  • Patent number: 11037098
Abstract: Examples provide a system for managing disposition of returned items and/or items having damaged packaging. An item is identified based on item scan data. Item data associated with the item and condition data describing the condition of the item, including describing defects in the item or item packaging. The system identifies a set of applicable disposition options customized for the item. The system recommends a disposition from the set of applicable disposition options to assist the user with selection of an appropriate disposition. The disposition can include a price markdown, donation of the item, return of the item to a supplier, and so forth. If the selected option is a markdown of the item, the item disposition component generates a markdown amount for the selected item which avoids loss for the item. The item disposition system generates a label for the item including details of the selected disposition.

  • Patent number: 11037240
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for evaluating the integrity of a model portfolio designed to have substantially the same values, returns, or risk characteristics as a financial instrument. Embodiments include operating a first computer to perform a statistical comparison between said model portfolio and the financial instrument, wherein said statistical comparison compares at least one of the periodic values, returns, and risk characteristics of the model portfolio and the financial instrument over some period of time. The results of the statistical comparison are periodically published throughout a trading day for use by a trader to at least one (i) price and (ii) hedge an investment in the financial instrument. According to embodiments, the model portfolio does not reveal the holdings of a reference asset for the financial instrument.

  • Patent number: 11039218
Abstract: Instructions are transmitted to a client device that includes a display. The instructions cause the display to render a video relating to a sporting event and also render online gaming information relating to the sporting event. In one example, the instructions cause the first client device to: receive, on a first communication channel, first digital content corresponding to the video relating to the first sporting event; render, on the display of the client device, the video relating to the sporting event based on the first digital content received on the first communication channel; receive, on a second communication channel different from the first communication channel, second digital content corresponding to the online gaming information; and render, on the display of the client device, the online gaming information based on the second digital content received on the second communication channel.

  • Patent number: 11038762
Abstract: A method for arbitrarily grouping computer system resources includes receiving a resource policy to be applied to a group of resources associated with a user. The resource policy includes a unique user-defined label assigned to each resource of the group of resources. The method also includes identifying the group of resources among a plurality of resources using the user-defined label. Here, the plurality of resources is associated with the user and distributed across a plurality of different computing environments. For each identified resource of the group of resources, the method also includes applying the resource policy to a corresponding identified resource by accessing the respective computing environment where the corresponding identified resource resides.

  • Patent number: 11039180
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing multichannel video programming or content through a terrestrial fiber network of a telecommunications network. One or more high-quality content feeds may be provided to one or more replicator devices of the telecommunications network over a communication line. The replicator devices of the network then deliver one or more replicated content streams generated from the content feeds to any number of customers or receivers of the content also connected to the network. The replicators may be configured to, among other things, provide content streams according to a specific schedule, provide alternative content streams for particular customers or in response to particular events, or operate in conjunction with data analyzers for assessing the quality of the content stream or the reliability of the telecommunications network.

  • Patent number: 11034846
Abstract: This disclosure describes incorporation of a liquid additive within one or more phases of a multiphase polymer coating. The structure of the microphase-separated network provides reservoirs for liquid in discrete and/or continuous phases. Some variations provide an anti-fouling segmented copolymer composition comprising: (a) one or more first soft segments selected from fluoropolymers; (b) one or more second soft segments selected from polyesters or polyethers; (c) one or more isocyanate species; (d) one or more polyol or polyamine chain extenders or crosslinkers; and (e) a liquid additive disposed in the first soft segments and/or the second soft segments. The first soft segments and the second soft segments are microphase-separated on a microphase-separation length scale from 0.1 microns to 500 microns. These solid/liquid hybrid materials improve physical properties associated with the coating in applications such as anti-fouling (e.g.
