Abstract: Multiplexed test measurements are conducted using an assay module having a plurality of assay domains. In preferred embodiments, these measurements are conducted in assay modules having integrated electrodes with a reader apparatus adapted to receive assay modules, induce luminescence, preferably electrode induced luminescence, in the wells or assay regions of the assay modules and measure the induced luminescence.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a bespoke eyewear and a system and a method for manufacturing the bespoke eyewear. In one aspect, the method for manufacturing the bespoke eyewear frame includes capturing one or more facial images of a user using an image capturing device, generating a facial model from said one or more facial images, extracting a plurality of facial parameters from the facial model, generating a three-dimensional digital model of an eyewear frame based at least in part on one or more of the facial parameters of the user, and transmitting the three-dimensional digital model to an additive manufacturing apparatus for additively manufacturing the bespoke eyewear frame.

Abstract: A cloth accessory and methods for the use thereof are disclosed and described. In one aspect, the cloth accessory may include a cover member forming an enclosure with a cavity therein, and a cloth attached to the cover member. The cloth may have a first configuration wherein the cloth is retracted substantially into the cover member, and a second configuration wherein the cloth is extended substantially out of the cover member without becoming detached therefrom.

Abstract: Described herein is a clip for connecting an access cover to a pole. The clip may comprise a plate, a lip, and a spring arm. The plate will comprise a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first edge, and a second edge opposite the first edge. The lip will extend from the first surface of the clip at the first edge, and may comprise a threaded hole. The spring arm will extend from the second surface at the second edge, and may comprise a proximal end, a mid-section, and a bowed distal end. The proximal end will be attached to the second surface at the second edge while the mid-section will be attached to and extend from the proximal end, and the bowed distal end will be attached to and extend from the mid-section. The clip may be manufactured of a material having an elastic modulus (E) in the range of between 150 to 300 GPa.

Abstract: Implementations of an adaptive assisted grip apparatus are provided. In some implementations, the adaptive assisted grip apparatus comprises a holder and a wrist strap. In some implementations, a method of using the adaptive assisted grip apparatus comprises inserting a makeup applicator or other suitable item into the holder, placing the wrist strap around a user's wrist, grasping and holding the makeup applicator or other suitable item using the holder, and using the wrist strap to prevent the makeup applicator or other suitable item inserted in the holder from falling to the floor/ground or otherwise being dropped if/when the user loses grip of the holder.

Abstract: Aspects described herein disclose devices, systems, and methods for use in contexts such as minimally invasive surgery (MIS). A device is provided herein having a proximal portion and a distal portion, and an ultrasound transducer may be disposed within the distal portion and configured to scan tissue and identify certain portions of a patent's anatomy during the scanning process. The results of the detection may be presented to an operator of the device aurally and/or visually, such as in a 3-D volumetric image. By scanning the tissue, identifying the anatomy, and presenting the results to an operator, unnecessary damage to elements of the patients anatomy may be avoided or lessened. In some aspects, multiple transducers may be positioned on the device to increase the scanning range and/or scanning accuracy of the device. The device may provide an inner channel for the passage of surgical tools while scanning tissue.

Abstract: The present invention relates to process for preparing a thermoplastic polyolefin composition comprising a) providing a reactive polyolefin composition comprising a polyolefin resin and a rheology modifier, which is free of peroxide initiator; b) heating the reactive polyolefin composition to a temperature of 180° C. to 300° C.; and c) subjecting the reactive polyolefin composition to a specific energy of equal to or more than 0.15 kWh/kg to obtain the thermoplastic polyolefin composition, the thermoplastic polyolefin composition obtainable by said process, an article comprising said thermoplastic polyolefin composition and the use of a rheology modifier, which is free of peroxide initiator, in said reactive polyolefin composition for increasing the viscosity at a constant shear stress of 747 Pa of the thermoplastic polyolefin composition, eta747 (Comp), by reacting the polyolefin resin and the rheology modifier at a temperature in the range of from 180° C. to 300° C.

Abstract: A method and system to deliver to a submerged diver only that amount of breathing gas volume and pressure required at the diver's depth by controlling the actions of a valve in response to inhalation demand. A sensing unit detects diver respiration, and a logic unit controls a valve to deliver breathing gas to the diver from a breathing gas source via a tube.

Abstract: An imaging device may include single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). To improve the sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio of the SPADs, light scattering structures may be formed in the semiconductor substrate to increase the path length of incident light through the semiconductor substrate. To mitigate crosstalk, an isolation structure may be formed in a ring around the SPAD. The isolation structure may be a hybrid isolation structure with both a metal filler that absorbs light and a low-index filler that reflects light. The isolation structure may be formed as a single trench or may include a backside deep trench isolation portion and a front side deep trench isolation portion. The isolation structure may also include a color filtering material.

A system includes a host machine that includes a database, processor, and non-transitory computer readable media comprising instructions executable by the processor to obtain, via the database, a network configuration, spawn a container according to the network configuration, wherein the container is configured, based on the network configuration, to be coupled to a network overlay via a network interface, receive, via the network interface, incoming data associated with the container, the incoming data having attached one or more attached network data attributes, and identify, via the database, the attached one or more network data attributes attached to the incoming data as one or more network data attributes of the network data model.

Abstract: A system and method reports rules violations to a monitoring device relating to use of a monitored mobile device. The two devices use separate app versions linked through verification codes. The monitoring device establishes rules for use of the monitored device. When the monitored device app detects usage in violation of the rules, rule violations are reported to the monitoring app. Rules can be established that apply only in certain contexts, such as when driving a motor vehicle. The monitored app can submit a request to the monitoring app to enter passenger mode in order to avoid rule violations. The linked monitoring app can approve or deny the request. A distress stream can be started on the monitored app with a single button push. The stream is shared with the monitoring app and is automatically recorded during the stream at server location.

Abstract: A low acid beverage product such as e.g. coffee, cold brew coffee or nitro cold brew coffee product that is shelf stable for 180 days at refrigerated conditions including a sealed container having a liquid portion and a headspace. The liquid portion has the beverage with oxygen dissolved therein. A method of manufacturing the beverage includes dissolving oxygen and into a cold beverage and packaging the liquid beverage product with oxygen dissolved therein into a sealed container. The liquid beverage product also includes flavorings or sweeteners or milk products in the sealed container and remains free from Clostridium botulinum (C. bot).

Abstract: A method for detecting anomalies in a system. The method includes collecting training data from the system, converting the training data into training images using an image generator, and designating each of the training images as corresponding to events for the system, where the events are at least one of an expected normal event and a non-normal event. The method further includes generating an image recognition model based on the training images and the designations thereof. The method further includes collecting new data from the system, converting the new data into input images, and analyzing the input images using the image recognition model to determine which of the events for the system are represented in the input images, where the anomalies are detected when the input images are determined to at least one of represent a non-normal event and fail to represent an expected normal event.

Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for periodically refreshing word line voltages in a memory device. A decision to perform a refresh operation is made based on the temperature and number of program-erase (P-E) cycles. In one approach, the refresh operation is not performed if the number of P-E cycles is below a threshold number and/or the temperature is below a threshold temperature. When the temperature and number of P-E cycles indicate that a refresh operation should be performed, a timer counts an elapsed time until the elapsed time reaches an allowed discharge time. The allowed discharge time can be based on the temperature, number of P-E cycles, and other factors which affect an expected number of fail bits. The allowed discharge time can also change as the temperature changes during the counting of the elapsed time.

The base includes a divider structure including separation walls. At least one of the separation walls defines an abutment surface against which a forward end of the electrical cable abuts when terminated by the electrical plug connector. The plug housing defines slots so that the electrical contacts are accessible. The electrical plug connector axially secures an outer jacket of the electrical cable against rearward movement relative to base. The at least one separation wall inhibits forward axial movement of the outer jacket of the electrical cable relative to the base.

Abstract: A low voltage drive circuit (LVDC) includes a digital to digital converter that converts transmit digital data into a digital input signal, wherein the transmit digital data is synchronized to a clock rate of a host device and the digital input signal is synchronized to a clock rate of a bus to which the LVDC is coupled. An output limited digital to analog is converter converts the digital input signal into analog outbound data by generating a DC component and converting the digital input signal into an oscillating component at a first frequency, wherein magnitude of the oscillating component is limited to a range that is less than a difference between magnitudes of power supply rails of the LVDS, and wherein the oscillating component and the DC component are combined to produce the analog outbound data.

The method may further include, when a result of the determination is to not use the first primary transform: (i) deriving a second transform core based on the same set of unique numbers, and (ii) decoding using the derived second transform core.
