element from an ambient environment, and direct the fluid through the fluid conduit. A sensor may generate sensor data indicating a flow rate of the fluid through the fluid conduit based on monitoring a variation in a pressure at a location in hydrodynamic contact with the fluid conduit and in relation to an ambient pressure of the ambient environment. The sensor apparatus may enable generation of improved topography information associated with flows of fluid drawn from the external element based on measuring a local pressure at the location in hydrodynamic contact with the fluid conduit and determining the ambient pressure based on monitoring the local pressure over time.

Abstract: The present description relates generally to methods and systems to compensate for oxygen sensor drift caused by hydrogen diffusion within the exhaust system. In one example, a method includes adjusting a fuel amount supplied to an engine based on an estimated amount of hydrogen in the reference cell of an oxygen sensor. In this way, oxygen sensor bias on sensed AFR may be corrected.

Abstract: Implementations of semiconductor packages may include: a substrate having a first side and a second side and a die having an active area on a second side of the die. A first side of the die may be coupled to the second side of the substrate. The semiconductor package may also include a glass lid having a first side and a second side. The glass lid may be coupled over a second side of the die. The semiconductor package may include a first and a second molding compound and one or more cushions positioned between a first side of the glass lid and a portion of the first molding compound. The second molding compound may be coupled to the substrate and the around the die and the glass lid.
Abstract: Techniques for intelligent service request control in an information processing system are provided. For example, a method comprises the following steps. In response to a failure of a request sent to a given service, data relating to one or more previous requests sent to the given service is analyzed. A recovery recommendation is generated based on the analyzing step and one or more factors, the recovery recommendation comprising a retry methodology to resend the request to the given service.
Abstract: A method and system for distributing electronic ticket status information over a network to a remote subscriber portable computing device for a live event includes providing an electronic ticket manager application to a subscriber for installation on the remote subscriber portable computing device. Ticket data for the live event is received over the Internet with a transmission server which has a microprocessor and a memory that stores a remote subscriber's preferences for ticket information format and destination address. The microprocessor filters the ticket data based on past live events and other subscribers who have attended past live events with the subscriber in a group seating arrangement. The microprocessor generates an alert that activates the portable computing device to display a message that suggests the subscriber may attend the live event and invite other subscribers to sit with the subscriber at the event.

Abstract: A vehicle body-variant adaptable shock tower system for a vehicle body structure having an axis, a vehicle frame rail arranged along the axis, a bulkhead arranged orthogonally relative to the frame rail. The system includes a shock tower spaced apart from the bulkhead and fixed to the frame rail. The system also includes a shock tower cap defining a plurality of receivers and a plurality of braces, wherein the number of braces corresponds to the body-variant. Each brace extends from the shock tower through a respective one of the receivers to the bulkhead, and is fixed to the shock tower and the bulkhead. The system additionally includes an adhesive applied between the shock tower cap, the plurality of braces, and the shock tower to thereby bond the shock tower cap, the braces, and the shock tower to each other and reinforce the vehicle body structure.

Abstract: Relays having internal connections on both sides of their switches may be used in conjunction with a connector that integrates both the normal relay switch control lines with the sensing conductors of a control module for a battery module of an energy storage device. In this manner, sensing conductors may be routed along with the switch control lines for the relay instead of separately as described above. This integration reduces the complexity and cost associated with the energy storage device, because it reduces the number of separately routed lines and also eliminates the external connections for at least some of the sensing conductors.

Abstract: A user activity pattern may be ascertained using signal data from a set of computing devices. The activity pattern may be used to infer user intent with regards to a user interaction with a computing device or to predict a likely future action by the user. In one implementation, a set of computing devices is monitored to detect user activities using sensors associated with the computing devices. Activity features associated with the detected user activities are determined and used to identify an activity pattern based on a plurality of user activities having similar features. Examples of user activity patterns may include patterns based on time, location, content, or other context. The inferred user intent or predicted future actions may be used to provide improved user experiences, such as personalization, modifying functionality of user devices, or providing more efficient consumption of bandwidth or power.
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method (and corresponding system and program product) that includes identifying, by a data processing system associated with a financial institution that is a party to an electronic financial transaction (EFT), an end of the EFT; based on the identifying, collecting, by the data processing system, all communications into and out of the financial institution relating to the EFT required to be accessible during a retention period for regulatory compliance, resulting in collected communications; storing, by the data processing system, the collected communications such that the collected communications are immutable during the retention period, resulting in stored communications; and making, by the data processing system, the stored communications available for queries during the retention period on a per-transaction basis.
