Abstract: Examples provide a system for managing disposition of returned items and/or items having damaged packaging. An item is identified based on item scan data. Item data associated with the item and condition data describing the condition of the item, including describing defects in the item or item packaging. The system identifies a set of applicable disposition options customized for the item. The system recommends a disposition from the set of applicable disposition options to assist the user with selection of an appropriate disposition. The disposition can include a price markdown, donation of the item, return of the item to a supplier, and so forth. If the selected option is a markdown of the item, the item disposition component generates a markdown amount for the selected item which avoids loss for the item. The item disposition system generates a label for the item including details of the selected disposition.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for evaluating the integrity of a model portfolio designed to have substantially the same values, returns, or risk characteristics as a financial instrument. Embodiments include operating a first computer to perform a statistical comparison between said model portfolio and the financial instrument, wherein said statistical comparison compares at least one of the periodic values, returns, and risk characteristics of the model portfolio and the financial instrument over some period of time. The results of the statistical comparison are periodically published throughout a trading day for use by a trader to at least one (i) price and (ii) hedge an investment in the financial instrument. According to embodiments, the model portfolio does not reveal the holdings of a reference asset for the financial instrument.

Abstract: A method for arbitrarily grouping computer system resources includes receiving a resource policy to be applied to a group of resources associated with a user. Abstract: Systems and methods for providing multichannel video programming or content through a terrestrial fiber network of a telecommunications network. One or more high-quality content feeds may be provided to one or more replicator devices of the telecommunications network over a communication line. The replicator devices of the network then deliver one or more replicated content streams generated from the content feeds to any number of customers or receivers of the content also connected to the network. Abstract: A vehicle body-variant adaptable shock tower system for a vehicle body structure having an axis, a vehicle frame rail arranged along the axis, a bulkhead arranged orthogonally relative to the frame rail. The system includes a shock tower spaced apart from the bulkhead and fixed to the frame rail. The system also includes a shock tower cap defining a plurality of receivers and a plurality of braces, wherein the number of braces corresponds to the body-variant. Each brace extends from the shock tower through a respective one of the receivers to the bulkhead, and is fixed to the shock tower and the bulkhead. The system additionally includes an adhesive applied between the shock tower cap, the plurality of braces, and the shock tower to thereby bond the shock tower cap, the braces, and the shock tower to each other and reinforce the vehicle body structure.

Abstract: A golf training device may aid both left and right-handed golfers to ensure proper stance width using a numbering system based on shoulder width. The training device may ensure proper ball placement off the golfer's front heel to ensure consistent ball striking location in swing. The training device may further ensure proper front foot angle along a swing path for full, pitching, and/or chipping swings and proper rear foot offset from the target line and stance width to ensure consistent swing arch based on the selected club. The training device may be flipped over depending on which hand the golfer uses, and it may be separated or collapsed to be placed in the golfer's bag for storage and/or transport.
Abstract: A method and system of and for securing a lumen or catheter, after placement in a patient, to prevent unwanted removal or dislodgement of the lumen or catheter caused by patient movement and/or further medical interventions such as cardiopulmonary chest compressions, electrical defibrillation, surgical procedures, and the like. The method and system comprising simple and sterile materials that preclude the use of excessive suturing and ineffective ad-hoc methods with tape and gauze. The catheter is secured by a rubber on plastic frictional force and will resist external forces while preventing the tube structure from bending and subsequent occlusion. The device can be comfortably attached to the patient in all of the anatomical locations typically targeted for large catheter installment. The method of securement is rapid and requires only a single personnel to handle the device and the catheter tube simultaneously.

The substrate has a front side and a back side opposite the front side. Notches are formed in the substrate. The notches extend from the front side of the substrate into the substrate. After forming notches in the substrate, the back side of the substrate is thinned to expose the notches.
